**Job Description**
AECOM is seeking a creative and motivated Architect to join our Boston, MA team. This role offers diverse architectural experiences across the United States and internationally, with a focus on national defense-related programs. Our Boston office serves as the hub for supporting the US Army Corps of Engineers, the Government Missile Defense Agency, and other high-profile clients.
In this position, you will contribute to shaping the world through innovative designs, ranging from radar and tactical support facilities to administrative, operational, and maintenance buildings, as well as large-scale campus projects. Collaborating with Program and Project Managers, you will ensure seamless project delivery while maintaining client satisfaction.
**Key Responsibilities:**

+ Past experience with DoD projects.

Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Project Architect to lead design development and construction documentation phases, ensuring compliance with building codes, ADA, zoning, and technical standards. As a Project Architect, you will coordinate with consultants on design integration, review shop drawings, RFIs, and submittals, and often serve as the Architect of Record. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in healthcare design and a strong grasp of project management.
Responsibilities
+ Provide limited, high-level production supervision for complex projects.
+ Assist Project Manager with multiple small to large-scale projects.
+ Coordinate all project efforts, both administrative and technical, to ensure efficient and cost-effective execution.
+ Serve as the primary client liaison, managing schedules, budgets, and scope of work.
+ Actively manage client budgets, schedules, programs, project communications, and documentation.
+ Estimate fees, determine scope of work, and prepare proposals.
+ Prepare and ensure accuracy of contract documents.
+ Incorporate applicable codes, construction techniques, and sequences in various projects.
+ Perform site observations, record and report existing conditions and construction progress.
+ Handle problems and questions during construction and maintain project cost control.

Essential Skills
+ 8+ years of experience as a Project Architect or Design Architect, specifically focused on Healthcare.
+ Bachelor's Degree in Architecture from an NAAB-accredited program.
+ Registered as a licensed architect.
+ Experience with Project Management Software such as Microsoft Project, Bluebeam, Revit, and PDF Revu.
+ Proficiency in Revit, CAD, and building systems.
+ Strong understanding of materials, specifications, and construction methods.
+ Excellent time management and organizational skills.
+ Clear verbal and written communication skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Master of Architecture.
+ Experience with additional project management software.
+ Relevant certifications such as LEED/Green Globes sustainability.
+ Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite.
+ Demonstrated cultural awareness and sensitivity.
