Our Global Engineering Services (GES) executes a wide variety of capital and expense projects to ensure that our company has the capabilities and facilities to meet our goal to provide World Class Supply of Medicines and support our "Inventing for Life" Objective. The Global Engineering Services (GES) group is seeking an Associate Director of Engineering to manage large capital projects independently or a series of smaller projects within a portfolio in the manufacturing, laboratory and infrastructure lines of business.
The Associate Director, Engineering will strive to develop good relationships with cross-functional areas consisting of all aspects of the business including Operations, Quality, Technology, Maintenance, and Safety. This position is located in West Point, PA, but may require the candidate to be available to travel 50% of their time to support projects within the America's and internationally at the various plant sites.
**Responsibilities include:**
+ Managing an integrated project team to deliver critical assets on time and within a prescribed budget
+ Leading the development of project execution plans
+ Verifying that project scopes provide an effective business solution

**Minimum Education Requirement and Experience:**
+ Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Engineering or related field with ten (10) years' experience executing/delivering a variety of capital and/or expense projects. **OR**
+ Master of Science (MS) degree in Engineering or related field with eight (8) years' experience executing/delivering a variety of capital and/or expense projects. **OR**
+ PhD in Engineering or related with four (4) years' experience executing/delivering a variety of capital and/or expense projects.
**Required Experience and Skills:**
+ Experience in managing an integrated project team to deliver critical assets on time and within a prescribed budget.
+ Proficient oral and written communication skills along with the ability to deliver project status and funding presentations in a concise, effective and organized manner.
+ Outstanding decision-making skills and strengths in change management and team alignment.
+ The ability to collaborate in a team environment that is sensitive to the needs of the business.
+ The ability to travel 50%, including internationally.
**Preferred Experience and Skills:**
+ Experience in Lean Project Delivery Methodologies (i.e. target value design, off-site fabrication, pull planning scheduling tools) considered a plus.

The salary range for this role is
$139,600.00 - $219,700.00

Located approximately 50 miles northeast of Safford, Arizona on U.S. Highway 191, Morenci operations (an open-pit copper mining complex) has been in continuous operation since 1939. The operation consists of two concentrators, crushed-ore leach pad and stacking system, a low-grade run-of-mine (ROM) leaching system; four SX plants; and three EW tank houses that produce copper cathode.
**Description**
**_This position will be based primarily at the following location: Morenci, AZ_**
Under limited supervision, provides employee advocacy support and assistance to facilitate Freeport-McMoRan's Problem Solving Procedure.
+ Serve as advocate/representative for eligible employees who file a complaint under the Problem Solving Procedure (which may include appeals boards or arbitrations)
+ Support employee position through research (this may include employee interviews, policy reviews and legal research) and assist in the development of a clear argument
+ Provide guidance to employees with regard to the Problem Solving Procedure and the Open Door Policy; occasionally may provide guidance on a variety of other topics including Company policies, procedures, benefits, paid time off and the evaluation process
+ Maintain timely and accurate records and reports for documentation of events and results
+ Ensure all administrative processes within the Problem Solving Procedures are closely followed
+ Assist with the development of training material for the Problem Solving Procedure and conduct training when requested
+ Contribute to the development and/or recommendation for new, enhanced, or modified HR policies and procedures
+ Perform other duties as required
**Qualifications**
**Minimum Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's degree and five (5) years of experience in mining or manufacturing

Throughout your time in the program, we significantly invest in your development and provide you with exposure and experiences across our business to prepare you for future opportunities. You will receive coaching from subject matter experts, face real-life design and engineering challenges from industry leading engineers, contribute to significant projects, and help make key decisions that directly impact how we design and construct assets to manufacture pharmaceuticals and deliver them to our patients globally. You will work with the GES integrated project teams (Business Integration, Technology Center, Delivery, Project Business Services, End-to-End Solutions), key internal stakeholders (Technical Operations, Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, Safety), as well as external Engineering Firms and Vendors to optimally design, construct, and deliver new facilities with innovative, technical engineering solutions to our customers.
Under the direction of the GESDP Program Lead, employees in the program complete several 4, 6, and 8-month rotations within GES over the course of three (3) years. Employees are onboarded at the start of the program and receive fit-for-purpose training prior to their first and before each subsequent rotation. Rotations are determined by business need in conjunction with employee interest and development opportunities. Rotations include but are not limited to:
+ Business Integration and Project Design Management - work with the business to develop the project and managing/coordinate aspects of front-end engineering design.
+ Our Company's Production System - apply Lean methodologies to ensure facilities are built right-sized and fit-for-purpose.
+ Estimating and Project Controls - learn the basics of developing budget estimates and controlling cost and schedule activities.
+ Delivery - execute of a project from design phase to system handover to end user.
+ Process Engineering - design, startup, commission, qualification, and operation for equipment and systems.
+ Automation - design, startup, installation, and qualification of automated equipment and systems.
+ Finance - oversee and maintain financial compliance posture between GES and external partners through ongoing monitoring and audits.
In addition to rotations, you are required to participate in additional GES-specific projects/initiatives and are encouraged also to participate in development opportunities to further build your knowledge, skillset, and network.
Upon completion of the program, successful participants are well-positioned to apply to targeted roles of interest and greater responsibility within GES to further develop and grow their career at our Company. **Required Education and Experience:**
+ Candidates must be currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in engineering (e.g., Chemical, Biomedical, Mechanical, etc.), or equivalent discipline from an accredited college/university, preferably with a major in construction management, and graduate by end of 2025 to start full-time in early 2026, or in the Spring 2026 to start in the summer of 2026.
+ Candidates must be eligible to work in the U.S. or lawful permanent resident of U.S. without sponsorship.

