The Psychological Assessment Clinical Supervisor oversees psychological assessment batteries, reports, and provides clinical supervision to interns, trainees, and staff within the Behavioral Health department. This position is responsible for the supervision and/or consultation, and training of interns, trainees, and licensed program staff in the Behavioral Health department to ensure high standards of clinical practice. Additionally, the position includes direct client services, with a minimum caseload of one client.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Provide clinical supervision and consultation for staff and doctoral interns/ trainees.
  • Oversee assessment processes, review clinical documentation, conduct live supervision, identify assessment-specific development needs, and provide performance feedback.
  • Facilitate clinical didactic training sessions.
  • Provide educational support to trainees, interns, and staff.
  • Deliver culturally sensitive, client centered individual/group/family counseling/rehabilitation direct services.
  • Development of culturally relevant assessments and treatment plans.
  • Facilitate referrals to community resources and performs case management services.
  • Complete all documentation per Medi-Cal, Santa Clara County, Board of Psychology, Board of Behavioral Services and AACI standards within deadlines.
  • Conduct psychological assessment and testing for assigned clients.
  • Complete and maintain LPS 5150 Authorization certification and provide officer of the day support.
  • Assist in evaluating interns and trainees for Master's and Doctoral programs.
  • Complete other duties and related projects as assigned.
Qualifications

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

  • Ph.D./Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology is required.
  • Current license in Psychology from the California Board of Psychology.
  • Two years or more of post licensure experience.
  • Two years of psychological testing, including neuropsychological testing and report writing experience.
  • Experience providing clinical supervision and supervision for psychological and neuropsychological testing.
  • Experience with electronic health records, EPIC preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Knowledge of therapeutic modalities, treatment approaches, and trauma-informed care, and knowledge of engagement strategies for various clinical populations.
  • Knowledge of effective clinical supervision strategies and clinical didactic trainings.
  • Knowledge of and experience with the clinical, ethical and legal aspects of risk assessment, prevention, and intervention including abuse, dangerousness to self and/or others, and grave disability.
  • Skilled in the supervision, and provision of psychological testing measures, including assessment of ADHD, personality, intelligence, performance validity, and neuropsychological measures, to include for clients presenting with traumatic brain injuries (TBIs), and dementia.

Competencies:

  • Ability to communicate well with people of diverse cultural professional and experiential background.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

Working conditions

Work is conducted in an officeenvironment. This is a hybrid position requiring onsite, in office work. Basic safety precautions and use of protective clothing or gear may be required.

CNaP engages in direct clinical care and pioneering research projects that advance the fields of psychology and medicine and improve patient outcomes, and support families of children with a wide range of neurodevelopmental disabilities. Common presenting concerns include ADHD, anxiety and mood concerns, specific learning disorders, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), and disruptive behaviors through our Executive Function (EF), Emotion and Behavior Disorder (EBD), Development and Early Learning (DEL), Pathways to Young Adulthood (Pathways), and Targeted Assessment clinics. Patients range in age from toddler through young adulthood.

Responsibilities
1. Complete comprehensive psychological evaluations for youth with neurodevelopmental disorders. This includes:
    a. Conducting intake interviews to ascertain the needs of clients.
    b. Selecting, administering, and scoring psychological tests to assess intellectual functioning, academic achievement, attention and executive functioning,      memory, and socio-emotional status.
    c. Interpreting test findings based upon current research in psychological assessment and available evidence-based approaches.
    d. Writing comprehensive reports regarding diagnostic interpretations and next step management/strategy plans.
    e. Providing interpretative information to parents and/or primary caregivers
2. Participate in weekly clinic rounds to discuss diagnoses and conceptualize treatment/management of patients with other psychologists and trainees.
3. Assist Center Co-Directors in the development of clinical initiatives.
4. Maintain productivity standards.
5. Maintain documentation and reporting standards in our electronic medical record (EMR).

**Overview**
The Research Assistant I will be responsible for maintenance of existing research databases, development of new databases, and data linking procedures. The

psychological assessment and testing in our growing Department of Pediatric Behavioral Health and
Neurosciences.
Primary Duties: This position will support our growing division and outpatient assessment program.
The Center for Attention and Learning provides a range of diagnostic evaluations and specialized
consultation services for children with potential neurodevelopmental differences. The primary role for
this psychologist will be to provide outpatient assessment, testing and consultation with potential for
some outpatient treatment. Primary location will be the Children's Hospital for Rehabilitation and flexible
scheduling and some remote work is an opportunity.
Other Opportunities: While this position is primarily focused on assessment of attention and learning,
there are opportunities to build clinical integration in other medical divisions, (e.g., Neurology,
Developmental Behavioral Pediatrics). This psychologist may also participate in supervising bachelor's
and master's level providers in outpatient settings. There are also opportunities for program
development and integration of clinical and quality improvement research.

