Job Responsibilities:

We are seeking a Senior Manager for Data Governance & Data Management Services to drive enterprise-wide data governance initiatives. This role will focus on establishing frameworks, policies, and best practices to ensure high-quality, standardized, and accessible data across the organization. You will collaborate with business and technical teams to enable master data management, metadata governance, and data product creation aligned with a data mesh approach. Major Responsibilities

Establish and Implement Data Governance Framework
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to define governance models
  • Implement governance framework covering access, data quality, and metadata
  • Draft and socialize policies and data standards
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and security requirements
Lead Master Data Services & Standardization
  • Manage ERP master data and company hierarchies
  • Drive usage of common master & reference data across business units
  • Drive enterprise-wide data standardization efforts
  • Provide governance support and training to business teams
Enable Data Products & Data Mesh Approach
  • Develop roadmaps for data enablement and self-service analytics
  • Work with technical teams to integrate governance into platforms
  • Support data product creation by ensuring governed and discoverable data
  • Foster a data-driven culture across the organization
Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
  • Partner with IT, business, and compliance teams to ensure alignment
  • Educate teams on data governance, policies, and best practices
  • Advocate for data governance adoption across departments
  • Continuously improve governance processes based on business needs
Knowledge and Education
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field
Work Experience
  • 5-7 years of work related experience in data management, and analytics
  • Proven track record in leading teams and implementing data management initiatives
Skills and Competencies
  • Expertise in data governance frameworks, metadata management, and master data management
  • Strong knowledge of data quality, access management, and regulatory compliance
  • Ability to influence and drive governance adoption across teams
  • Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills

Position Profile

Weaver is looking for a dynamic Governance, Risk and Compliance Services Director to join our growing firm. The ideal candidate is a strategic advisory professional with an advanced understanding of accounting, audit and business process improvement concepts. This leader will execute client engagement objectives while also building and supervising a team. Client project types will include:
  • Risk-based, value-orientated internal audits, including Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, asset protection, compliance and fraud prevention components
  • Risk and compliance assessments designed to identify, evaluate and mange critical risks and compliance initiatives
  • Business process improvement and reengineering
Primary industries served will be Financial Services, Private Equity, Real Estate, Life Science, Technology and Manufacturing & Distribution. In addition to the technical expertise required for client servicing, we are also looking for someone who possesses a strong professional network in NYC and has proven business development skills. This professional will work closely with Firm and local leadership to expand Weaver's Advisory service offerings in the New York metropolitan area.

To be successful in this role, the following qualifications are required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • CPA or CIA designation
  • 9+ years of public accounting experience or a combination of public accounting and relevant industry experience
  • Comprehensive understanding of financial reporting, transaction cycles, and business processes
  • Thorough understanding of GAAP, GAAS, COSO internal control framework, IIA standards, SOX and Section 404
  • Excellent business writing and presentation skills
  • Experience with business process improvement procedures
  • Proven ability to manage, mentor and develop a team
  • Strong relationship management and practice development skills
  • Ability to attract and service new clients and expand services to existing clients, including participation in the proposal process

A reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this position is $155,000 to $300,000. Actual compensation will be based on a variety of factors including but not limited to experience, skills, certifications, and geographical location. + Provide expertise on Data Governance and/or Data Risk and Controls framework including design, effectiveness, performance monitoring and self-assessment processes
+ Oversight and analysis of data-related issues, tracking of ownership and target dates and associated metrics and reporting
+ Support and coordinate with business lines and global functions on enterprise Data Governance strategy roll out, including new Data risk taxonomy and associated changes to key risk indicators and control framework
+ Gather and synthesize metrics on existing Data Governance and/or Data Risk and Controls principles, policies, practices and standards, e.g., understanding industry best practices
+ Produce recommendations for enterprise-wide guiding principles, policies, processes and practices
+ Determine requirements for and prioritize development of new enterprise-wide principles, policies, processes and practices as needed
+ Develop and manage approach for measuring adoption of principles, policies, processes and practices
**Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor's/University degree, Master's degree preferred
+ 6+ years relevant experience in a Data Governance/ Data Management/ Process Engineering or related area
+ Advanced understanding of Project Management methodologies and tools
+ Requires basic commercial awareness
+ Ability to monitor tight deadlines or unexpected requirement changes, with the ability to anticipate and balance needs of multiple stakeholders
+ Ability to communicate effectively to develop and deliver multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences

Regulatory Legal Services Coordinator

Wilmington, DE (Hybrid) or Nova Scotia, Canada (Hybrid)

As a Regulatory Legal Services Coordinator, you will be responsible for supporting the management of international entity portfolios. In this role, you will be required to collaborate with internal team members and third-party vendors to meet annual compliance deadlines, oversee the completion of ad hoc legal transactions, and assist with corporate secretarial and governance needs on behalf of the clients we serve.

Someone with a legal or compliance background who loves problem solving, is self-motivated, and thrives in a fast-paced environment will do well in this position. This role requires a strong ability to prioritize, a high-level of organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively given minimal direction.

Some of the things you'll be doing:
  • Liaise between the internal contacts and third-party vendors globally to process any annual compliance, legal transactions and transactional filings
  • Timely review, response, and fulfillment of client and vendor requests and corporate filings in multiple jurisdictions
  • Supporting Global Subsidiary Coordinators with projects
  • Collaborating with team members and third-party vendors via Salesforce CRM and other technologies
  • Research, evaluation and application of jurisdictional requirements necessary for corporate filings and legal transactions
  • Managing the accuracy of all client information in our Company Records and Entity Management applications
What technical skills, experience and qualifications do you need?
  • Focus on delivering high customer service standards.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English is a must; fluency in an additional top language for international business is a plus.
  • Ability to interface with multiple levels of the CSC organization and high-level representatives of external parties.
  • Strives for quality in every work product and contributes ideas to process improvement initiatives in the department.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage time effectively.
  • Ability to manage a high-volume of work while adhering to quality performance standards.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Paralegal/Company Secretary/Corporate law (or any relevant legal experience is preferred but not required.
  • Prior experience in compliance, KYC, and/or AML is a plus.
  • Prior Corporate Governance experience or expertise in a particular jurisdiction's legal/compliance framework.
  • Certifications in any relevant aspect of Corporate Governance or compliance.
  • Project management and/or data analysis experience.
