We are hiring for a QHSE Coordinator who will workin the OI Andor Health & Safety & Facilities Team reporting into the Group Health & Safety Manager. The QHSE Coordinatorensures compliance with quality, health, safety and environmental standards by:
- Developing and implementing QHSE management systems.
- Conducting risk assessments and promoting a culture of safety.
- Ensuring adherence to regulatory and industry best practices.
- Monitoring performance and facilitating audits.
- Delivering training to support continuous improvement.
- Safeguarding employee wellbeing and minimising environmental impact.
The QHSE Coordinator will have:
- 5 GCSEs including Maths and English (Grades A-C) or equivalent
- IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent Level 2 qualification in OH&S.
- 2 years' relevant experience in a similar role.
- Good working knowledge of Health, Safety and Environmental legislation.
- Competent IT skills with full working knowledge of Microsoft packages.
- NEBOSH National General Certificate or equivalent Level 3 qualification in Occupational Health & Safety is desirable
This position is based on site at our Belfast headquarters ; the secondment will last until 31st March 2025 with possibility of extension.

Role Summary
Exists to ensure the smooth running of the operation, ensuring that all elements of the TOM and working effectively, and leading on addressing any crisis/key issues arising.

Accountabilities
Performance - assumes direct leadership responsibility for addressing immediate operational challenges and emerging priorities, to ensure Regional Directors are not distracted from running and growing the business.
Portfolio - acts as a "Minister without Portfolio" but is focussed on ensuring ways of working between Behaviour Change and Health Services, the CX Success Centre, shared operational services and central service teams are all working effectively and are fully integrated
Prioritisation - provides critical leadership to any crisis management or newly emerging priorities to create significant risk to regional performance, including key operational day to day issues requiring urgent attention (e.g. activation of BCP activity)
Has the capacity and capability to take on leadership of interim or transitionary activities, or provide cover for leaderships absences (e.g. vacancy durations, long-term sickness cover, etc)
Acts as the key digital driver in the BC&HS leadership team, challenging norms and existing practices with a view to modernisation
Reputation - ensures that key risks to Maximus integrity and service provider are effectively managed that when critical risks to delivery emerge, they are positively and professionally addressed to retain Maximus' reputation as a trusted delivery partner

Essential
• 5+ years operating in a senior leadership role with proven operational expertise in a contract service environment
• Degree level thing/capability - must be strong on analysis and detail conscious
• Highly adaptable and agile senior leader able to grasp operational challenges and lead/deliver change activity to either drive improvement or address crisis
• Proven leader who can "get things done" effectively and professionally by instilling confidence and respect with internal and external teams and stakeholders and build key relationships at speed
• Experience of leading operations across a range of contracted services and in different environments, including in-person multi-site operations as well as remote service delivery
• Digitally literate with an interest and knowledge of utilisation of emerging technologies

Role Specifics:
Through taking on the above role, the ISD will act as interim lead for the Health Operations business and the Partnerships team (including supply chain) until such time as key strategic decisions are made and growth enables future appointments of a 3rd Regional Director and Partnerships Director
Health contracts (12) are largely fixed fee contracts with some elements of PBR on 3 contracts - Annual combined turnover circa £6.5m
