ALTA IT Services is seeking a Lead Business Analyst for a high-impact, fast-paced healthcare project with a national health insurance client. This role is responsible for building clinical letters using SmartComm within HealthEdge's care coordination platform, GuidingCare.
The Lead BA will drive the end-to-end integration of clinical letter development processes, ensuring that all outputs meet strict regulatory and compliance requirements for clinical teams.
The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, outcomes-driven, and able to thrive under aggressive timelines, collaborating across teams to deliver high-quality, regulation-compliant documentation and systems analysis.
Key Responsibilities: Clinical Letter Development & Integration:
+ Lead the development of clinical letters using SmartComm, integrated with GuidingCare.
+ Ensure all letter templates meet regulatory and clinical team requirements.
+ Act as SME on the SmartComm-GuidingCare integration processes.
Business Requirements Management:
+ Elicit, analyze, document, and validate business and functional requirements for complex healthcare systems and processes.
+ Translate business needs into clear technical specifications and workflows.
+ Facilitate and lead requirements gathering and design review sessions.
Testing & Quality Assurance:
+ Own the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) process - from test planning and documentation to defect resolution.
+ Identify system gaps, compliance issues, and design deficiencies with root cause analysis and resolution planning.
Documentation & Communication:
+ Prepare high-quality business documentation, process flows, and reports adhering to organizational standards.
+ Serve as a liaison between business users and technical teams to ensure accurate translation of requirements.
Issue Resolution & Support:
+ Troubleshoot complex problems across systems and processes, collaborating with IT, business, and vendor teams.
+ Track, prioritize, and manage open issues to resolution.
Leadership:
+ Mentor and guide junior analysts, assigning tasks and ensuring quality deliverables.
+ Provide strategic insight into process improvements, requirements development, and regulatory alignment.
Required Skills & Experience:
+ Mandatory:
+ Hands-on experience with SmartComm for clinical or member communications.
+ Deep knowledge of GuidingCare, especially integration and letter generation workflows.
+ 5-8+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in the health insurance or healthcare domain.
+ Proven experience leading complex, high-visibility projects with aggressive timelines.
+ Strong understanding of healthcare compliance and regulatory documentation standards.
+ Ability to work independently, drive outcomes, and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
+ Preferred:
+ Experience with HealthEdge systems or similar care management platforms.
+ Familiarity with clinical workflows, UM/CM processes, and payer operations.

Job Summary
The Tourism, Recreation & Adventure Leadership Program at OSU -Cascades in Bend, Oregon, invites applications for one or more fixed-term, non-tenure-track full/part-time Instructor positions to teach on a term by term basis for the academic year. Some of these appointments may be reviewed for renewal or transition to an instructional position on an annual basis at the discretion of the Dean of Academic Affairs.
Applications will be considered throughout the 2025/2026 academic year as opportunities become available.
This position is located in Bend, Oregon.
Instructors may be needed to teach on campus undergraduate courses in Tourism, Recreation & Adventure Leadership. If hired into a term-appointment, the anticipated start dates are September 16, 2025, December 16, 2025, or March 16, 2026.
The primary mission of the Tourism, Recreation & Adventure Leadership Program is to provide undergraduate level education and the curriculum encompasses most standard fields of the discipline. Key Responsibilities
95%: Teaching:
Administer and teach course(s) term-by-term in Tourism, Recreation & Adventure Leadership.
Complete course assessment processes and continuously improve teaching effectiveness. Some courses may require driving a university vehicle or a personal vehicle on behalf of the university.
5%: Participate in advising and mentoring students:
Advise students, be available for office hours, complete record-keeping and minor administrative tasks.
What You Will Need
Master's Degree in in one of the fields listed (or a related field) is a requirement:
+ Tourism, Recreation or Adventure Leadership.
This position MAY require driving a university vehicle or a personal vehicle on behalf of the university; therefore, the incumbent must successfully complete a motor vehicle history check, possess and maintain a current, valid driver's license in their state of residence, be determined to be position qualified and self-report convictions as per University Policy 05-030.

- $50- $50 a day/night (including tips) - this depends on the number of tours given
- TIPS! These can range from 20 to over 100 for a 1-2 hour tour
