Position Summary :
The Government Proposal Specialist is a skilled and detail-oriented proposal writer who is responsible for preparing, writing, and submitting high-quality proposals in response to government Requests for Proposals (RFPs). This role requires a strong understanding of government procurement processes, excellent writing skills, and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Proposal Development: Lead the development and submission of government RFP responses, ensuring compliance with all requirements and guidelines.
- Research and Analysis: Conduct thorough research on government RFPs, including understanding the scope, requirements, and evaluation criteria.
- Content Creation: Write clear, concise, and persuasive proposal content, including executive summaries, technical sections, and pricing narratives.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including project managers, technical experts, and finance, to gather necessary information and ensure proposals are accurate and compelling.
- Communication: Maintain clear and consistent communication with all stakeholders throughout the proposal process to ensure alignment and address any issues promptly.
- Marketing Materials: Ensure all marketing materials are up-to-date and aligned with the company's branding and messaging.
- Compliance: Ensure all proposals meet government standards and regulations, including formatting, content, and submission guidelines.
- Review and Editing : Review and edit proposal content for clarity, grammar, and overall quality.
- Tracking and Reporting: Maintain a database of submitted proposals and track their status, including feedback and outcomes.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement and implement best practices in proposal writing and submission.
- Adherence to ConServe's Professional Practices Management System (PPMS), Code of Conduct, and Compliance Program

- Representation: Represent ConServe at industry conferences, networking events, and meetings to promote the company and its services.

Education:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Business, or a related field preferred.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with government procurement processes and regulations
- Experience in crafting successful proposal responses.
- Work the required hours based on Client deadlines and business need.
- Proposal software administration and Client Relationship Management (CRM) experience.
- Salesforce experience preferred.

We are currently seeking qualified candidates for an immediate opening to join our team as a proposal specialist. Waveguide's proposal specialist is an integral member of the growth team. Working closely with the vice president of growth as well as members of Waveguide's growth and leadership teams, the proposal specialist is responsible for the end-to-end proposal development process - ensuring the high-quality production of compliant, compelling, and timely proposals and qualifications. Because this position is remote with some light business travel as needed, we are looking for candidates who are excellent at time management and possess a unique ability - with proper support from Waveguide - to cultivate relationships, build cross-functional connections and acquire skills in a remote work environment.
Responsibilities
Develop and assemble new business proposals, qualifications submittals and other material requested by clients regarding new business opportunities.
Maintain full ownership of proposal timelines, deadlines, and requirements.
Organize proposal teams, collaborating with technical and business development leaders and peers to determine approach for new business proposals. Assign and perform tasks within that approach.
Working with project principals and consultants, develop/contribute to statements of work (SOWs) for enterprise clients and additional service requests (ASRs) for existing projects.

Core Competencies
· Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in business administration, marketing, communications, or related field.
· 5+ years of experience in the A/E/C industry. Knowledge of AV industry a plus. Prior professional services marketing and proposal development preferred.
· Ability to perform work accurately and completely, and in a timely manner.
· Excellent organizational, time management, critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Superior skills in writing, storytelling, and copy-editing. Working knowledge of AP Style or equivalent business writing guides.

**Job Summary**
Position Overview
We are currently seeking qualified candidates for an immediate opening to join our team as a proposal specialist. Waveguide's proposal specialist is an integral member of the growth team. Working closely with the vice president of growth as well as members of Waveguide's growth and leadership teams, the proposal specialist is responsible for the end-to-end proposal development process - ensuring the high-quality production of compliant, compelling, and timely proposals and qualifications. Because this position is remote with some light business travel as needed, we are looking for candidates who are excellent at time management and possess a unique ability - with proper support from Waveguide - to cultivate relationships, build cross-functional connections and acquire skills in a remote work environment.
Responsibilities
Develop and assemble new business proposals, qualifications submittals and other material requested by clients regarding new business opportunities.
Maintain full ownership of proposal timelines, deadlines, and requirements.
Organize proposal teams, collaborating with technical and business development leaders and peers to determine approach for new business proposals. Assign and perform tasks within that approach.
Working with project principals and consultants, develop/contribute to statements of work (SOWs) for enterprise clients and additional service requests (ASRs) for existing projects.
Write and edit compelling content that directly responds to RFP/RFQ requirements (e.g., resumes, project descriptions, boilerplate responses).
Using CRM and other established processes, track and coordinate ongoing new business opportunities and proposal activity.
Provide ongoing follow-up on submitted qualifications and proposals.
Maintain proposal templates in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint and work with growth team peers to identify and prioritize new proposal and qualification documents as needed.
Provide other duties as may be requested to support new business pursuits.
Core Competencies
· Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in business administration, marketing, communications, or related field.
· 5+ years of experience in the A/E/C industry. Knowledge of AV industry a plus. Prior professional services marketing and proposal development preferred.
· Ability to perform work accurately and completely, and in a timely manner.
· Excellent organizational, time management, critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Superior skills in writing, storytelling, and copy-editing. Working knowledge of AP Style or equivalent business writing guides.
· Excellent interpersonal skills, including self-awareness, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, partners, vendors, executive leaders, and peers.