Under the direction of the GESDP Program Lead, employees in the program complete several 4, 6, and 8-month rotations within GES over the course of three (3) years. Employees are onboarded at the start of the program and receive fit-for-purpose training prior to their first and before each subsequent rotation. Rotations are determined by business need in conjunction with employee interest and development opportunities. Rotations include but are not limited to:
+ Business Integration and Project Design Management - work with the business to develop the project and managing/coordinate aspects of front-end engineering design.
+ Our Company's Production System - apply Lean methodologies to ensure facilities are built right-sized and fit-for-purpose.
+ Estimating and Project Controls - learn the basics of developing budget estimates and controlling cost and schedule activities.
+ Delivery - execute of a project from design phase to system handover to end user.
+ Process Engineering - design, startup, commission, qualification, and operation for equipment and systems.
+ Automation - design, startup, installation, and qualification of automated equipment and systems.
+ Finance - oversee and maintain financial compliance posture between GES and external partners through ongoing monitoring and audits.

Upon completion of the program, successful participants are well-positioned to apply to targeted roles of interest and greater responsibility within GES to further develop and grow their career at our Company. **Required Education and Experience:**

Under the direction of the GESDP Program Lead, employees in the program complete several 4, 6, and 8-month rotations within GES over the course of three (3) years. Employees are onboarded at the start of the program and receive fit-for-purpose training prior to their first and before each subsequent rotation. Rotations are determined by business need in conjunction with employee interest and development opportunities. Rotations include but are not limited to:
+ Business Integration and Project Design Management - work with the business to develop the project and managing/coordinate aspects of front-end engineering design.
+ Our Company's Production System - apply Lean methodologies to ensure facilities are built right-sized and fit-for-purpose.
+ Estimating and Project Controls - learn the basics of developing budget estimates and controlling cost and schedule activities.
+ Delivery - execute of a project from design phase to system handover to end user.
+ Process Engineering - design, startup, commission, qualification, and operation for equipment and systems.
+ Automation - design, startup, installation, and qualification of automated equipment and systems.
+ Finance - oversee and maintain financial compliance posture between GES and external partners through ongoing monitoring and audits.
In addition to rotations, you are required to participate in additional GES-specific projects/initiatives and are encouraged also to participate in development opportunities to further build your knowledge, skillset, and network.
Upon completion of the program, successful participants are well-positioned to apply to targeted roles of interest and greater responsibility within GES to further develop and grow their career at our Company. **Required Education and Experience:**

General Statement Of Duties

Summary of Job Classification:
Ensures effective implementation, operation, and sustainability of one or more Problem Solving Court (PSC) programs, such as Adult Drug Court, DUI Court, Family Drug Court, Juvenile Drug Court, and Mental Health Court specific to assigned district and location. Serves as a liaison between the program and the probation office as well as outside agencies and community programs.

Essential Functions Of the Position

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform assigned essential functions listed below satisfactorily. Assists with the implementation, operation, and sustainability of PSC programs for an assigned district.

Performs administrative support to ensure programmatic success, including monitoring program budgets, ordering supplies, coordinating graduation for program participants, and maintaining accurate records and documentation.

Coordinates efforts for court treatments in compliance with applicable legislation, key components, and philosophies. Collaborates with team members to determine appropriate treatment plans for court participants.

Participates in community engagement efforts, including developing and maintaining promotional materials and resources, reporting on initiatives during the advisory council meetings, and conducting outreach to foster productive partnerships with the community.

Provides oversight and leadership to the PSC operations team. Organizes and participates in team meetings. Trains team members and develops subsequent resource materials. Promotes team building activities by coordinating team retreats and events.

Drafts, publishes, and updates program policies, procedures, contracts, and other documentation in adherence with the Colorado Problem Solving Court Standards.

Tracks and maintains statistical data for PSC programs. Utilizes data to demonstrate areas of success and areas for improvement. Prepares programmatic and financial reports to the State Court Administrators Office to be allocated Judicial funds for participant services.

Compiles information necessary for program accreditation. Reviews information for accuracy, obtains appropriate approvals for judicial officials, and submits to the State Court Administrator's Office. Conducts ongoing compliance checks to maintain program accreditation.

Manages the budget for county funding and incentive items.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Work requires providing guidance and the potential to oversee another employee. This position may oversee work quality, training, instructing and work assignments. The work performed by majority of employees is complex.

Education and Experience Equivalency:
Bachelors degree in the field of Psychology, Sociology, or related field.

OR

Additional work experience in these or other related fields may be substituted on a year for year basis for the required formal education.

Work Related Experience:
1 to 3 years of experience in social work or related field.

Physical Demands

Physical Effort Requirements:
Medium Work- Exerting up to 35 pounds of force occasionally, up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly having to move objects.

Work Environment:
Good - Relatively free from unpleasant environmental conditions and/or hazards.

Work Location:
Office or similar indoor environment; community venues.

Exposures:
Individuals who are hostile or irate; individuals with known violent backgrounds; communicable diseases; individuals under the influence of a controlled substance.
