**Description of Job Duties/Responsibilities:**

Role Responsibilities
+ Under direction from KBR's Senior Director of Government Relations, develop and prepare strategic products detailing KBR's legislative priorities and government relations strategy consistent with KBR's established goals and metrics

**Position Purpose:**
The Specialist will facilitate operations of The Home Depot's Washington DC office, which entails providing primary support to assigned VP and working collaboratively with the Government Relations and External Communications teams to support various projects. The role will handle building management and event logistics, oversee external partnerships and internship programs, political compliance, executive visits, presentation support and other duties as needed. **Key Responsibilities:**
35% Administrative:
+ Identifies needs and initiates projects independently
+ Sets priorities and procedures for accomplishing work, delegating responsibility as needed
+ Acts as gatekeeper for VP with regard to scheduling, visitors, and correspondence; maintains confidentiality
+ May supervise a single or group of non-exempt support secretary staff interns, including hiring, training, and performance appraisal
+ Reviews and questions where necessary expense reports of VP's direct reports
+ Makes complex domestic or international travel arrangements
+ Operates a variety of office equipment

**Responsibilities**
+ Assists head of government affairs with strategic planning for known and potential regulatory activities related to the business and industry areas.
+ Builds and maintains professional relationships with members of federal, state, and local government entities and agencies.
