The Business Analyst serves as a critical partner to the Sr. Director of Analysis and Reporting and to the Global Development Team. The Temp, Global Development Quality Management (GCP) acting as a Quality Management Lead (QML) is a key position that will provide guidance and leadership for all aspects of quality and compliance within Global Development Quality (GDQ) systems. The GDQM (GCP) QML will engage with key stakeholders, build strategic partnerships working and liaising with study teams, relevant functions and other GDQ functions to lead risk-based quality management activities on all Regeneron-sponsored clinical trials, inclusive of issue management and providing continuous support of inspection readiness.
In this role, a typical day might include the following:
- Acting as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and key liaison to GDQ to provide support and advise on any quality issues to ensure compliance and for the Quality Risk Assessment process.
- Ensuring and responsible for Risk-Based Quality Management (RBQM) initiatives and process improvements, in partnership with other functional areas.
- Responsible for the management of GCP-compliant activities from a quality perspective in conjunction with the business and the GDQM (GCP) team.
- Providing day-to-day quality and compliance support to cross-functional stakeholders, including issue management (triage/investigation/actions), audit responses, proactive quality management, Corrective Action/Preventive Action (CAPA) oversight, audit/issue trending.
- Leading Quality Risk Management activities on all Regeneron-sponsored clinical trials within assigned studies.
- Leading Quality Risk Assessment and Control Tracker (QRACT) activities at the time of Protocol development predicated on ICH E6 R2.
This role may be for you if have experience:
- Advanced knowledge, understanding and application of GCP guidelines including the management of significant/complex quality issues and compliance activities.
- Advanced knowledge, understanding and application of proactive quality management, risk assessment/management, in addition to providing GCP consultancy and support to internal and external stakeholders.
- Advanced knowledge and application of risk-based approaches to quality management and oversight, building fit-for-purpose quality processes in partnership with cross-functional teams and leaders.
- Experience with participating in, and managing Regulatory Agency Inspections, in addition to serving as a Subject Matter Expert.
To be considered for this opportunity, you are expected to have:
- Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 8 years of relevant healthcare/pharmaceutical industry experience.
- Experience working in either a quality/compliance role (e.g., Quality Management, Quality Assurance etc.), or in a Clinical Development role with expertise and/or transferable skills related to Good Clinical Practice (GCP), and/or Good Pharmacovigilance Practice (GVP).

This position is on-site 4 days per week and 1 day from home in Tarrytown, NY, Warren, NJ or Armonk, NY. A fully remote role is not possible for this position.
This role will be responsible for designing and implementing Regeneron Global Development's (GD) artificial intelligence (AI) program -- a key component of GD's digital transformation strategy. Implementing concrete initiatives, from more intelligent protocol design to automated document generation and analysis, the Exec Dir will make the best use of our resources to improve cycle times and deliver medicines to patients faster. The position will be responsible for both strategy and technical development; therefore, a significant amount of technical work will be involved in making it successful.
In a typical day, you will:
+ Lead AI/Machine Learning Strategy and Implementation. Define and execute Global Development's AI/ML strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals, overall company strategy, and R&D priorities. This involves identifying opportunities for AI adoption and related automation, creating roadmaps, and overseeing the development and deployment of AI solutions.
+ Co-lead GD's digital transformation strategy
+ Partner with Clinical Development Unit leaders to help implement AI and automation
+ Partner with leaders across Global Development and senior leaders across Regeneron to develop and execute on use cases involving AI and advanced analytics
+ Develop advanced analytic platforms incorporating AI, ML, and/or advanced visualization techniques
+ Lead a team of scientists and developers in developing and implementing specific AI-based tools and processes
+ Drive data and platform strategy across Global Development by providing critical feedback on robust data organization, governance, and accessibility frameworks that support high-quality, analysis-ready data. Integrate this strategy with those across other business units (e.g. Commercial, Research, etc.)
+ As necessary, lead initiatives to build the required infrastructure (software and hardware) to support AI and advanced analytics, including vendor evaluation, in partnership with IT
+ Proactively develop new techniques and algorithms to address high-impact areas and that may lead to academic publications
+ Design and execute AI verification frameworks to assess assumptions and limitations; ensure transparency, reproducibility, and regulatory readiness; maintain the ethical and responsible use of AI; and ensure alignment with scientific and operational decision-makers
+ Represent Global Development while working with other business units and IT to coordinate an enterprise AI strategy, including potential enterprise-wide platforms, adding or reconfiguring necessary roles, etc.
+ Co-lead enterprise AI governance initiatives, working with enterprise IT, privacy, compliance, and other key stakeholders
+ Mentor GD colleagues to refine their AI and analytic skills including promoting continuous learning and fostering skills to prepare colleagues to work with and leverage the potential of AI
To be considered you must possess:
A PhD and 12+ years of experience preferred, OR M.S or MBA : 15+ years of experience can be considered, or Bachelor's degree and 17+ years of experience.
+ An advanced degree in computer science, medicine, biomedical informatics, or a related field
+ At least 7 years experience developing and leading the implementation of AI-related tools and strategy, including accountability for the success of the implementation, in life sciences or healthcare.
+ Familiarity with Python, R, or another programming language
+ Proven track-record of building, scaling, and maintaining computational, AI-based solutions, ideally on cloud-based platforms such as AWS
+ As part of a senior leadership team, experience implementing an evaluating enterprise-wide AI or automation projects with demonstrated outcomes
+ Experience with critical evaluation of model performance and generalizability
+ Demonstrated experience working with large-scale, complex datasets, particularly in the regulated healthcare or clinical trial setting; understanding of clinical data standards is preferred Experience implementing production-level LLMs in a clinical or life sciences setting is a preferred
+ Experience presenting to and educating senior leadership around foundational technology investments and applied technology go/no-go decisions, especially with non-technical audiences
+ Proven ability to work in a matrixed organization, developing and leading complex projects with multiple stakeholders while developing a network of subject matter experts
+ A track record of peer-reviewed or validated accomplishments, e.g. scholarly publications or published tools and code
+ May require travel up to 20%
