It is a non-partisan think tank providing expert policy analysis, educational and professional development services, and a hub for engaging with the region's arts and culture.
Position SummaryMEI is searching for an Associate Director, Corporate and Foundation Relations, with 2-5 years of experience to provide high-level administrative support to scholars and senior staff as we expand and diversify our portfolio of corporate members and grant awards.
The associate director will report directly to the Chief Development Officer, and work closely with our policy experts and executive leadership to identify, solicit, onboard, and steward a diverse range of new and existing corporate members. They will also be responsible for identifying and soliciting philanthropic foundations to support new and existing projects in MEI's Policy Center, Arts and Culture Center, and Education Center. This includes conducting prospect research, writing proposals, drafting budgets, coordinating with relevant internal stakeholders, and managing lines of communication with counterparts within relevant foundations. The associate director will also work closely with the Chief Development Officer and other development staff to achieve annual revenue goals, improve professional systems, liaise with senior staff, and communicate effectively with the Board of Governors.
This individual must have proven fundraising experience and demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively with counterparts in major corporations and foundations. They must also have a strong understanding of non-profit management, and demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals at the executive and board of governors level. The successful candidate will have strong organizational and writing skills, and ideally will have experience working with non-profit management teams to develop medium-to-long-term fundraising proposals.
Competitive candidates should also have a strong understanding of International Relations, ideally with some knowledge of the Middle East and regional languages so that they can productively engage with MEI scholars and their work, as well as corporate/foundation counterparts from the region.
Responsibilities- Working closely with scholars and senior management to understand MEI's financial needs and how best to match them with relevant and interested funding bodies.
- Stewarding current corporate members and working with senior management to renew annual memberships.
- Identifying, soliciting, and onboarding a diverse range of new corporate members from the United States, Europe, the Middle East, and elsewhere.
- Developing, refining, and sustaining MEI's corporate membership scheme on a regular basis so that it best fits the needs of the institute and its members.
- Expanding MEI's network of relationships with charitable foundations interested in funding current and new projects at MEI.
- Drafting, reviewing, and submitting budgets and grant proposals to foundations for new and current projects at MEI.
- Coordinating with scholars and foundation counterparts to ensure that grant deadlines and submissions are met on schedule.
- Collaborating with the development team to refine internal systems, expand MEI's fundraising operation, and successfully complete other development projects as needed.

Position Summary
The Fundraising and Events Officer plays a pivotal role in executing CRCCs fundraising strategy by focusing on donor engagement, stewardship, and event management. Reporting to the Associate Director of Fundraising, this position directly supports the organizations revenue generation goals through effective coordination of donor communications, facilitation of fieldwork fundraising initiatives, and oversight of event planning and execution. As an integral member of the Fundraising Team, the Fundraising and Events Officer contributes to the development and management of a comprehensive annual fundraising and events strategy. This includes a specific focus on cultivating individual donors, corporate partners, and prospective supporters. By collaborating with team members, the Fundraising and Events Officer aims to enhance unrestricted revenue streams to achieve organizational objectives and further CRCCs mission.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Portfolio Management, Donor relations, and Prospect Development:
- Assist in cultivating relationships with donors, sponsors, vendors and community partners.
- Strengthen commitment of current donors and prospective donors through the development of customized stewardship plans.
- Offer and implement creative and new ideas for connecting with donors
- Manage a portfolio of current donors, focusing on those with the potential to increase their giving to the Major Gifts level.
- Work collaboratively with the Assoc. Dir. of Fundraising to build and maintain pipeline of donors focusing on $1,000 and above contributors.
- Lead and manage CRCCs Major Giving Programs including cultivating relationships through meetings, calls and interactions to deepen connections between donor interests and CRCCs mission.
- Conduct research on prospective donors and identify opportunities that align with CRCCs mission
- Suggest and implement innovative strategies to increase awareness among donors and
- prospects.
- Manage donor communications, including solicitations, stewardship mailings, acknowledgement letters and other projects.
- Utilize the CRM system (Little Green Light) to execute and track a comprehensive moves management strategy.
