What you'll do:

Be a part of our Order Fulfillment Team. Our Order Fulfillment Team is focused on delivering a quality product experience that customers continue to love. Work alongside our Quality Control, Engineering, Design, and Customer Happiness teams across the world.

Your role will consist of:

  • Fulfilling the day's orders (picking and packing)
  • Managing inventory and supplies
  • Working with our latest products and designs
  • Communicating with our Australian team to coordinate shipments
  • Planning and time management
  • Completing simple tasks, and errands when needed
  • Special projects to improve the warehouse
  • Developing leadership skills

This position includes written correspondence with customers. Therefore you must be able to communicate in English and perform all tasks independently and efficiently.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division)
  • Ability to lift up to 49lbs
  • Ability to work varying shifts (weekend shift is required)

You will make recommendations and improvements to department processes and procedures, participate in the hiring, training and coaching of associates and use operational reports to evaluate department performance and ensure expectations are met. You will collaborate with the Fulfillment Center Team Manager and the other management of the Fulfillment Center to operate within all guidelines and partner for success.

In your role as a leader, you will be essential to the success of Staples Supply Chain as we deliver to our customers.
**What you bring to the table:**
+ Ability to accurately calculate and plan and adjust headcount required to meet department's objectives.
+ Ability to foster communication and teamwork among staff and to collaborate with all members of your team, at all levels to ensure successful customer outcomes.
+ Understanding of and ability to use Fulfilment/Distribution technology (i.e. WMS where appropriate, hardware and software components).
+ Ability to adopt our safety procedures quickly and ensure safe work practices.
+ Ability to demonstrate analytical thinking and problem-solving.
+ Inclusive nature that seeks common ground, listens to others and advocates for the best solutions for the customer and for employees.
+ Commitment to lead by example and to a growth mindset as a leader, customer advocate and contributor.
+ Ability to be comfortable working in a warehouse environment with seasonal temperature variations.
+ Ability to open and close the building. May be a key holder.
+ Basic English language skills (both verbal and written).
**What's needed- Basic Qualifications**
+ High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
+ 1+ year of experience working in a warehouse environment
+ Ability to pass a drug screen to the extent legally permissible
+ Ability to lift, lower, push, pull or carry product up to a maximum of 70 pounds by hand
