About the Role:
This job is part of the CBRE Data Center Solutions Project Management function. They are responsible for the management of projects from initiation through completion.
The Head of Projects is responsible for the delivery and oversight of Data Center Projects across all Business Units within this region. Additionally, the Head of Projects supports and manages all client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor and to grow the business relationship and projects offering within Data Centre Solutions. Foster the relationship with key clients within our existing MA portfolio and new clients outside our existing client base.
The Head of Projects will ensure alignment between the account organization and other departments within DCS to maximize value creation and ensure excellence in project delivery by providing direction and oversight to enable business unit and account teams to positively contribute and comprehensively manage the fulfilment of our commitment to the client.
What You'll Do:
**General Business Responsibilities**
- Provide formal supervision for employees. Monitor the training and development of staff. Conduct performance evaluations and coaching. Oversee the recruiting and hiring of new employees.
- Coordinate and manage the team's daily activities. Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff. Set and track staff and department deadlines. Mentor and coach as needed.
- Oversee all phases of project management including procurement, contracting, planning, tracking, and execution.
- Ensure that contract procurement, negotiation, execution, administration, and closeout are accurate, timely, and compliant.
- Monitor billing, accounts receivable collection, expense monitoring and control, staffing, and full P&L to EBITDA.
- Work cross-functionally with other business lines to achieve the company's strategic business objectives.
- Identify complex project risks, lead reviews, and develop risk mitigation and backup plans.
- Apply a broad knowledge of the business, own discipline, and how own discipline integrates with others to achieve team and departmental objectives.

**Business Development & Marketing**
- Report on all major DC developments in the region ensuring the senior management team are fully informed of all potential opportunities in the market.
- Build relationships with key stakeholders in all major Data Centers in the region.
- Provide leadership in identifying and specifying project opportunities and in delivering contractual commitments.
- Delivering effective business communication and direct contribution to management team meetings, briefings, consultation forums, monthly and ad-hoc reporting and other publications, as appropriate.
- Acts as an expert in DCS business, culture and strategy by proactively contributing to the improvement of the DCS business
**Management, Planning & Value Creation** :
- To ensure projects are delivered to completion on time and on budget and to the satisfaction of all parties, expectations to be exceeded wherever possible.
- To identify, reduce and manage all project risks (technical, statutory, health and safety, commercial or otherwise).
- Build individual relationships with industry manufacturers & distributors.
- Ensure compliance with CBRE project management policies and procedures.
- Ensure the provision of healthy and safe working conditions and that both clients and Company health and safety policy and process are effectively implemented across both CBRE and sub-contractor activities and are regularly reviewed on every project.
- Building strong relationships with sub-contractors, in particular preferred suppliers, to ensure cost-effective solutions which meet our quality expectations can be delivered to our clients whilst managing the risk.
- Establish and execute resource & people strategy.
- Development of projects in line with financial plans for revenue and profit delivery.
- Manage the delivery of projects within agreed budget requirements with the target to maximize profit through cost reductions and better buying of sub-contractor services.
- Ensure appropriate control systems to ensure statutory, policy and contractual commitments are met.

What You'll Need:
- Bachelor's Degree preferred with 5 - 8 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered. LEED AP, PMP, and CCM designations preferred.
- Experience in the areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention is preferred.
- Ability to lead the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations and handle problems.
- Leadership skills to motivate the team to achieve broad operational targets with impacts on own job discipline, multiple job disciplines, and department.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.

The minimum salary for the Data Center Head of Projects is is $170,000 annually and the maximum salary of $185,000 annually The compensation offered to a successful candidate will depend on their skills, qualifications, and experience. + Proactively assesses projects for potential problem areas. Investigates, develops, and evaluates solutions to a wide range of very complex problems spanning across multiple projects.
**JOB QUALIFICATIONS**
**Required Education**
Bachelor's degree and at least 1 PM course required.
**Required Experience**
5-8 years of relevant work experience in business, engineering, or a related field in lieu of degree acceptable.
**Preferred Education**
Additional formal training in PM preferred.
**Preferred License, Certification, Association**
PMP or Six Sigma Green Belt Certification desired.
