This opportunity is part of the Global Technology Infrastructure & Operations team (GTIO), where our mission is to deliver modern and relevant technology that supports the way McDonald's works. We provide best-in-class foundational technology products and services including Global Networking, Cloud, End User Computing, and IT Service Management. The Technical Product Manager, Cloud, role is part of the Cloud Infrastructure & Operations team in Global Technology Infrastructure & Operations. The role works with the Cloud Enablement Office Senior Manager and is responsible for driving Enterprise Cloud Governance Standardization, management of the Agile Process for Cloud, driving Cloud Business Office initiatives, and ensuring alignment with Cloud Security, Cloud operations, Cloud Platform (Enterprise DevSecOps), Cloud SRE, and internal consumer of Cloud.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced technology leader to help shape the transformation of infrastructure and operations products and services to the entire McDonalds environment.
Responsibilities
+ Manages and supports the Cloud Technology Product, and/or suite of products with business impact.
+ Defines and performs the product roadmap for our Cloud-focused solutions aligned with the company's strategy and goals.
+ Partners with business leaders, technical product managers, and architects to determine the long-term viability of systems/products, from business and technology standpoints.
+ Communicates ideas effectively, verbally and in writing, to a wide range of audiences, including upper-management. Fosters a constructive dialogue, harmonizes discordant views, and leads the resolution of issues.
+ Decomposes complex problems into straight-forward solutions. Consistently brings strong, data-driven business, and technical judgment to decisions.
+ Identifies core problems or opportunities within business processes. Understands the root cause and impacts for the project and other teams.

+ Invests time to continuously improve your product management capabilities and close skill gaps in technology, and Cloud.
Qualifications
+ 8+ years of technical product management or relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree or 6+ years relevant experience with a Master's degree.
+ Experience working on technical teams that handle an important product and/or a suite of products.
+ Experience communicating with leadership and setting expectations for major multi-functional initiative

+ Excellent written and verbal communication to present facts, thoughts, and ideas in a clear, concise, and manner to senior partners.

+ Shown analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions, develop project cases, and measure success.

The enterprise is currently migrating from AWS to Google Cloud, and this role will be critical in standing up Google Cloud Operations, embedding leading practices, and ensuring the platform is operated at the highest standards of reliability, security, and performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the setup and maturation of Google Cloud Operations during and after the migration from AWS.
  • Define and implement operational standards, policies, and runbooks for GCP environments.
  • Drive incident management, monitoring, observability, and service reliability practices.
  • Partner with architecture, migration, and security teams to ensure smooth transition and alignment with enterprise goals.
  • Establish automation practices for deployment, scaling, patching, and compliance.
  • Build and mentor a high-performing operations team, instilling best-in-class DevOps and SRE practices.
  • Manage stakeholder relationships across engineering, product, and business functions to ensure operational excellence.
Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience in Cloud Operations or Site Reliability Engineering, with at least 3+ years in leadership roles.
  • Proven expertise in Google Cloud Platform, including core services such as Compute Engine, GKE, BigQuery, Cloud Storage, IAM, and networking.
  • Hands-on experience operating workloads in AWS and leading migrations to GCP.
  • Deep knowledge of infrastructure as code, automation, CI/CD pipelines, and configuration management (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, GitOps).
  • Strong background in monitoring and observability (e.g., Stackdriver, Prometheus, Grafana).
  • Solid understanding of security, compliance, and governance in cloud environments.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in hybrid or multi-cloud operating models.
  • Familiarity with SRE principles (SLIs, SLOs, error budgets).
  • Experience in regulated industries with high security and compliance requirements.

Role Overview
