The Center for Environmental Management of Military Lands ( CEMML ) is hiring GIS Specialists to join our Fort Collins, Colorado office. The GIS Specialists will be integral members of our interdisciplinary team of environmental and cultural resource specialists. Our purpose is to support federal land managers in ensuring that military activities are conducted in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and policies.
The GIS Specialists will expand our team's current GIS capabilities by working with staff to manage geospatial products for a variety of natural and cultural resource projects. Responsibilities will include:
+ Feature class development
+ Completing metadata
+ Managing data in ArcGIS Online
+ Developing Survey123 and ArcGIS Field Maps data forms
+ Post-processing field-data
+ Geospatial analysis
+ Cartography
+ Coordinating with team members and project stakeholders
The GIS Specialist may also be expected to:
+ Create and maintain ArcGIS Experience Builder apps
+ Use ArcGIS Hub Premium to administer data

The opportunity to participate in fieldwork and other tasks may arise. Both independent and collaborative group work will be required.
Ideal employees are motivated self-starters with a strong work ethic and who are dedicated to producing exceptional deliverables. A background in cultural or natural resource management and demonstrated experience utilizing GIS to effectively manage field survey data is required. At least three years professional experience with ArcGIS 10.X, ArcPro, Survey123, Field Maps ArcGIS Online, and geodatabases required.
Experience working on military lands, knowledge of natural and cultural resource regulatory policy, and experience with Department of Defense GIS data models and standards (e.g. Air Force Spatial Data Standards for Facilities, Infrastructure, and Environment ( SDSFIE ); Federal Geographic Data Committee's ( FGDC ) Content Standard for Digital Spatial Metadata ( CSDGM )) are desired
The position will be located at Colorado State University's main campus in Fort Collins, Colorado. Work will be primarily office-based; however, telework may be possible. This will be a permanent, full-time (40 hours/week) position, depending on continued funding.

WSP is seeking a **Geographic Information Systems** candidate with at least 1-3 years of experience to support our **Southwest Mountain Civil Ground Engineering Team** .
This position provides technical assistance and guidance for capturing, modeling, and analyzing geographical and tabular data to illustrate and determine spatial relationships as it pertains to client projects. Provides support and guidance for multi-site/phase projects by assisting with and overseeing spatial mapping, discovering patterns and trends, and developing mapping applications and tools at the intersection of data analysis, programming, and cartography. Substantiates documentation to advise on project areas by applying and integrating GIS data and perspective to solve environmental challenges across a variety of science and planning disciplines. Assists project leadership with environmental impact assessment, master planning, corrective/mitigation strategy development, permitting, and/or restoration activities. Ensures that responsibilities are delivered and adhered to with a level of quality that meets or exceeds acceptable industry standards.
**Your Impact**
+ Lead and conduct GIS surveys and reports from field sites for project research and investigation.
+ Support quality control standards and procedures for accurate and precise measurements, documentation, and high-level analysis of incoming and existent data.
+ Model and prepare topographic maps, thematic maps, graphs, and tabular data using GPS, aerial photographs, and other tools and data to determine exact locations of project areas, site impact, and associated physical and geographic sensitivities.
+ Verify integrity, accuracy, and authenticity of geospatial data collected directly from the field, received from clients, and/or retrieved from public data sites. Prepare and assist with completing GIS segments pertaining to impact assessment and/or permitting activities for assigned projects (e.g. CEQA, NEPA, etc.).
+ Prepare data and visualizations such as maps, tables, charts, accurate reports, and illustrations for the interpretation or presentation of data, findings, or analyses.
+ Oversee compliance with guidelines and project-specific procedures which include but are not limited to, the maintenance of any data collection, database, documentation, logbooks, and the management of a digital library of geographic maps in various file types.
+ Provide informed input to planners, scientists, and engineers in the analysis, evaluation, and interpretation of spatial and geographic data obtained during field investigations, offering insight with moderate to high-level threat mitigation, master planning, and permitting activities.
+ Assist with overseeing and working with cross-functional teams in executing project work and coordinating with CADD and other technicians on project documents.
+ Maintain or modify existing Geographic Information Systems (GIS) databases and proficiency with geodatabase design.

+ Bachelor's Degree in GIS, Geography, Environmental Science, Planning, or a related field.

