CEC Controls Co. Inc. is looking for an Automotive Conveyor Controls Engineer that must be able to lead and perform the design of control systems, from start to finish, as well as the engineering and field start up for the “System Integration in the Electrical Controls” Industry for manufacturing. Experience in industries related to automotive automation and controls required. Demonstrated troubleshooting and electrical design skills are absolutely necessary. This position will focus mostly on hardware design but knowledge of software design is also preferred. This position can be a hybrid position.
Responsibilities
- Electrical – Experience with automotive electrical conveyor system design and calculations.
- Networking – Knowledge of ethernet networks required, Devicenet knowledge also preferred.
- Programming – General knowledge of conveyor programming tools and requirements
- Mechanical – Autocad electrical, FactoryCad, and Eplan experience preferred.
- Standards – Knowledge of General Motors standards and deliverables is preferred.
- Customer communication – Communicating with the customer and supporting engineering team.
- Industrial controls (PLC & HMI) – knowledge of industrial controls and automation is a requirement.
- Good communication in person and remotely through Microsoft Office365 tools.
Skills / Qualifications
- A minimum of two years' experience and knowledge in the automotive conveyor electrical design field is required. General Motors design experience is required.
- Associates degree or related field OR 2-5 years of automation experience – automotive plant experience is a plus
- Reviewing general project specifications and scope of work
- Assisting in installation and debug of conveyor systems
- Launch and standby support at the end user's facility
- Ability to work independently and in a team atmosphere
- Ability to self-manage working remotely as well as working in the Warren CEC office as required.
- Authorization to work lawfully in the US without sponsorship from CEC is required

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

- Experience in sales or account management roles within the automotive industry
- Minimum of 3 years in a sales management role, demonstrating effective leadership and development of direct reports
- Sales management experience at a systems level Tier 1 supplier
- Proven experience in selling products or services related to vehicle body electronics, powertrain, lighting, EV, infotainment systems, or networking solutions
- Strong background in automotive OEM account management, including strategy development and contract negotiations
- Proficient in using SAP/CRM systems
- Ability to travel locally to Warren, MI weekly and global travel up to 10% a year

Position SummaryWe are seeking a Quality Control Inspector with strong CMM programming skills to join our team. This role will be hands-on with both surface plate inspection and CMM inspection/programming , covering first-piece, in-process, and final inspections. The ideal candidate will be experienced, detail-oriented, and confident in both traditional metrology and modern CMM techniques.
ResponsibilitiesPerform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections of precision machined parts.
Create and run CMM programs (Zeiss) for prototype and production parts.
Use a variety of inspection tools including height master, shadow graph, micrometers, calipers, and surface plate setups .
Interpret and apply GD&T per engineering drawings.
Prepare and maintain documentation including FAI, PPAP, NCRs, and customer inspection reports .
Work closely with machinists and management to identify and resolve quality issues.
Maintain inspection equipment and contribute to continuous improvement of quality processes.
Experience with both surface plate inspection and CMM programming/operation (Zeiss preferred).
Strong working knowledge of GD&T (mandatory) .
Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings.
Familiarity with inspection reporting requirements (FAI, PPAP, NCRs ).
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Education: open to all backgrounds — experience will be valued over formal education .
Automotive or defense industry experience preferred.
Hourly pay: $25–$32 (based on experience).
Trial period with review after 3 months to adjust starting rate.

Job Summary:
The Quality Control Technician will directly support the Quality Control Lead at DreamFields Michigan, in Hazel Park, MI. This position inspects products and accurately tracks types and quantities of defects. This role is responsible for ensuring only products adhering to company specifications will proceed to distribution or the next stage of the manufacturing process.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Inspect or test products before, during, and/or after the manufacturing process to ensure incoming or outgoing products align with company and legal standards. This may include raw materials, work-in-process materials, finished goods, and/or finished packaged cases.
- Review and follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and specifications.
- Pass or reject products as necessary to ensure compliance with applicable cannabis regulations as well as DreamFields' internal specifications, policies, and procedures.
- Correctly categorize rejected products in accordance with the observed defect(s).
- Document inspection results by accurately counting and reporting quality-related data quarterly (every 2 hours). Real-time data entry is required during cannabis raw material QC inspections.
- Raise red flags and provide detailed notes as needed to internally communicate quality- or compliance-related issues clearly and effectively.
- Communicate to and collaborate with QC Supervisor, Production Lead, or other team members as needed to contribute to error reduction and process enhancements.
- Identify and communicate quality-related insights and opportunities for continuous improvement to QC Supervisor and Production Leads.
- Support identification of appropriate corrective actions.
- Properly use and maintain QC equipment and materials in accordance with approved methods and Good Manufacturing Practices. Maintain sanitary conditions at workstation(s).
- Be receptive to coaching or performance-related feedback from QC leadership.
- As needed, support with execution and documentation of product tests or experiments.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Must be at least 21 years of age and have reliable transportation.
- Meticulous attention to detail - must be able to closely inspect product to identify defects, count and report accurate numerical data, and review/verify product labeling with a high degree of accuracy.
- Strong verbal communication skills - must be able to professionally communicate and collaborate with others, effectively follow and provide instructions, and ask questions as necessary to fulfill roles and expectations.
- Problem-solving skills - skilled at making pertinent observations and recommending solutions to manufacturing defects in a fast-paced production environment.
- Ability to maintain a high level of cleanliness, organization, and sanitary work environment in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
- Must be quickly adaptable and open to change.
- Knowledge of and ability to uphold workplace health and safety standards.
- Knowledge of the environmental and other manufacturing conditions necessary to achieve safe and high-quality cannabis products - strongly preferred.
Education and Experience:
- HS Diploma or GED.
- Experience in a quality control or quality assurance role, preferably in cannabis or a similarly highly regulated industry.
- Experience with accurate and timely data reporting - strongly preferred.
