CEMML is a research, education and service unit within the Warner College of Natural Resources at Colorado State University ( CSU ). CEMML applies the latest and most appropriate science to promote the sustainable management of natural and cultural resources on Department of Defense (DoD) and other public lands. A GIS Specialist position is available with the Center for Environmental Management of Military Lands ( CEMML ). This position provides GIS and spatial services support to the US Army Garrison Hawaii ( USAG -HI) Directorate of Public Works ( DPW ) GIS database and Master Planning Division intranet site to include civil infrastructure and utilities. Responsibilities include updating and editing GIS data as needed, field data collection with GPS and map creation and printing. The employee will also be responsible for ensuring the GIS data meets all data standards outlined by the Army.
The position is located at Wheeler Army Airfield which is located on Schofield Barracks, Oahu, Hawaii.
Required Job Qualifications
+ BS or BA degree.
+ Experience in the management of geospatial data or similar relevant experience.
+ Experience with the ESRI suite of products or similar relevant experience.
+ The successful candidate must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. by proposed start date; CEMML will not provide visa sponsorship for this position.
+ Candidates are required at a minimum to complete a NACI /SF85 and successfully pass a federal background check to remain eligible for employment by CSU .
+ Must be able to comply with all applicable regulations to obtain a Department of Defense Common Access Card ( CAC ) and public trust clearance:
+ In order to be eligible for a CAC , a non-U.S. nationals must have resided in the U.S. or U.S. territory for three or more consecutive years for the required Tier 1 HSPD -12 CAC credentialing background investigation.

Preferred Job Qualifications
+ BS/BA degree in GIS or closely related field with GIS course work.
+ Demonstrated experience in the updating and creation of spatial data including digitizing, editing, attributing, creation of maps, spatial analysis and geo-processing functions using ESRI ArcGIS Pro.
+ Knowledge of Enterprise GIS systems and ESRI Online.
+ Experience working with vector-based data for civil infrastructure and asset management including utilities.
+ Experience automating processes using Python, Model Builder, FME or similar methods.
+ Experience with CADD and SDSFIE datasets
+ Experience using AutoCAD, MicroStation or other similar programs.
+ Experience working in highly structured organizations, such as governmental agencies, the military or corporations, with established lines of authority, procedures, and protocols.

**Job Description**
AECOM is actively seeking a talented, energetic technology-minded Geographic Information System (GIS) professional for immediate employment in the Marine Corps Base Hawaii (MCBH) Installation Geospatial Information & Services (IGI&S) office as a seconded employee. The GIS Specialist is a full-time AECOM employee that will report to the Associate Vice President & GIS Sr Manager in the Technology Services Group and will support our United States Marine Corps (USMC) client within the Environment Business line. This position will be part of a team of GIS Specialists supporting the MCBH IGI&S Program with GIS data management, geospatial analysis and modeling, cartographic product development, and technical support. A successful candidate will work both independently and in close coordination with the project team to develop, deploy and support GIS across the installation.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
+ Gather and review technical requirements to meet project goals
+ Design and implement quality assurance procedures to complete technical quality reviews of GIS data and applications
+ Follow project plans to successfully execute assigned work
+ Maintain quality assurance of spatial and non-spatial data and processes as per defined standards

**Department Introduction:**
The Stanford Land Use & Environmental Planning (LUEP) office staff have professional expertise in the areas of land use and community planning, environmental regulation and permitting, transportation planning, mapping and spatial analysis, conservation biology, archaeology and historic preservation. We work with partners in LBRE (and other university offices) to secure land use approvals from public agencies and to monitor compliance with permit requirements. LUEP is the lead LBRE office for the Santa Clara County General Use Permit (GUP).
**Position Overview:**
The GIS Specialist supports LUEP and LBRE projects by performing advanced GIS analyses, maintaining spatial databases, and developing web-based mapping solutions. This role emphasizes ArcGIS Online (AGOL) and coordination with GIS users in LBRE to ensure high-quality spatial data and application delivery.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Develop, maintain, and enhance GIS spatial databases, including versioned geodatabases, metadata, and spatial datasets from multiple sources (CAD, GPS, survey, tabular data).
+ Conduct spatial analyses, 3D modeling, and cartographic production to support LBRE, Land Use & Environmental Planning (LUEP), and Heritage Services (HS), and Conservation Biology projects.
+ Build, configure, and maintain ArcGIS Online (AGOL) web maps, applications, and dashboards; ensure accessibility and functionality for internal and external users.
+ Collaborate with GIS groups across departments to coordinate data updates, workflows, and application development.
+ Provide technical support for web mapping platforms, online GIS tools, and GIS software, including troubleshooting and user training.
+ Perform data conversion, editing, and quality control to maintain data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with metadata standards.
+ Support the production of presentation materials, reports, and visualizations using GIS outputs for internal and stakeholder communication.

+ Maintain and support GIS hardware, plotters, scanners, and other peripheral equipment as needed.
**Required Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor's degree required, Masters preferred, in Geography, GIS, Environmental Science, Civil Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.

**Job Description**
**AECOM's Technology Solutions Department in our Water Business Line is actively seeking a highly motivated, talented, and creative GIS Specialist** . In this role you will be part of a team that provides support through GIS data management, geospatial analysis and modeling, cartographic product development and other technical support. The successful candidate will work both independently and in close coordination with the project team to develop, deploy and support all GIS functions.
**The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:**
+ Works under general supervision.
+ Create and update report maps for ongoing projects.
+ Under supervision, may program for Geographic Information Systems (GIS) design, mapping and analysis.
+ Under supervision, contributes to the design of databases or development of geodatabases and systems, as well as compiles and analyzes GIS data.
+ May enter information or supervise technicians to assemble input and output.
+ Creates, analyzes, reports, converts or transfers data using GIS software.
+ Receives instruction on specific assignments, objectives, complex features and possible solutions.
**Qualifications**
**Minimum Requirements:**
+ Bachelor's degree in geography, or related field and 2+ years of relevant, progressive GIS experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ PreGISP (GISP-E) certification is a plus
+ Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to effectively and proactively communicate with the project team and diverse clients.
+ Willingness to learn from and share knowledge with others.
+ Understanding of relational databases and Geodatabase technology.
+ Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
+ Strong desire to work in a fast-paced team environment
+ Excellent time management skills
