The Boeing Company is currently seeking a **Satellite Data Systems Full-Stack Software Engineers (** **Experienced/** **Senior)** to support our Space Software Products team located in **El Segundo, CA** . This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense Services (BDS) business organization.

The selected candidates will work on Satellite Data Systems software for large-scale satellite programs, to include the Evolved Strategic SATCOM (ESS) program. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of client-side, server-side, and desktop programming, with experience in front-end and back-end technologies. You will be responsible for building and maintaining the client-side and server-side logic, ensuring optimal performance and scalability. You will also be responsible for coordinating with multi-functional engineers to assemble data that's vital for spacecraft communication.
This position requires proven experience within the software development lifecycle, project execution/leadership, and critical thinking/problem-solving skills to engineer new solutions and capabilities.
**Position Responsibilities:**
+ Develop and maintain robust client-side, server-side, desktop applications, and services that power mission-critical satellite systems
+ Design and implement application programming interfaces (APIs) and web services to enable seamless data exchange across platforms
+ Collaborate with cross-functional engineers to integrate diverse capabilities
+ Optimize applications for scalability, performance, and reliability in complex environments
+ Troubleshoot, modify, and upgrade complex applications to maintain functionality and performance
+ Write clean, maintainable, efficient code, accompanied by thorough test cases, adhering to industry best practices
+ Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members
+ Document complex system designs and application workflows clearly and comprehensively

**Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):**
+ Ability to obtain a TS/SCI US Security Clearance (Post-Start)
+ 3+ years of experience leading projects and/or individuals in software development lifecycle tasks
+ Experience working in Continuous Integration and Continuous Development (CI/CD) using appropriate code versioning, build and test automation tools
+ Experience / proficiency with Java

**The Role**
We're seeking a passionate and experienced Senior Development Engineer to lead the design and development of cutting-edge user interfaces that power our next-generation applications. You'll play a key role in shaping the user experience, driving technical excellence, and mentoring a team of talented engineers.
You will be responsible for helping lead our engineering efforts through planning, design, architecture, execution, training. As a technical leader on the team, you will be able to help mentor less experienced engineers, build strong relationships with technical leaders on other teams, and facilitate a strong team culture, applying best practices throughout the software development life cycle.

+ 2+ years of experience contributing to the architecture, documentation, and design of new and existing systems (architecture, design patterns, reliability, and scaling)
+ Must be able to do client-side performance analysis, write unit tests, and be knowledgeable about accessibility
+ Experience working with multi-tier production software systems utilizing HTTP, APIs (REST, GraphQL) and Content Management Systems

Brunswick's BI-DesignLab (BIDL), a member of the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign Research Park is seeking a Front-end Development intern. 
BIDL is one of Brunswick's advanced engineering centers. The Lab engages in POC style projects to envision the application of new and developing technologies to the recreational marine market. The Lab has been heavily involved in Brunswick's autonomy, connectivity, and electrification (ACE) efforts, and is currently leading the charge in developing AI products. 
 The Front-End Development Intern will be involved in developing UI for web and mobile applications developed by Brunswick for various projects. Front-End team is also responsible for CGI development at the Lab with Unreal Engine and may be expected to learn and work with UIs/HMIs in Unreal.

**Essential Functions** **:**
Due to the nature of the Lab, it is difficult to capture all the responsibilities and projects accurately. The following list is not exhaustive but alludes to the kinds of workflow that will be expected.
