The Airport Ground Transportation Coordinator provides exceptional customer service to the traveling public by answering questions, directing passengers and customers to the area of the airport they are seeking and directing passengers to available ground transportation options.
**Pay: $17.34 per hour**

**Schedule:** **Thursday-Saturday 5pm-1:30am and Friday-Saturday 2pm-10:30pm**

**Basic Qualifications:**

Responsibilities

Responsible for providing maintenance services for holding lot and facilities to ensure a safe, clean and environmentally friendly working environmental for all personnel and authorized participants. Individual must be able to perform with minimum supervision.

* Maintain daily cleanliness (e.g. sweep and mop floors, empty trash and clean surfaces) of all facilities, including:
* Primary and secondary building structures at holding lot
* Holding lot restrooms (clean, service and disinfect)

* Maintain grounds, including:
* Clearing snow
* Trimming shrubbery and grass
* Sanding or salting, as necessary during inclement weather


* Identify minor facility repairs including fixture / bulb replacements
* Advise Supervisor of any facility maintenance and safety related issues
* Occasionally perform cleaning and maintenance services at Terminal booth areas;
* Courteously assist fellow workers and customers
* Complete other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Position Summary:

Responsible for providing safe and timely transportation services, locally and/or to distant points, for CGTC designated students and/or employees for scheduled events utilizing College-owned automobiles, vans and and/or passenger bus. Travel will include local area travel, travel within the state of Georgia, out-of-state travel as needed and will require overnight travel stay(s) as needed. Travel, to include overnight stay(s) may be required during the Monday through Friday work week or Saturday/Sunday. Responsible for the cleanliness and maintenance of vehicles. Maintains qualifications for employment as described by the Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG) Policy Manual and accreditation standards. Follows rules and regulations as described by the TCSG Policy Manual and other policies and procedures established by the institution. This position will require a flexible schedule in order to meet the needs of the department; travel within the college's service area, travel within the state of Georgia and travel outside the state of Georgia, to include overnight travel, as associated with the position.

Major responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following:

§ Operates a motor vehicle to safely and timely transport passengers from one destination to another;

§ Plans routes and departure/travel times; checks for traffic delays and plans accordingly

§ Reports all accidents, incidents, and/or breakdowns involving vehicle(s) while in use; makes arrangements for vehicle towing and/or alternate transportation if needed

§ Performs and/or assists with the preventative maintenance of the vehicle(s). Checks fuel, oil, battery, etc. to ensure continued operations

§ Maintains cleanliness of vehicle(s)

§ Records a variety of required data on appropriate forms (i.e. mileage, fuel consumption, passenger information, maintenance and repair needs, etc.

§ Completes all assigned trainings in a timely manner

§ Other responsibilities as assigned

Competencies:

§ Ability to operate vehicles carefully and competently, following traffic laws

§ Ability to read/follow maps, road signs and directions

§ Ability to recognize defects in the equipment that impacts safety

§ Ability to operate two-way radio and/or cellular telephone

§ Ability to perform pre-trip vehicle safety inspection

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications: Must upload transcripts which show conferred educational degrees and document qualifications in the employment history:

For operating a CGTC vehicle designed to transport 15 occupants or less, including the driver:

§ A valid, appropriate class Driver license with passenger endorsement issued by the Ga Department of Driver Services

For operating CGTC vehicles designed to transport 16 or more occupants, including the driver:

§ A valid, appropriate class Commercial Driver license with passenger endorsement issued by the Ga Department of Drivers Services

Preferred Qualifications: Preference may be given to applicants who, in addition to meeting the minimum qualifications, provide transcripts of conferred degrees and demonstrate in the employment history possession of one or more of the following:

§ Documented experience providing transportation services

+ Monitors daily job performance of employees according to departmental guidelines.

Job Description
Supervises and coordinates the daily activities of the Transportation Services department. Supervises the Route Service Representatives (RSR's); verifies logistical concerns of the Central Laboratories clients are handled accordingly; oversees the delivery of reagents and supplies from outside vendors. Maintains courier fleet of vehicles; maintains records of drivers and ensures their registration/licenses are valid and up-to-date.
Job Responsibility
+ Promotes Transportation Services department goals by selecting, motivating, and training capable team members.
+ Leads the activities of assigned Transportation Services team members by communicating and providing guidance toward achieving department objectives.
+ Supervises, hires, trains, disciplines, and evaluates the performance of staff; ensures performance appraisals are completed in a timely manner; sets priorities daily and delegates work assignments; schedules staff hours, vacation and sick time to ensure appropriate coverage.
+ Coordinates the daily activities of Logistics and the Central Laboratory Warehouse; completes and submits RSR and storeroom personnel payroll; communicates operational information, and changes in policies and procedures; ensures delivery of final reports to clients and coordinates the delivery of requested supplies.
+ Validates the amount of supplies needed against the number of tests sent to Core Laboratory; sorts and delivers final reports to clients via fax or RSR; coordinates the acquisition and delivery of supplies to clients.
+ Troubleshoots client/logistical issues, i.e. specimen problems, changing client accounts, set-up of client accounts; performs the duties of dispatcher for courier transport services; ensures requests for pickups and messenger services are met; keeps a log of requests for pickups.
+ Assists management in the layout of courier routes; ensures the completion of required documentation; ensures the maintenance of courier log; enters receipt data into daily and central log book.
+ Submits expense report and logs associated expenses to central log book or PC database; ensures courier vehicle/communication equipment maintenance and in-service; ensures proper use and maintenance of courier vehicles.
+ Ensures disabled vehicles are picked up and repaired; ensures receipt of incurred vehicle charges; coordinates repair of courier communication equipment; ensures communication equipment is used and maintained in accordance with operating procedures.
+ Supervises storeroom activities; coordinates receipt of supplies from vendors; ensures packing slips are maintained in files and received into the materials management system; coordinates supply orders going to clients.
+ Ensures placement of inventory within storeroom; monitors the ordering of supplies and notifies appropriate personnel of the inventory that requires replacement; ensures volume statistics are completed and distributed to appropriate personnel; performs the duties of RSR, as necessary.
+ Performs related duties as required. All responsibilities noted here are considered essential functions of the job under the Americans with Disabilities Act. Duties not mentioned here, but considered related are not essential functions.
Job Qualification
+ Associate's Degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
+ Valid Driver's License in New York State required, plus specialized certifications as needed.
+ 4-6 years of relevant experience and 0-2 years of leadership / management experience, required.
