Come to work in a beautiful office everyday. The Endodontic Chairside and Office Assistant will play a crucial roll in all patient care and administrative work at Hometown Endodontics. The assistant must have a warm personality and have the ability to help make patients feel comfortable, at home, and put them at ease. Experience in dental assisting is preferred but not required. The chairside and office assistant will have the following responsibilities: - Assist doctor in all procedures including but not limited to: Endodontics Surgical Procedures Restorative - Greeting and seating patients - Setting up room for procedures - Set up instrument trays - Expose radiographs (x-rays) - Operatory clean-up and disinfection - Lab clean-up and disinfection - Instrument cleaning and sterilization - Assist with documentation in patient charts - Charting exam findings - Mix cements, restorative and materials - Topical anesthetic placement - Rubber dam application - Remove periodontal and surgical dressings - Treatment plan presentation - Inventory control of supplies - Learn tooth numbering and anatomy - Assist with maintenance of the MSDS and OSHA manuals - Establish rapport with patients and validate treatment recommendations made by the doctor. - Answer phone and schedule patients - Look up insurance benefits and verify coverages - Enter EOB's and Bill/Refund patients - Corresponds with referring doctor offices - Be a team player and help out where needed Employment Type: Part Time Salary: $15 - $20 Hourly Bonus/Commission: No
