Job Summary

Support the Frontline Construction Technology (FCT) team by developing, maintaining and supporting digital tools that improve project performance and construction efficiency. This role focuses on user-friendly solutions using platforms such as Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Power Apps, and Power Automate. The Frontline Construction Tech Specialist will document processes, create training resources, and provide user support and troubleshooting. Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain custom digital tools

**WHAT YOU WILL DO:**
_Regulatory Compliance_
+ Provides Environmental Compliance and construction oversite on transmission Site Development and Linear Transmission Line construction projects for Electric Transmission infrastructure.
+ Provides Environmental Oversight and compliance/inspections associated with Transmission Capital Projects and the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) and Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP).
+ Ensure compliance with laws and regulations for wetland access, protected species, wood and debris disposal, site control and soil disturbance.
+ Ensure that all field operations are in compliance with permits, including road use permits, natural resource protection act permits, Corp of Engineers permits, etc.
+ Document pre- and post-work field conditions to make sure that sites are in compliance with permits and environmental regulations and there are no conditions that require mitigation or restoration.
_Field Operations_
+ Performs all required erosion and sediment, stormwater management and pollution prevention inspections for applicable construction projects.
+ Interprets complex plans and drawings.
+ Perform duties in a manner that will promote and maintain good public relations.
_Crew Oversight_
+ Responsible for attending pre-construction meetings, constructability meetings, and status meetings as directed.
+ Manage and oversee site development crews. Responsible for providing oversight for sediment and erosion control or Best Management Practice (BMP) contractors to ensure all measures are installed as per the approved plan.
+ Observe that wetlands & sensitive areas' identification are in place and that crews are aware of them prior to entering such areas.
_Stakeholder & Public Relations_
+ Monitors and reports to Project Management on status of construction units estimated and actuals billed to date of project.
+ Communicate daily with the utility client, contractors, landowners, and the public.
_Subject Matter Expert Consulting_
+ Assist in developing recommendations on future R-O-W maintenance requirements.
+ Identify Hazard Trees and prescribe vegetation management plans for construction sites.
_Additional Responsibilities_
+ Drive a company vehicle safely to work locations for the organization.
+ Assume other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
**WHAT YOU NEED TO HAVE:**
+ Associate or bachelor's degree in environmental science, Construction Management, Building Science, or a degree related to these fields.
+ 1-5 years' experience in Site Development work, permitting utility construction, Environmental Compliance, or a related field.
+ Must have solid understanding of the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination Service (NPDES) Construction General Permit (CGP) Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) implementation and inspections associated with these permits and plans.
+ Desire to work outdoors in various weather conditions and terrain.
+ Strong public relation skills/ability to interface with the public.
+ Willingness to work alone.
+ Basic computer skills.
+ Valid driver's license.
**WHAT WOULD BE AMAZING TO HAVE:**
+ Substantial amount of background in the Electric Transmission Construction, Pipeline, and/or Utility field.
+ Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) book knowledge.
+ CESSWI (Certified Erosion and Sediment/Stormwater Inspector).
+ Previous construction crew oversight experience.
+ GIS Experience.
+ Strong knowledge ANSI Z133 safety standards.
+ Having a military background is a plus.
+ Bi-Lingual speaking (English and Spanish) is a plus.
**Working Environment**
