About the role

We are seeking a highly experienced and analytical Senior Accountant to manage the full cycle of Accounts Payable functions supporting government contract compliance and operations. This role focuses on AP job cost allocations, subcontractor invoice and corporate credit cards reconciliations, and processing a high volume of travel expenses. The ideal candidate brings a deep understanding of FAR/DFARS, Joint Federal Travel Regulations (JFTR), per diem policies, and sales & use tax accruals, ensuring financial accuracy and audit readiness across the organization.
At Applied Intuition, you will:
  • Oversee full-cycle Accounts Payable (AP) processing, including coding, approvals, and disbursements in accordance with FAR-compliant accounting practices.
  • Manage job cost coding and allocation to appropriate cost objectives, ensuring accuracy of direct and indirect charges and allowability determinations per FAR 31 and contractual terms.
  • Perform subcontractor invoice reviews and reconciliations, ensuring alignment with contract terms, funding, and cost allowability.
  • Process and audit employee travel expense reports, verifying compliance with company policy and JFTR/FTR regulations.
  • Maintain and apply accurate per diem rates based on GSA schedules and contract-specific requirements.
  • Calculate and record sales and use tax accruals for applicable purchases and ensure proper tax reporting and remittance.
  • Maintain fixed assets and depreciation schedules per asset class, prepare and book adjusting entries as required.
  • Collaborate with project managers, procurement, and contracts teams to validate costs and ensure timely invoice approvals and accruals.
  • Maintain detailed and audit-ready documentation supporting AP transactions and travel expense reimbursements.
  • Support month-end close activities including AP accruals, job cost reconciliations, and variance analysis.
  • Assist in preparing schedules for DCAA, DCMA, and independent audits as needed.
  • Prepare and file 1099MISC, 1099 NSC, 1098 fillings annually and assist with drafting responses to IRS inquiries.
  • Provide support for continuous improvement of AP and job cost processes, identifying areas for increased efficiency and internal control.
We're looking for someone who has:
  • 5+ years of accounting experience within a federal government contracting environment, with a strong focus on accounts payable and job costing.
  • Advanced understanding of FAR/DFARS cost principles, allowability and government accounting standards.
  • Proven experience processing and auditing travel expense reports in compliance with JFTR, FTR, and federal per diem rules.
  • Strong background in job cost allocation, cost segregation, and subcontractor invoice tracking.
  • Knowledge of sales and use tax accruals, thresholds, and multistate compliance.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems such as PROCAS, Deltek Costpoint, Unanet, or similar platforms.
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills: able to perform reconciliations and build cost reports.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail; able to prioritize and manage multiple deliverables.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
Nice to have:
  • Experience supporting DCAA or DCMA audits.
  • Familiarity with JFTR travel guidelines, ITAR, and other government regulatory frameworks.

Compensation at Applied Intuition for eligible roles includes base salary, equity, and benefits. Scope of Work:

The Accounts Payable (AP) Specialist is responsible for processing and managing all outgoing payments, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies, vendor agreements, and government contracting regulations. Preferred Qualifications A strong grasp of chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear, or missile programs. Defense certified analysts; preferably with military service analyst certifications. Amentum is seeking a **Defense Industry** **Analyst** to provide analytical services in support of Office of Naval Intelligence (ONI) efforts to protect U.S. naval and maritime technologies, support warfare integration efforts for existing Navy programs, and provide context for future capability development. The Analyst will support the production of Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) inputs, finished intelligence reports, integrated threat assessments of operational threat scenarios, concept of operations and employment of foreign military capabilities, direct analytic support to law enforcement, policy, and Navy acquisition community customers, and capability resource sponsors.
**Essential Duties:**

**Minimum Requirements** :
+ This position requires an active U.S. Government Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility (TS/SCI). Must be able to obtain a polygraph.
+ Bachelor's degree from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and at least 8 years of experience conducting analysis.
+ OR an additional 4 years of experience, for a total of 12 years of experience in the specific labor category, may be substituted for a bachelor's degree
+ Demonstrated ability to communicate understanding from information that may be incomplete, indirect, highly complex, seemingly unrelated, and / or technically advanced. Demonstrates ability to structure analysis based on trends in reporting and a range of analytic perspectives from other analysts, organization, and intelligence disciplines.
+ Demonstrated ability to collaborate and work with other IC members on information sharing, driving collection, and addressing analytic disputes and conflict resolution.
+ Demonstrated ability to develop concise, insightful, and comprehensive products for defense intelligence.
+ Demonstrated ability to lead teams in researching multifaceted or critical problems.

