Department Overview
Located in our Chicago headquarters, this role is a critical component of the company's Revenue Growth Management (RGM) strategy. Working in close partnership with global markets as well as other functions at headquarters, this position will be a critical part of enabling RGM success across global markets. Key areas of focus for this role will include; driving the continued evolution of our pricing tools, co-developing and sharing RGM standard methodologies across markets, and integrating RGM principles with related global functions.
Success requires strong critical thinking, comfort with data analytics, and a bias towards actionable solutions. With close contact with menu board pricing, discounting, and loyalty programs across the globe, the right candidate possesses a strong desire to learn as well as an obsession with customer value.
Duties
+ Work directly with global markets, as well as internal functions to integrate the best thinking that our system has to offer.
+ Support the sharing and distribution of findings and standard methodologies for RGM identified throughout the global system.
+ Collaborate with vendors, internal RGM partners, and markets to drive the continued evolution of our pricing tools and capabilities.
+ Support Senior Director RGM Strategy & Planning in tracking and coordinating key RGM activities across markets.
+ Support development of market research and intelligence to develop go to market strategies across customer segments optimizing margin and sales.
+ Use data to develop analysis, recommendations and strategies to optimize and grow long term shareholder value.
+ Assist the broader Revenue Growth Management team and leadership in driving adoption of tools and market success.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate must be a business partner with outstanding interpersonal skills who exhibit an ability to form relationships across a sophisticated and global organization.
As well as possess the following attributes, skills and professional experience:
+ Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field
+ Minimum 3 years' experience in finance, marketing or other business function supporting the development and execution of revenue generating strategy.
+ Familiarity with product management processes preferred.
+ Strong leadership capabilities. Ability to be a though leader, manage relationships with vendors and influence corporate and functional executives.
+ Strong analytical & strategic skills to synthesize marketing and pricing information to draw insights and measurable recommendations (e.g. structure the problem, collect data, identify issues, and present results).
+ Proven successes in persuading decision makers to adopt new ways of thinking and execution that help propel the business forward.
+ Basic understanding of pricing and promotional strategy or of the Quick Serve Restaurant space.

+ Lead core trade terms analytics (e.g., terms depth impact on sales, impact of pay per performance architecture)

+ Provides analytical inputs on category and market opportunities

This role reports to the Senior Manager of RGM APEX Reporting & Functionality within the RGM Capabilities team. It will deliver best-in-class APEX Reporting and Functionality support to enable the organization to drive and deliver profitable revenue growth strategies, harnessing our technology, data, and the power of our brands and portfolio.
**Job Responsibilities**
This role will actively participate in supporting the efforts of the extended RGM Capabilities APEX team, including Ad Hoc reporting requests, KPI reconciliation, and managing reporting anomalies. It will also work with the MDS team to deliver APEX reporting training documentation and manage access to US TPM reporting.
+ Support the analysis needed to drive the enhancement plan to improve APEX Reporting and Functionality
+ Support the in-depth situation assessment of existing APEX Reporting and Functionality to identify opportunities to innovate, improve, and revamp APEX Reporting and system/user functionality
+ Support enhancement and new reporting requests from the APEX Reporting and Functionality Taskforce, which consists of functional leaders from Sales, Sales Planning, Commercial Finance, and Customer RGM
+ Support the development and maintenance of QA/QC reporting for APEX Tableau and APEX Live
+ Ensure KPI alignment and integrity across dashboards to ensure the quality and accuracy of APEX Reporting
+ Work with the Accenture support team to manage payment, spend, and revenue reconciliation
+ APEX Reporting training and support. Define the business process for managing errors
+ Create and update training documentation for APEX Live and APEX Tableau Reporting
+ Execute ad-hoc tasks/requests for reporting, audits, and dashboard exports

Lead best-in-class analytics & ambitious recommendations which deliver 3% annual net sales value to the Kimberly-Clark business across RGM levers of price, mix, Pack & Price Architecture and Gross To Net.  Drive fast decision-making with state-of-the-art tools, multiple data platforms & industry leading techniques across consumer, category, competition & customer insights.  Have a clear understanding of retailer sell-in and execution to maximize revenue generation initiatives. Own the long term, strategic RGM roadmap including the multi-year RGM initiative pipeline that meets or exceeds revenue targets aligning to brand plans and customer strategies.

In this role, you will:

  • Identify, compile analysis & drive fast decision making of RGM opportunities via price accretive actions across the RGM levers of price, mix, pack price architecture and gross to net 

  • Deliver current year RGM business objectives including gap closure or contingency planning 

  • Ensures a 3+ year pipeline of RGM initiatives delivering 2%-3% Operating Profit to the business  

  • Lead Price Strategy projects with analytics in category, competitor, customer & consumer  

  • Understand Channel pricing relationships and develop solutions to reduce channel conflict 

  • Shape and deliver Brand’s price strategy principles of:  

  • Suggested retail pricing (e.g., SRP, EDLP pricing, Promoted Pricing) 

  • Promotion Strategy by brand (depth, frequency, duration, promoted partners) 

  • List price & trade structures enabling retail strategies 

  • Discount Curves 

  • Actively contribute as a cross-functional team member in Brand innovation with accountability for pricing insights & recommendations 

  • Partner with Sales to identify & address executional barriers prior to deployment of price strategy or RGM initiatives 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :    

  • Strong analytic skills and knowledge of state of art tools across multiple data platforms and techniques with ability to analyze consumer, category, customer & competitive data 

  • Understanding of customer economics and sensitivities to enable win/win RGM proposals – margins, price gaps, economics, price sensitives, promotional strategies, PL 

  • Price & Volume impact analysis leveraging different elasticity factors (e.g., primary product, cross-product, cross-customer) or econometric tools and their application to business problems 

  • Expert of the category articulating the role of pricing and promotion to consumer behavior and the business 

  • Evaluate competitor pricing strategies and analyze impact to KC brands, developing recommendations to address business impacts 

  • Support pricing related elements of the Annual Operating Process and assist with pricing related customer challenges or opportunities 

  • Establish the pricing framework, guidelines, and discount curves needed to allow for efficient decision making aligned to brand strategies 

  • Integrate established pricing guidelines into the introduction of new SKU’s developing all pricing elements and securing approval of Brand leadership 

  • Leverage internal and external data sources in the creation of statistical and analytic reviews of the pricing strategy, revenue optimization and promotional price activity 

  • Develop and communicate the strategic, financial and administrative implications of proposed pricing approach 

  • Collaborate with Finance Partners (Brand or Customer) to quantify the ‘cost of the plan’ in terms of trade investment needed to execute promotional strategies 

  • Partner with Sales and Finance teams to ensure trade enables the everyday and promoted price strategies and associated financial objectives 

  • Take a proactive approach towards enhancing the organization’s acumen around pricing considerations 

  • Collaborate with Revenue Management – Canada where product offerings or price strategies have synergies to gain greater KCNA benefits
