Description
The Embedded Software Engineer develops, ports, validates, and optimizes new algorithms, firmware, and software in the areas of computer vision, ADAS applications and autonomous driving on specific hardware architectures. This role is part of a talented cross functional team, supported by algorithm and system engineering teams. Future roles will involve porting/evolving the FPGA video pipeline to the ISP and DSP portions of an SOC. Your Responsibilities Work with other members of the camera development team to understand camera requirements, processor (FPGA) resource constraints, and existing architectural design decisions to develop and simulate portions of the video pipeline RTL. SAIC is seeking an FPGA Engineer to join the Advanced Hypersonic Weapons & Guided Munitions Division (E20) to support software development of Naval gun weapons systems in Dahlgren, VA.
**JOB RESPONSIBLITIES:**
+ Develop embedded systems software, primarily in C/C++ Develop performant, real-time Linux applications for resource constrained systems
+ Develop FPGA firmware to meet mission needs
+ Familiarity with BMS Interface Board - Raspberry Pi based interface to connect BMS to projectiles

We are seeking a highly experienced FPGA Engineer to join our team. This role involves designing and implementing RTL for high-speed networking applications, creating custom IP cores, and integrating third-party IP. The successful candidate will ensure timing closure across complex designs and work closely with both hardware and software engineers within a classified environment.
Responsibilities
+ Design and implement RTL for high-speed networking applications.
+ Develop custom IP cores and integrate third-party IP.
+ Ensure timing closure across complex designs.
+ Collaborate closely with hardware and software engineers in a classified environment.
+ Oversee FPGA implementation and optimization.
+ Support design verification and debug efforts.
Essential Skills
+ Bachelor's degree in electrical/computer engineering.
+ 7+ years of FPGA development experience.
+ Proficiency in System Verilog.
+ Extensive experience with Xilinx/Intel FPGA design tools.
+ Experience with high-speed interfaces such as PCIe, Ethernet, and DDR.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with network security applications, networking protocols and standards.
+ Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python and Tcl.
+ Active TS/SCI Clearance.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $16000.00 - $2000.00/yr.
