The General Assembly Launch Execution Lead - Manufacturing Engineering will be responsible for leading the execution of manufacturing engineering projects focused on General Assembly systems and processes. You will serve as the primary General Assembly Manufacturing Engineering representative during equipment installation, commissioning, and launch activities at plant sites. **What You Will Do**
+ Lead cross-functional project teams through indirect influence, guiding engineers, suppliers, and plant personnel during the design, build, and launch phases of General Assembly systems.
+ Develop and manage project plans, budgets, and timelines for General Assembly tooling and equipment.
+ Serve as the on-site technical lead during installation and startup, ensuring flawless execution and alignment with manufacturing standards.

+ Experience with project management methodologies such as Agile, Six Sigma, or similar.

International Manufacturing Engineering has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Manufacturing Engineer - General Assembly at our San Antonio Assembly Plant.This position will report to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager and be the lead in developing and updating General Assembly production processes through the analysis of data. In this position, you will work directly with R&D, Quality, and production on improving product and process design concepts and ensure the systems are building the trucks to the correct specifications. The position will also be responsible to work directly with the AME team to ensure any installation and commissioning of new equipment is on time, within budget and meets the metrics defined during new program launches.San Antonio Manufacturing runs a 4x10 production schedule (Mon-Thurs, 5:30AM - 4:00PM).This role will support production and may need to cover production recovery times including Fridays and weekends as needed.

+ Sustain and improve assembly process through the analysis of data
+ Provide feedback to R&D on DFA requirements and design concept improvements
+ Project lead for upcoming general assembly process and tooling related projects

Position Summary:
The Key Account Manager will be responsible for calling on key OEM accounts, identifying and developing market opportunities, establishing and managing relationships with OEM customers throughout the U.S. and Canada. This individual will be responsible for developing new business opportunities and providing technical expertise in AGVs and General Assembly solutions. Reporting to the Sales Director, this role is crucial in expanding our market presence and delivering best-in-class solutions to our clients.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Account Management & Business Development: Focus on AGV / General Assembly Systems
- Independently manage and grow an assigned customer portfolio, ensuring strong relationships and business expansion.
- Identify and pursue new sales opportunities with both existing and potential customers.
- Support key clients in the automotive and supplier industries, understanding their needs and offering tailored solutions.
- Lead business negotiations, from initial engagement to contract finalization, ensuring alignment with company processes and objectives.
- Collaborate with Dürr Group's global sales including CPM (Center of Competence for General Assembly Conveyors including AGV'S) teams to develop and implement a cohesive customer strategy.
- Maintain accurate sales forecasts and update account pipelines within the CRM system.
Technical Sales & Product Support:
- Act as the technical expert for AGV's and General Assembly systems, combining engineering knowledge with sales strategy.
- Provide pre-sales technical support, including product education, system demonstrations, and proposal development.
- Offer after-sales support, ensuring customer satisfaction and fostering long-term relationships.
- Develop and deliver technical presentations, demonstrating how company solutions align with customer needs in terms of quality, price, and performance.
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies to maintain a competitive edge.
Strategic & Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with internal departments-including R&D, Engineering, Purchasing, Production, and Quality-to ensure seamless project execution.
- Align sales strategies with senior management, applications engineering, and key account teams to maximize business impact.
- Represent Dürr Automotive at trade shows, conferences, and industry events, building brand visibility and generating leads.
- Train and support internal sales teams by creating sales materials, technical documents, and training programs.

Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in technical sales, key account management, or business development in the automotive industry.
- Experience with AGVs, General Assembly solutions, or plant engineering is highly desirable.
Technical & Sales Expertise:
- Deep understanding of automotive production systems and technical sales processes.
- Proven track record in developing and executing sales strategies that drive revenue growth.
- Experience in contract negotiations and proposal development.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and CRM tools.
Soft Skills & Additional Requirements:

**What You'll Do (Job Responsibilities)**
+ **Lead Automation Strategy:** Design and implement advanced automation solutions using robotics, vision systems, and custom tooling to solve non-standard, high-variability assembly challenges.
+ **Develop End-to-End Processes:** Engineer robust, repeatable processes for tasks such as robotic part picking, vehicle inspection, and precision part installation (e.g., doors off/on, IP load, seat load, fluid fill, body chassis marriage)

A Senior Execution Engineer is responsible for in plant Project Management of installation activities for industrial tooling, equipment, and conveyance systems in the General Assembly.
This engineer may be assigned to lead or support a vehicle program or project at one of GM's assembly sites in the United States or Canada. Aspects of the job include, oversight of Union trades workers adhering to a safety program, development of the statement of requirements, financial management, scheduling and timing of deliverables and onsite labor, and ensuring correct installation methods to documented standards. This engineer may participate in activities across all ME Centers (Body, Paint and General Assembly).
Creativity, innovation, and initiative are key characteristics of this position. Installation Suppliers will work directly for this engineer, and the engineer will be directly responsible for all aspects of their work. This engineer will have independent work tasks and lead or participate in vehicle launch teams.
**Required Specific Qualifications:**
+ Technical Degree in Construction Management or equivalent experience
