Mineral Processing Laboratory Technician:The primary responsibilities of a mineral processing laboratory technician are to carry out the tasks assigned to him/her by the Metallurgical Engineer, Sr Metallurgical Technician, or the designated supervisor, safely and efficiently. These tasks are varied, and you will be trained for each specific task you will be asked to perform.The following list includes most of the tasks that are to be performed by the Metallurgical Laboratory Technician. Most of these tasks will have a written procedure and will be preceded by training prior to starting any task.Essential Job Functions may include the following or other duties as assigned:

- Minimum Education: HS Diploma/GED
- Prior analytical laboratory, chemistry, core handling or mining experience but not required.
- Must be able to utilize basic math skills to calculate dilution factors and solution concentrations quickly and accurately.
- Must have effective communication skills, as well as interpersonal, problem solving and basic math skills to perform routine calculations and recognize, correct and inform others when quality control is out of range.
- Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining the highest level of quality assurance and compliance.
- Must be able to follow directions completely, accurately and consistently.
- Must have strong organizational and documentation skills.
- Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel to develop and maintain spreadsheets reports, and other documentation.

- Must have reliable transportation to and from the jobsite.
- Required Availability: Primarily Monday through Friday; however, some evenings, weekends, holidays and overtime may be required.