- Operationalize annual fund strategies.
- Support fieldwork fundraising efforts, including outreach to potential donors and sponsorship solicitation.
- Collaborate with the Associate Director to identify opportunities for donor engagement and retention.
- Collaborate with the Associate Director to identify, create, and implement new strategies to grow annual fund revenue
- Help establish performance measures, monitor results and evaluate efficacy of the annual fund program
- Keep abreast of developments in philanthropy and fund development
- Plan, coordinate, and execute fundraising events, including logistics, budgeting, and vendor management.
- Strategize and implement additional event recommendations to reach new audiences
- Develop event collateral, in conjunction with leadership
- Serve as a liaison to external vendors
- Ensure adherence to budgets and timelines, including benchmarks and reporting
- Work collaboratively with the fundraising team to create compelling event invitations, promotional materials, and donor communication.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to enhance visibility and attendance for fundraising events
- Serve as a primary administrator of the CRM system (Little Green Light) responsible for management and maintenance of the database integrity of data and donor records.
- Ensure timely gift entry/acknowledgement process and accuracy of constituent records; manage ticketing, seating and event sponsorship invoices and thank you letters

Twin Cities PBS (“TPT”) is one of the preeminent PBS affiliate stations in the country. TPT harnesses the power of storytelling across multimedia platforms to entertain, educate and empower audiences to think critically and to engage with the communities around them. We are currently seeking a part-time Fundraising Specialist to help market, develop, and strengthen Twin Cities PBS’s community support. Our Fundraising Specialists support telemarketing fundraising efforts that produce maximum revenue and provide excellent customer service to ensure member loyalty. This role builds connection with TPT members during special events and through day-to-day contact supporting membership needs.
Weekly Hours and Schedule: 20 hours per week. Monday - Thursday 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Friday 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Rate of Pay : $15.97 per hour (plus performance bonus)
Benefits: This position is eligible for PTO, company paid holidays, life and disability insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, and retirement savings with employer 401(k) contributions.
Candidates must live in or be willing to relocate to the Twin Cities Metro area and report to onsite office in downtown St. Paul.
MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
Market, develop, and strengthen TPT's community support from individuals through telemarketing fundraising efforts that produce maximum revenue and provide excellent customer service to ensure loyalty.
- Contact existing, potential and lapsed supporters via telephone to inform them of current campaigns and solicit appropriate assistance in accordance with the TPT brief and script structure, while manages call time for maximum revenue benefit for Twin Cities PBS.
- Meet & exceed fundraising targets set by the team leader and the manager, while ensuring calls are of the highest quality.
- Contribute to corporate productivity regularly by increasing expertise and efficiency.
- Attend campaign briefings and adhere to the objectives of campaigns within the phone call to our donors.
- Input bank details, supporter information and data capture whilst ensuring close attention to detail and accurate recording in TelAthena software.
- Fulfill agreed upon work schedule consistently.
- Continually enhances sales skills through ongoing activities coaching, self-evaluation and seeking training and development resources available.
- Recognize and responds effectively to unexpected situations in a professional and courteous manner.
- Review all sources of information to quickly provide accurate information to the member or potential member.
- Present a highly professional image of Twin Cities PBS to all stakeholders, through verbal, personal and written interactions.
- Represent, enhance and promote the TPT brand in a positive, professional and effective manner.
- Support viewer and member questions and concerns in a timely, professional and courteous manner.
- Continually improve the telemarketing program being aware of emerging trends and ensuring adherence to best practices.
- Ensure that all data is handled with sensitivity and in accordance with Data Protection legislation and financial good practice.
- Complete other tasks as assigned.
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years' experience of using the telephone in either telemarketing or to promote business or work, or canvassing experience.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and computer skills using Microsoft Office Suite with a confident telephone manner with a strong attention to detail.
- Must be comfortable interacting with external members and high-profile donors presenting and persuading individuals of the power of public media.
- Ability to work unsociable hours as a key requirement of the job and comfortable relating to an audience of diverse people and personalities.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced, time sensitive production environment.
