New York Base Salary Range
The expected base salary for this role, if located in New York, is between $115,000 - $155,000 USD. The base salary range does not include Intercontinental Exchange's incentive compensation. Position Summary:
The Foundation seeks a Front-End Engineer who will work closely as part of a multidisciplinary team to imagine and implement digital projects that bring our mission to life in new ways and drive the continued digital evolution of the Foundation.
Reporting to the Director, Enterprise Architecture and Engineering, the Front-End Engineer is a core member of the digital team. What you'll do
- Architect sophisticated user interactions for desktop and mobile browsers using React and Relay, leveraging your deep understanding of core client-side technologies.
- Engage with our modern front-end stack, including Node.js, Express, TypeScript, GraphQL, Rspack, modern JavaScript, CSS Modules, and Git (with GitHub).
- Implement universal TypeScript modules designed to optimize performance through server-side rendering.
- Embrace the challenges and opportunities of responsive and adaptive design to create seamless user experiences across all devices.
- Contribute to significant architectural decisions within the front-end team.
- Ensure code quality through comprehensive unit and integration testing.
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers to translate designs into functional and engaging interfaces.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging front-end technologies, AI/ML integrations, and advocate for their adoption when beneficial.
- Optimize web performance, accessibility, and SEO through best practices and cutting-edge techniques.

- At least 3 years of experience in developing high-traffic websites or complex web applications.
