Our client, at the vanguard of the clean energy revolution, is actively seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Process Engineer to join their fully remote, globally distributed engineering team. This role is instrumental in the design, optimization, and scaling of manufacturing processes for next-generation green energy technologies, such as advanced battery systems, high-efficiency solar components, or novel energy storage solutions. You will apply your deep understanding of chemical engineering principles, process modeling, and statistical process control to enhance product yield, quality, and cost-effectiveness. The ideal candidate thrives in a remote-first environment, possesses exceptional problem-solving skills, and is passionate about contributing to a sustainable future. This position requires a self-starter who can work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams across different time zones.

- Design, develop, and implement robust manufacturing processes for green energy technologies.
- Optimize existing production processes to improve efficiency, throughput, yield, and product quality.
- Develop and maintain process flow diagrams (PFDs), piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), and equipment specifications.
- Utilize process simulation software (e.g., Aspen Plus, HYSYS) for process design, analysis, and optimization.
- Conduct root cause analysis for process deviations and implement corrective actions.
- Lead and participate in Process Hazard Analyses (PHAs) and safety reviews.
- Develop and implement statistical process control (SPC) strategies to monitor and control process performance.
- Collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, and quality assurance teams to ensure seamless technology transfer and scale-up.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and process innovations relevant to green energy manufacturing.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the team's technical expertise.
- Manage projects related to process improvements and new equipment installations.
- Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related discipline. A Ph.D. is a plus.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in process engineering, with a significant focus on manufacturing process design, optimization, and scale-up.
- Demonstrated experience in the green energy sector (e.g., battery manufacturing, solar technology, renewable fuels) is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in process simulation and modeling software.
- Strong understanding of unit operations, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and mass transfer.
- Experience with statistical process control (SPC) and Design of Experiments (DOE).
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a remote team environment.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