Overview

Wind River is seeking a strategic and industry-savvy and result-driven Marketing Manager to drive awareness and demand for our solutions across the global Aerospace, Defense, and Government (ADG) sectors. This role requires a deep understanding of the ADG landscapeincluding its technologies, buyer personas, and regulatory environmentand the ability to translate that knowledge into compelling messaging, content, and campaigns. The ideal candidate has a proven track record in marketing embedded and intelligent edge solutions to A&D and government buyers, with a focus on pipeline growth.

As a key member of the marketing team, youll collaborate with Sales, Product, and Partner teams to develop and execute targeted campaigns that resonate with technical and executive audiences. Youll craft thought leadership and content that positions Wind River as a trusted voice in the industry, while driving measurable impact on pipeline growth and market visibility.

What Youll Do

  • Serve as a subject matter expert on the ADG industry, staying current on market trends, regulatory developments, and customer needs.
  • Translate complex technology and regulatory topics into clear, compelling messaging tailored to the ADG audience.
  • Develop high-impact contentincluding blogs, whitepapers, sales collateral, and thought leadershipthat reflects our industry perspective and strengthens market positioning.
  • Define and execute integrated marketing campaigns across digital, email, social, paid media, and events to drive awareness and pipeline growth.
  • Collaborate with Sales to align marketing programs with strategic account priorities and accelerate deal velocity.
  • Partner with industry collaborators on co-marketing initiatives and joint events.
  • Monitor and analyze campaign performance, using insights to optimize future efforts.
  • Ensure brand consistency and compliance across all marketing touchpoints.
  • Manage marketing budgets and timelines effectively.

What Youll Bring

  • 7+ years of experience in marketing to A&D and Federal Government sectors, including ground, air, naval, space, and civilian agencies (Homeland Security, Veterans Affairs, Social Security Administration, Treasury, Health and Human Services, etc)
  • Demonstrated expertise in embedded and intelligent edge technologies, with a strong grasp of their strategic applications in the Aerospace, Defense, and Government (ADG) sectors.
  • In-depth knowledge of defense industry buyer personas, including prime integrators and emerging/non-traditional contractors.
  • Well-versed in the regulatory landscape governing the ADG industry, with the ability to interpret and translate complex requirements into compliant, market-relevant messaging.
  • Proven ability to develop high-impact contentsuch as blogs, whitepapers, and thought leadership piecesthat articulates our point of view and positions Wind River as an industry leader.
  • Skilled at crafting clear, compelling messaging tailored to both technical and executive audiences, grounded in industry insight and aligned with customer needs.
  • Proven success in demand generation and event marketing; ABM experience is a plus.
  • Strong project management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Familiarity with government procurement cycles and marketing alignment.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, matrixed environment with Sales and Partner teams.
  • Proficient in Salesforce, AI tools, and performance analytics platforms.

Compensation

The annual base salary range for this roles listed grade level is $120,000 to $80,000 plus a bonus for Colorado, New York, and New Jersey residents, and 150,000 to 200,000 plus a bonus for SF Bay Area, Greater Seattle, NYC, and Washington, DC, residents. Salary ranges are determined through interviews and a review of the education, experience, knowledge, skills, location, and abilities of the applicant, and equity with other team members. Employees in this role are also eligible for the following benefits in accordance with the terms of the Company's plans: health, dental, vision insurance, life insurance, flex time off, eligibility to enroll in 401k, and 12 paid holidays.
