**Schedule**
Full Time: 80 Hours/Biweekly
Hours Vary: 11:00am - 7:00pm; 12:00pm - 8:00pm or 1:00pm - 9:00pm
**General Summary**
Monitors and provides security services for all WellSpan Health System buildings and premises in the assigned region. Provides protective services for employees, patients, and visitors. This position is responsible for security checks, protection services, training, conducting drills, security assessments and recommendations across the system in assigned regions of WellSpan Health sites.
**Duties and Responsibilities**
**Essential Functions:**
+ Conducts daily routine patrols by visiting and contacting WellSpan Health personnel at all locations within the region.
+ Protects WellSpan Health system buildings, assets, and premises with proactive patrols.
+ Monitors security activities in the assigned region to ensure safe and secure conditions for employees, patients, and visitors.
+ Monitors the conduct of visitors on premises; confronts unauthorized persons for questioning as needed; secures weapons and contraband.
+ Responds to alarms, panic alarms, calls for service, emergency situations such as accidents, injuries, crimes in progress and safety hazards within the assigned region.
+ Responds to calls for service for anticipated or on-going disruptive or potentially dangerous people or situations.
+ Responds to unusual or emergency situations within the region and uses the appropriate force to resolve situations by following established training, policies, and procedures, provides physical restraint of patients and others as needed.
+ Provides assistance, summons proper authorities and polices the area to maintain order, safety and to protect property.
+ Employs all necessary equipment to include Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) during situations that are deemed unsafe and during interactions with precaution patients.
+ Conducts investigations, prepares incident reports and collaborates with local, state, or national agencies relative to safety and/or security investigations.
+ Supports WellSpan Health personnel (who are victims) through investigations and by collaborating with local, state, and federal agencies conducted by law enforcement.
+ Responds and is a resource to inquiries for advice or assistance from employees, students, visitors, and other customers.
+ Works collaboratively with risk management, legal, human resources, and all applicable departments in relation to WellSpan Health investigations.
+ Conducts routine inspections of parking lots for compliance with parking regulations.
+ Observes and reports any safety violations, unsafe work practices, or conditions to the appropriate leader(s).
+ Maintains vehicles, radios, and other assigned equipment to ensure proper functioning.
+ Establishes and maintains a listing of all facilities in the region which include contact and general security information.
+ Reports all suspicious activity, parking violations and abandoned vehicles.
+ Escorts personnel and visitors to parking lots and hospital buildings.
+ Notifies police in case of theft, breaking and entering or other related criminal matters requiring notification of authorities.
+ Maintains records, prepares incident reports and other documents pertinent to safety and security activities and attends hearings.
+ Conducts routine visual inspections; reports safety and/or fire hazards or security violations.
+ Responds and assists with onsite fire drills; responds to on site fire alarms and assists the responding fire department.
+ Secures and/or unlocks offices and facilities.
+ Supports the parking policy, enforcing parking regulations, providing traffic management, and performing other related duties.
+ Complies with all department and organizational policies and procedures.
+ Assists with care and maintenance of department equipment and supplies.
+ Prepares clear, concise, and factual incident reports.
+ Ensures all documentation is submitted as required prior to end of shift.
+ Completes vehicle checklist.
+ Completes monthly inspections as required to include but not limited to panic alarm inspections, fire extinguisher inspections, door alarm inspections to include supporting documentation.
+ Provides daily, weekly, and monthly statistical reports and data to security leadership.
+ Responds to calls for assistance inside and outside the region when needed or directed for special events or circumstances.

+ Participates in department meetings and in-service meetings as directed.

**Qualifications**
**Minimum Education:**