**What You'll Do:**
As part of a collaborative, dedicated team, you will have the opportunity to engage in a variety of clinical activities, including working with approximately 25 clinical psychologists and neuropsychologists as well as Psychology Associates, and clinical psychology postdoctoral fellows and externs. CNaP engages in direct clinical care and pioneering research projects that advance the fields of psychology and medicine and improve patient outcomes, and support families of children with a wide range of neurodevelopmental disabilities. Common presenting concerns include ADHD, anxiety and mood concerns, specific learning disorders, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), and disruptive behaviors through our Executive Function (EF), Emotion and Behavior Disorder (EBD), Development and Early Learning (DEL), Pathways to Young Adulthood (Pathways), and Targeted Assessment clinics. Patients range in age from toddler through young adulthood.

Responsibilities
1. Complete comprehensive psychological evaluations for youth with neurodevelopmental disorders in English and Spanish. This includes:
a. Conducting intake interviews to ascertain the needs of clients.
b. Selecting, administering, and scoring psychological tests (available in English and Spanish) to assess intellectual functioning, academic achievement, attention and executive functioning, memory, and socio-emotional status.
c. Interpreting test findings based upon current research in psychological assessment and available evidence-based approaches.
d. Writing comprehensive reports regarding diagnostic interpretations and next step management/strategy plans.
e. Providing interpretative information to parents and/or primary caregivers
2. Participate in weekly clinic rounds to discuss diagnoses and conceptualize treatment/management of patients with other psychologists and trainees.
3. Assist Center Co-Directors in the development of clinical initiatives.
4. Maintain productivity standards.
5. Maintain documentation and reporting standards in our electronic medical record (EMR).

6. Develop and implement short-term intervention programs targeting specific patient population needs.
7. Engage in the robust training program, including supervision of externs and postdoctoral fellows and participation in didactics (professional development seminar, case conference, journal club, cultural and linguistic rounds, etc.)

**What We're Looking For:**

A postdoctoral fellowship in psychology with emphasis on clinical assessment is preferred. This position requires the incumbent to be bilingual in English and Spanish with a proficiency level that meets the Institutes minimum standards.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Licensure in Maryland as a psychologist is required.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish with a proficiency level that meets the Institutes minimum standards - Advanced Low for bilingual clinicians. Able to speak Spanish fluently with ease and confidence in a variety of topics related to work, home, leisure activities, as well as events of current, public or personal interest or individual relevance. Able to convey intended message with accuracy, clarity and precision without misrepresentation or confusion while being readily understood by native speakers.


EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
• Doctoral degree in Psychology from an APA/CPA-accredited college or university.
• Completion of APA/CPA-accredited pre-doctoral internship.

EXPERIENCE:
• Minimum of 1 year experience in working with a population of children with neurodevelopmental disabilities. This experience may be satisfied through postdoctoral training in psychology.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in clinical assessment/psychological testing with children, preferably within the last two years.
• Experience conducting monolingual (Spanish) or bilingual (English/Spanish) assessments preferred.

**Description**
The Department of Psychology at Emory University is now offering a 12-month post-doctoral fellowship in conducting cognitive assessments and delivering empirically-based psychological treatments. The fellow will be housed in the Emory University Psychological Center, which is sliding-scale outpatient clinic open to the community. The clinic is located on Emory's main campus in Atlanta, Georgia.
This fellowship is intended for psychologists who have successfully completed an American Psychological Association-approved internship and wish to refine their skills in assessment and EBTs. The fellow will report to and work closely with Zainab Delawalla, Ph.D., clinic director, and Hanan Trotman, Ph.D., director of assessment. Full salary and benefits are guaranteed for one year, with an option of renewal for a second year based on the fellow's interests.
Fellowship Training: Emphasis is placed on honing the fellow's assessment skills through conducting comprehensive cognitive evaluations across the developmental spectrum. Typical referral questions include attention and executive function disorders, learning disorders, mood disorders, etc. The fellow will also be able to accrue intervention experience through delivering time-limited, empirically supported treatments, including CBT, DBT, ACT, etc.
In addition to these clinical responsibilities, a portion of the fellow's time will be dedicated to teaching and training junior-level psychology trainees. The fellow is also expected to contribute to research efforts within the clinic, including applying for external funding, study design and implementation, and manuscript preparation or other related tasks.

Necessary skills/qualifications: Completion of doctoral degree from an APA, CPA, or PCSAS accredited program, as well as successful completion of APA-accredited internship. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, independent, and reliable. Grant writing experience is a plus, but not required.
JOB DESCRIPTION: Helps design and conduct research within a specified field while receiving advanced training from a designated Principal Investigator to enhance professional skills and research independence needed for pursuit of a career. The specific area of research in which the trainee is mentored is determined by the department and laboratory of the Postdoc. Designs and evaluates experiments. Develops new ideas that promote current research. Prepares and publishes scientific manuscripts under the direction of the Principal Investigator. May be responsible for operation of specific equipment. May teach techniques to others, train, and supervise research staff. Positions are temporary appointments as a research trainee. The initial appointment is for one year, renewal expected if progress is satisfactory and funds are available. Appointments cannot exceed five years.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A doctoral degree or equivalent (Ph.D., M.D., ScD., D.V.M., DDS etc) in an appropriate field. Excellent scientific writing ability and strong oral communication skills.
