Adecco is now hiring for a manufacturing company for a Shipping & Receiving position in Burbank, California.
The Shipping & Receiving individual will be responsible for handling the domestic and international shipping requirements of the manufacturing facility. The Shipping and Receiving individual will perform and/or supervise general physical activities in order to load, unload, sort and move shipments by hand or using material handling equipment. Manage verification, acceptance, counting, and inputting into ERP system of all incoming goods and their condition. This is a temp to hire position for the right candidate.
Responsibilities:
+ Pull, pack spares and Print sales from Sales Order pick tickets
+ Confirm International Sales Order pick tickets
+ Prepare orders for shipping
+ Put away and transact materials from inspection or receiving as needed
+ Pull and transact kitting work orders for assembly as needed
+ Schedules and coordinates delivery of all materials to customers
+ Manages the shipment and receipt of all products, materials, and supplies
+ Collaborates and communicates with customer service representatives, service providers, and others involved in the shipment and receipt of products
+ Tracks, traces, and updates the status of incoming and outgoing shipments
+ Promptly unloads trucks and deliveries and sorts and stock receivables
+ Maintains an accurate log sheet of daily moves, scanning inventory, and counting accurately
+ Responding to customer inquiries and referring clients to the proper channels
+ Review pick slips and shipping documents to ensure accuracy
+ Makes special shipping arrangements as necessary
+ Prepares bills and invoices
+ Track and fix shipping errors
+ Packaging units to process for shipment. This includes but is not limited to building crates, palletizing, and foam packing of shipments.
+ Maintains departmental records such as UPS shipments, package inventories, and packing slips.
+ Generates proper shipping labels and insures correct application according to established policies and procedures.
+ Involvement in process improvement initiatives and projects
+ May be required to back-up receiving department which would include coordinating shipping and receiving, including verifying receipt of shipments with purchase orders, noting damages incurred.
+ Perform other duties as needed

+ 3-5 years of Shipping & Receiving experience in an Aerospace or Equivalent Manufacturing environment.
+ **Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems, and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.) is a must**
+ **Knowledge of major couriers - FedEx, Purolator, UPS, etc. including how to operate their respective software packages**
+ **Experience with preparing international shipments including customs documents is a MUST**
+ **Must be experienced in operation of hand tools, radial arm and circular saws, screw gun and nail gun to build shipping crates**
+ Must be highly organized, able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
+ Attention to detail and Time Management skills
+ Strong communicational skills
+ Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds
+ Must be flexible to work overtime if needed

Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Shipping & Receiving Specialist to join our team at our facility in Buford, GA. The ideal candidate will have experience in a manufacturing environment and possess excellent communication skills and time management.
As a Shipping & Receiving Specialist, you will be responsible for material storges, material movements, and other shipping/receiving tasks for DOMO warehouse locations; for managing incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy in inventory, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace; requires knowledge of all warehousing processes, including trailer safety, product labelling, rf scanner usage, and housekeeping.
Responsibilities
• Understands and adheres to all DOMO Company policies and procedures.
• Understands and adheres to all DOMO safety policies and procedures to prevent injury to self and others.
• Ensures materials and products are labelled and scanned immediately to ensure accuracy and material traceability.
• Understands difference in material types (raw materials vs. finished goods, blends, 1st choice vs. 2nd choice, waste, etc.).
• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips
• Prepare and package outgoing shipments according to company and carrier standards
• Maintain accurate records of shipments and inventory transactions
• Operate forklifts, and other warehouse equipment safely
• Collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure timely and efficient operations
• Perform routine inventory counts and assist with cycle counts
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
• Understands and follows correct process of scanners and Orbitus software system
• Understands receiving process (i.e. raw materials from vendors, packaging and supplies, customer returns, miscellaneous shipments)
• Understands outbound shipping process (i.e. customer orders, vendor returns, material transfers, miscellaneous shipments)
• Ensures that all products are labelled, secured to prevent contamination, and can be safely transported and placed in a rack or row.
• Ensures the warehouse, staging zones, and other common areas are prepared and cleaned as needed (sweeping, cleaning, wipe-downs, garbage, etc).
• Ensures movement of trash, pallets, recyclables, etc. is performed in a timely fashion
• Assists with Material Handling tasks when needed
• Understands and adheres to Time & Attendance Policy, reporting to work punctually, minimal unplanned/unscheduled absences and early departures, and reporting for mandatory overtime as needed.
Qualifications
• High School diploma or Equivalent
• Proven experience in shipping & receiving.
• 2 years forklift driving experience
• 1–2 years of experience in shipping/receiving or warehouse operations preferred
• Must be prepared to work mandatory weekend overtime when required.
• In-depth knowledge of and experience in warehouse operations
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
• Familiarity with inventory software and shipping systems (UPS, FedEx, etc.)
• Forklift certification a plus
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficiency in warehouse software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
