VDOT's Central Office Maintenance Division requires advanced GIS support for one of their Programs.

The DC Office of the Chief Technology Officer's Enterprise Data division is looking for a GIS Technician to assist with the creation, update, and maintenance of foundational datasets within the DC GIS program. This includes Vector Property Map and Master Address Repository datasets. Vector Property Map (VPM) data which represents citywide property boundaries for numerous geographies in the District. Property is a critical data layer and is an important source of information for city planners, community development needs, infrastructure maintenance, land research, business development, public safety operations and more. The Master Address Repository (MAR) is the District's authoritative addressing dataset and includes DC addresses, intersections, block and significant place names. It enables all DC Government to verify addresses for business purposes and provides value-add information associated with addressable features and is used in critical enterprise applications and business processes across the city such as E911, business licenses, permitting, and voter rolls.

POSITION PROFILE

The GIS Analyst will support the City of Houston’s Enterprise Geographic Information System (EGIS) by performing advanced GIS development and technical support. The selected candidate will play a key role in supporting desktop and web-based GIS projects that align with the City’s enterprise goals and provide technical solutions to internal and external stakeholders.

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Produces maps, reports and analyses using GIS and various database software.

• Researches and evaluates source data using routine methods.

• Develops and implements data topology methods and procedures.

• Converts data from one software platform to another.

• Geocodes data files; enters, corrects and modifies data.

Specific Responsibilities:

• Design and produce high-quality maps, reports, and spatial analyses using ArcGIS Pro, ensuring consistency with established cartographic standards.

• Perform advanced GIS editing in a multi-user versioned environment with strong attention to detail.

• Create, maintain, and document GIS data layers in the enterprise database.

• Develop and maintain ArcGIS Online (AGO) web maps, dashboards, and apps using Web AppBuilder.

Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a GIS Analyst to join a local client. The GIS Analyst will be responsible for acting as a liason between the department and the IT department. They will update, research, and fix data within their systems. They will assist with building web maps and applications to be used across the client's systems.