A GIS Specialist position is available with the Center for Environmental Management of Military Lands ( CEMML ). This position provides GIS and spatial services support to the US Army Garrison Hawaii ( USAG -HI) Directorate of Public Works ( DPW ) GIS database and Master Planning Division intranet site to include civil infrastructure and utilities. Responsibilities include updating and editing GIS data as needed, field data collection with GPS and map creation and printing. The employee will also be responsible for ensuring the GIS data meets all data standards outlined by the Army.
The position is located at Wheeler Army Airfield which is located on Schofield Barracks, Oahu, Hawaii.

We work with partners in LBRE (and other university offices) to secure land use approvals from public agencies and to monitor compliance with permit requirements. LUEP is the lead LBRE office for the Santa Clara County General Use Permit (GUP).
**Position Overview:**
The GIS Specialist supports LUEP and LBRE projects by performing advanced GIS analyses, maintaining spatial databases, and developing web-based mapping solutions. This role emphasizes ArcGIS Online (AGOL) and coordination with GIS users in LBRE to ensure high-quality spatial data and application delivery.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Develop, maintain, and enhance GIS spatial databases, including versioned geodatabases, metadata, and spatial datasets from multiple sources (CAD, GPS, survey, tabular data).
+ Conduct spatial analyses, 3D modeling, and cartographic production to support LBRE, Land Use & Environmental Planning (LUEP), and Heritage Services (HS), and Conservation Biology projects.
+ Build, configure, and maintain ArcGIS Online (AGOL) web maps, applications, and dashboards; ensure accessibility and functionality for internal and external users.
+ Collaborate with GIS groups across departments to coordinate data updates, workflows, and application development.
+ Provide technical support for web mapping platforms, online GIS tools, and GIS software, including troubleshooting and user training.
+ Perform data conversion, editing, and quality control to maintain data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with metadata standards.

**Required Qualifications:**

The GIS Specialist position is a full-time AECOM employee that will report to the Associate Vice President & GIS Sr Manager in the Technology Services Group and will support our United States Marine Corps (USMC) client within the Environment Business line. This position will be part of a team of GIS Specialists supporting the Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton IGI&S Program with GIS data management, geospatial analysis and modeling, cartographic product development, and technical support. A successful candidate will work both independently and in close coordination with the project team to develop, deploy and support GIS across the installation.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
+ Gather and review technical requirements to meet project goals
+ Design and implement quality assurance procedures to complete technical quality reviews of GIS data and applications
+ Follow project plans to successfully execute assigned work
+ Maintain quality assurance of spatial and non-spatial data and processes as per defined standards
+ Maintain strong knowledge in existing and emerging GIS related software and technologies
+ Create and maintain GIS data in an ArcGIS Enterprise environment
+ Develop content within an enterprise ArcGIS Portal environment
+ Exhibit a solid understanding of geospatial data formats, coordinate systems, and GIS principles
+ Apply attention to detail with proactive and resourceful problem-solving skills
+ Communicate and collaborate with the project manager and project team lead to understand and document system/solution requirements
+ Organize, document, and communicate status updates to program leaders and relevant project teams
+ Develop visualizations and reports using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, ArcGIS Pro, or Portal for ArcGIS to effectively communicate findings to technical and nontechnical stakeholders
+ Prepare meeting materials, web maps, or figures for a variety of communities, stakeholders, and projects
+ Create, edit, or delete GIS features/attribute information within an enterprise geodatabase
+ Prepare digital maps
+ Possess excellent critical thinking, decision-making, conflict resolution, and analytical skills
**Qualifications**
**Minimum Qualifications**
+ BA/BS + 4 YORE or demonstrated equivalency of experience/education
+ Bachelor's Degree in CAD, BIM, GIS, Computer Science, Geography, Environmental Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field +2 years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and / or education.
+ Valid Driver's License and as a condition of employment must be able to pass AECOM's Motor Vehicle Records review.
+ Due to the nature of work, U.S. citizenship is required
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Proficiency with applications such as:
+ ArcGIS Enterprise, Pro, and Desktop Software
+ Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D/AutoCAD Map
+ Experience producing cartographic products
+ Experience with planning and development
+ Experience with GPS data collection processes and the ability to lead teams in the field
+ Comfortable working outside and/or traveling occasionally to support field activities
+ Comfortable working in a fast-paced multi-tasking environment
+ Maintain knowledge in existing and emerging geospatial software and technologies
+ GIS data management, technical writing, and geodatabase design experience
+ General understanding of relational database organization, design, and functionality
+ Ability to learn and present best practices for data management including workflows, tools, governance models, and integration patterns
+ Demonstrated knowledge of cartographic design and production concepts and principles
+ Demonstrated experience with the Spatial Data Standards for Facilities, Infrastructure, and Environment (SDSFIE)
