Key Responsibilities
This position will report to the Director, IT Infrastructure and Operations and will be responsible for developing, leading, managing and delivering quality network services to all sites across the globe. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and a deep understanding of enterprise networks.
As a key member of the senior IT leadership team this role contributes to the development and execution of the enterprise-wide IT strategy and is responsible for ensuring I&O strategy is fully aligned, positioning I&O to deliver compelling business value.
In this role, you will:
- Lead resources maintaining and administering the global network environment
- Design and develop enterprise-wide networks that meet defined company standards and cabling best practices
- Conduct troubleshooting, diagnosing network hardware, software, telephony and other network problems
- Implementing network security measures to ensure corporate data safety
- Direct resources in replacing faulty network hardware components when required
- Monitoring network performance and utilization to determine if adjustments need to be made
- Managing ISP Contracts, Cabling vendors and all other pertinent vendor relationships
- Work with Datacenter network support teams to ensure quality of service and troubleshoot
- Highly organized with ability to document technical systems with consistency
- Team player with strong analytical skills and the ability to understand and resolve complex problems
- Flexibility, commitment, and capacity to work both independently and as part of a team, including working on-call nights and weekends
- All other duties as assigned.
- BS or MA in Information Technology or combination of equivalent education and work experience
- 5+ years of experience in network management
- AZ-700, Cisco Certified CCNA or CCNP certificate is a plus
- Ability to implement, administer, and troubleshoot network infrastructure services and devices, including SD-Wan, VPN, DNS, DHCP, wireless access points, firewall, routers, and switches
- Experience conducting wireless site surveys to implement proper coverage
- Advanced knowledge of network security (IDS/IPS) and DNS web filtering
- Experience with VOIP technologies and telephone systems
- Advanced knowledge of security firewall rules and network segmentation
- Knowledge of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), application transport and network infrastructure protocols
- Experience with automation and APIs
- Experience in creating and testing BCP and DR processes in relation to the network
- Ability to create accurate network diagrams and documentation for design and planning network communication systems
- Be available for upgrades, troubleshooting and projects that may occur after traditional office hours

Global Network Delivery is seeking a Sr. Manager to lead our data center network delivery technical infrastructure program managers (TIPMs) responsible for managing deployment of our global networking infrastructure, including both delivery of new data center builds as well as scaling our network to support customer growth.
You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. Through your team, you will work to deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. This is a rapidly evolving space, offering significant opportunities to build ground-up mechanisms and metrics while revolutionizing AWS's approach to delivering data center networking infrastructure. The role demands strategic thinking, innovative problem-solving, and strong leadership capabilities to transform our global network delivery operations. The ideal candidate will have strong technical program management skills, experience managing complex and large-scale programs (including cost, schedule and performance for portfolios, programs, or individual projects), excellent written and verbal communications, and polished executive presence. Key job responsibilities
Manage and lead a team of technical infrastructure program managers (TIPMs), responsible for deploying data center networking infrastructure.
Partner with Network Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, and Sourcing to deliver data center capacity across multiple geographical locations.
Identify opportunities to significantly streamline the physical network delivery process through optimization initiatives.
Ensure transparency and decision making across AWS leadership by providing communication and clear status of the programs your team owns.
Bring your expertise, problem solving skills, and creativity to add value and diversity of thought to our team.
Develop and implement metrics, mechanisms, and processes over key business programs and processes in order to drive improvements across various business units.
