We are currently looking for a **Human Resources Manager** at our Houston, TX fulfillment center! This position is responsible for overseeing and managing a Fulfillment Center Human Resources department. **What you'll do:**
+ Lead team responsible for performance management, employee engagement and talent development.
+ Assist management staff in resolution of issues and concerns.

**What you'll need:**
+ BA/BS required (Business Administration, Human Resources or related study preferred. Experience in a similar warehouse environment or a combination of education-training and experience will be considered.
+ 5 plus years in an HR partnership role ideally within a fulfillment or distribution center or busy work environment with proven track record of success.
+ 2-3 years' experience managing a HR Team.
+ Proven record of strategic partnerships which enhance the HR experience.
+ Excellent written, verbal, public presentation /communication skills and strong interpersonal skills required.
+ Able to work effectively with a variety of personnel.
+ Strong employee relations background

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Glass Handling Specialist is an essential job function to the success of Mygrant Glass. Glass Handling Specialists operate material handling equipment to select, stock, and organize product as well as hand-handle materials to stage at appropriate load sites. Glass Handling Specialists are responsible for timely and accurately selecting and stocking product to best achieve key performance indicators, directly impacting our customer service oriented goals.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Select incoming pick tickets according using RFID technology to accurately fulfill customer orders.
  • Prepares, packs, and scans (as appropriate), and stages products for transfer and customer pick-up and delivery in accordance with established standards.
  • Quickly and accurately receive, process and store incoming auto glass product shipments.
  • Ensures shipments are inspected and damages or shortages are documented and recorded. Initiates freight claim procedure when necessary.
  • Checks incoming delivery contents against packing list to verify accurate and full delivery.
  • Verifies vendor part number and MGC stock number for all incoming products.
  • Prepares receiving reports and notes any shortages, damages or overages. Promptly reports any discrepancies to supervisors.
  • Stores incoming products in proper location according to bin number or product sequence.
  • Determines proper bin number and/or location of incoming products.
  • Verifies actual counts of stock against CORE inventory. Investigates and reports discrepancies.
  • Operates hand trucks, pallet jacks, forklifts, order pickers, and OR other equipment safely and in accordance with organizational procedures.
  • Monitors equipment and promptly reports any safety or maintenance concerns to supervisors

  • Maintains required hazardous materials, forklift, and other internal and external certifications
  • Break down boxes, stock accessories and organize inventory as directed
  • Adhere to health & safety policies and quality standards.
  • Assist in maintaining appearance of branch as needed. Clean warehouse, counter area, etc.

OTHER DUTIES:

  • Aid in prepping, inspecting, labeling and loading safely maintain KPI objectives and limit breakage.
  • Loads delivery vehicles and assists customers with will call pickups.
  • Drive company vehicles for customer deliveries, transfers or assigned maintenance
  • Processes customer returns. Ensures returns are in sellable condition per company policy.
  • Verifies that warranty paperwork has been properly and neatly filled out. Initiates warranty return process, and stages product in warranty area.
  • Processes documentation necessary to ship transfers and customer orders, including bills of lading, packing lists, small parcel manifests and other necessary documents.
  • Performs cycle counting on assigned items in order to keep accurate records of inventory.
  • Perform other job tasks as assigned.

BASE PAY :

  • Stock the parts store with an appropriate amount of merchandise.
  • Work with Tool Room staff to deliver parts, supplies, equipment, and other HVAC related products to customer locations or job sites.
  • File M/S's, freight bills of lading, equipment packing slips for inventory reconciliation and audit purposes.
  • Initiate the filing of freight claims for damaged goods with Trane or other vendors.
  • Manage receipt, inspecting, document, tag and maintain stocking products.
  • Additional tasks may be assigned as needed.

Skills Required:

  • Maintain a valid driver's license at all times.
  • Successfully complete a Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) check.
  • Exhibit strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively support inside sales teams and interact with customers.
  • Operate a forklift to load and unload equipment onto pallets or in boxes, as required.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office applications.
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Willingness to work overtime or weekends when needed.

Education and/or Experience Required:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Associate's degree preferred.
  • 2 - 5 years of proven warehouse experience
  • Forklift certified preferred.
