The Forklift Operator is responsible for operating power industrial trucks for the purpose of moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting merchandise. The operator is accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the vehicle and may also be required to perform Order Filler and Checker duties in addition to his or her own. They are responsible for the accurate storing, shipping and receiving of product to meet company standards of safety, security, and productivity.

As part of the DSV team, Associates are expected to meet company objectives in the areas of performance, safety, and quality. Associates are expected to comply with all corporate and site-specific policies.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Receiving/Put-Away:

• Unload inbound shipments safely and move product to storage locations. Input data accurately into WMS.
• Efficiently stack and store product in appropriate area.
• Maintain an organized work area.

Order Picking:

• Pull and prepare for shipment, ensuring that the exact number and type of product is loaded and shipped.
• Perform picking duties in an efficient manner that meets customer service standards.
• Prepare freight for operations accurately and in a timely manner as required.

Quality:

• Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage.
• Report quality variances

Delivery:

• Efficiently moves product form staging and/or storage to production lines and/or staging docks.

This position is located in Ridgefield, NJ Details for the position are as follows: Payrate: $23/hr W2 Job Title: Material Handler / Forklift OperatorLocation: Ridgefield, NJDuration: 9 months contract3rd Shift: 9:30pm to 6:00am; Mon-Fri. Job Description: Responsible for raw material, finished goods distribution and the coordination of material movement between warehouse and production areas. Ability read and understand specific SOPs procedures. Experience in shipping and receiving. Ability to pick and prepare orders according to SOPs procedures. Pharmaceutical, and GMP Experience. Experience in Athena (SAP) System 3+ years . Forklift certified 5+ years. Ability to prepare components (Supplying the Manufacturing line. May operate motorized and non-motorized material handling equipment (Power Industrial Trucks). Store, transfer and distribute material according to specific material requirements. Receives detailed instructions on all work. All activities are closely supervised, and work is reviewed upon completion. The Material Handler, CAR-T Warehouse Operations manages material needs/requirements for CAR-T production per Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in controlled and/or classified environments under the supervision of Warehousing Operations Management. Material Handlers must adhere to regulatory requirements while performing job functions. Job duties are performed within a team according to an assigned, production shift schedule. Communication of production deviations and assistance with quality investigations are required, as applicable.

Shifts Available:

• Sunday to Wednesday, Onsite Afternoon Shift, 4 p.m. - 2:30 a.m.

Responsibilities:

• Performs inventory control: cycle counts, material stocking, scrapping, at a minimum.

• Manages material expiry, allocation, kitting, and maintains material condition requirements.

• Quantifies and maintains materials in production dispensary.

• Perform apheresis receipt of incoming raw materials and prepares final product shipments for couriers.

• Maintains timing according to the production schedule to ensure on-time logistics.

• Records material handling data and information in a clear, concise, format according to proper GDPs.

• Works in a team based, cross-functional environment to complete warehousing tasks required by shift schedule.

• Must be able to work in an environment with blood derived components.

• Other duties may be assigned as necessary.

• Performs other tasks as assigned.

• Available to work OT if / when business requires.

• Flexible to work across both Summit and Warren NJ sites if needed.

Knowledge & Skills:

• Knowledge of cGMP/FDA regulated industry

• Basic mathematical skills

• General understanding of cGMPs

• Technical writing capability

• Proficient in MS Office applications

• Inventory control and/or management

• Background to include an understanding of biology, chemistry, medical or clinical practices is a plus

Basic Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree

• OR Associate/ Medical Technical degree and 2 years of Manufacturing or Warehouse experience.

• OR High School diploma/GED and 4 years of Manufacturing or Warehouse experience.

Working Conditions:

• Intermittent walking and sitting to perform job functions; however, ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time may be necessary.

• Physical dexterity sufficient to use computers and documentation.

• Sufficient vision and hearing capability to work in job environment.

• Ability to lift from 25- 50 pounds.

• Must have the ability to work around laboratories and controlled, enclosed, restricted areas.

• Cleanroom garments and personal protective equipment will be required in designated areas which cover head, parts of the face, core body, and legs/feet.

• Makeup, gum, nail polish, or other potential microbial sources are prohibited in restricted areas.

• Flexibility to don clean room garments and personal protective equipment (PPE).

• Clean room environment is an enclosed, restricted space, with assigned pressure and temperature conditions. Reagents, chemicals, and exposure to sanitization agents are expected.

• Routine exposure to human blood components.

• Designated areas may prohibit food, any outside materials such as cell phones, tablets, at a minimum.

Compensation Overview:

Summit West - NJ - US: $22.14 - $26.83 per hour

The starting compensation range(s) for this role are listed above for a full-time employee (FTE) basis. Additional incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility) may be available. The starting pay rate takes into account characteristics of the job, such as required skills, where the job is performed, the employee's work schedule, job-related knowledge, and experience. Final, individual compensation will be decided based on demonstrated experience.
