AWS' Data Center Supply Solutions (DCSS) Team works to deliver capacity supply solutions across multiple regions to meet the needs of customer demands. We are a team of highly motivated professionals who enable the capacity needed to support AWS customer growth and optimize the largest cloud services company on earth!
We are looking for an exceptional GIS Specialist to join a team building state-of-the-art land analytics software solutions that empower the DCSS real estate team to deliver capacity to meet global AWS customer needs. You will play a critical role in helping define the GIS product features, and be at the forefront of making direct and immediate business impacts.
Key job responsibilities
*Build GIS web applications and develop GIS-based analysis models and tools supporting data center development due diligence projects
*Design and implement geospatial database schemas and data processing pipelines *Work with external service providers to test prototypes, scale solutions to production, and implement data management and application integration to ensure platform compatibility and security
*Contribute to system architecture, design, implementation, and security reviews of GIS tools and integrations
*Partner with product and program managers to identify needs for new GIS tools and expand the location intelligence capabilities of the tooling platform

Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of technical product or program management experience
- 2+ years of software development experience
- 3+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $114,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $197,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
