Summary : Perform forming process including heat treat, pre-form, roll form, brake form, hot form.
Fundamental Duties:
· Perform forming process including heat treat, pre-form, roll form, brake form, hot form.
· Prepare hot form and brake form dies for use, including the application and removal of lubricant.
· Operate hot form and brake form assets
· Operate and input data into control panels for equipment used in the forming process.
· Self-inspect parts to assure parts meet specification.
· Measure parts with scale, caliper, radius gauge, micrometer, angle gauges, and other tools to meet parts standards to verify conformance to specifications.
· Train other cell operators
· Follow all safety, quality, and standard work procedures and perform all tasks in a safe manner
· Perform Total Production Maintenance on equipment as required
· Troubleshoot problems related to finish processes, features, and equipment.
· Participate in problem solving activities to improve the safety, quality, and efficient performance of the fabrication department.
· Transport material, work in progress, or finished goods from one area to another via certified methods
· Other duties as assigned
Requirements:Skill & Competency Requirements:
· This position requires the physical ability to tolerate extreme heat
· Required to read and interpret blueprints and production orders and safety, operating, maintenance and procedure manuals
· Must have basic knowledge of math, math equations, and use of various measuring instruments
· Must work a full-time schedule and overtime as required

Essential job function is to monitor, operate, and maintain two (2) glass syringe forming machines in line with other equipment (printer, module or various automated barrel transfer systems), inspection equipment, and ovens. Conagra Brands in Hagerstown, proud makers of Gardein, is looking for a Forming & Frying Operator to join our 1st shift team. You will join a team of about 250 and will report to the Production Supervisor.
**Schedule:**
1st Shift | Monday - Friday | 4:30am - 2:30pm | You will need to be available for weekend work
**Starting Pay:**
$22.86/hour | Your wage will increase over time!
**Essential duties:**
You can perform all of the following job responsibilities:
+ Must understand all GMP's for producing quality product
+ Can understand production schedule
+ Must follow all OSHA and Plant safety rules
+ Assist operators with minor change-over aspects
+ Will perform tasks as assigned by Supervisor or Team Leader
+ Able to lift, push, pull up to 50 pounds
+ Other tasks as assigned **Level 2 must perform all above and below duties.**
+ Can assemble and operate high speed equipment, including Kitter, Mixer, Freezer, Former, and Fryer.
+ Can assist the Operators in all responsibilities such as clearing jams, stacking off, climbing, machine faults, loading of materials, checking code dates.
+ Responsible for recording of specific information in CDC
+ Follow Quality Assurance standards and WinSPC - computerized weight control
+ Responsible for minor repairs and adjustments of each machine center line
+ Responsible for staging changeover parts before changeover and returning changeover parts to changeover parts cart
