Job Description
The primary role of a Senior Product Manager within Amazon is to invent new products and features on behalf of customers: working cross-functionally to drive ideas from conception to execution, developing marketing plans to drive awareness and adoption, segmenting customers and developing business models, defining and analyzing success metrics, managing strategic projects, and being the business owner of the product.
From Day 1, Product Managers are given ownership of large products; the autonomy to think strategically and make data driven decisions; and the ability to drive significant impact to the customer experience and the business. Over their careers, successful product managers will be exposed to multiple businesses/products, and pushed to grow into senior level general managers that independently run large business segments and organizations.
In this role, you will help create and drive the long-term vision for the internal tools supporting price optimization in Amazon's physical grocery stores. Physical stores are an innovation focal point at Amazon, and you will own the technical roadmap for optimizing prices, seeking to simultaneously deliver the best prices for customers while surfacing proposed prices in an easy, intuitive interface for business teams to audit and refine. You'll take ownership for designing and executing solutions that improve system scalability, reduce defects, and improve systems and processes around pricing. You will lead the development of consumer-focused product strategy and vision supported by internal and external analysis, frequently meeting with our internal customers to gauge pain points and build creative solutions to solve them. You will develop requirements to create or enhance systems and tools used to manage scaling price optimization and management. As the Product Manager, you will need to partner with and build a strong relationship with internal Retail Tech, Data Services, and partner Tech teams to drive projects for Amazon grocery stores. Always focused on the end customer, you will collaborate with regional retail management teams, supply chain executors, selection leads, and other teams both inside of Amazon Grocery and broader Amazon to ensure complete and supportable processes and tools.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
- Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
- Experience managing technical products or online services
- Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in using analytical tools, such as Tableau, Qlikview, QuickSight
- Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools
