Reporting to the Sr. Director for Product Management, the Business Unit Manager is a key leader within the product management team, responsible for driving global leadership and regional success across their respective product lines.
The Business Unit Manager is responsible for building and developing a high-performing team of product management professionals, guiding them to drive long-term commercial success and ensure that the product portfolio is aligned with global customer needs and commercial targets. The Business Unit Manager works closely with Regional Commercial, Marketing, R&D, and Operations (manufacturing) teams to identify customer needs/pain points, bring innovative solutions to market, and create differentiated offerings that address those challenges. Through collaboration, this role helps Hach customers navigate their water quality and regulatory requirements while ensuring that the company's products stand out in the market.
The Business Unit Manager leads the development and execution of annual growth plans, with a clear focus on enhancing customer workflows and delivering impactful, customer-centric solutions across diverse regions.
This position is part of the Product Management department and will be **onsite in Loveland, CO or Dusseldorf, Germany.**
**This role will require travel for up to 25% of the time, both domestic and international.**
**In this role, a typical day will look like:**
+ Ensure the team is doing the right things (focusing on the critical few) and doing things right (leveraging Veralto Enterprise System- VES, and best demonstrated practices) through hands on coaching & mentoring, with a solution-oriented mindset. Prioritize customer workflow and needs to guide team efforts towards impactful solutions.
+ Deliver annual objectives for the relevant product lines including revenue, margin, share gain, pricing, quality, and successful new product commercialization.
+ Lead cross-functional problem solving when performance is not meeting targets, always considering customer impact and continuously optimizing for improved workflows.
+ Partner with Regional commercial teams to demonstrate new and higher standards for well-executed new product introductions and commercial tactics to drive growth for existing products, ensuring customer workflows are enhanced by every product or initiative.
+ Drive unique go-to-market strategies that differentiate the business unit and its offerings from competitors, positioning products and solutions as essential to customer workflows.
+ Identify unique selling points and create tailored strategies to communicate these effectively to target markets.
+ Maintain a strategic rationalized portfolio of products within the product line, including growth, margin improvement and lifecycle related initiatives.
+ Inform New Product Development (NPD) roadmap decisions and product definitions; validate business cases for new product opportunities, focusing on solutions that address specific customer pain points and enhance overall workflow efficiency.
**The essential requirements of the job include:**
+ Bachelor's degree in a technical or business field required; MBA strongly preferred.
+ Minimum 5 years of experience in product management / commercial experience.
+ 1 to 3 years of people management/leadership experience required.
+ Demonstrable experience in translating customer needs into product requirements, adapting to the cultural context and business practices of diverse regions.
+ Ability to travel up to 25% of the time; both domestic and international travel is required.
+ Fluent in English.

We are looking for a Test Engineer focused on developing design verification and production test systems for newly developed Hach products to ensure they meet their performance, quality, and reliability requirements. This is an excellent opportunity to optimize your technical skills in improving manufacturing quality and product performance! This includes activities such as historical data analysis, test design, documentation, and implementation/validation of equipment and process changes.
This position is part of the Test Engineering team located in Loveland, CO and will be on-site.
**In this role, a typical day will look like:**
+ Design, develop and deploy automated production test systems to Manufacturing Operations.
+ Design and develop design verification test systems for new product designs.
+ Participate in creation of test requirements and test strategies.
+ Provide cost and schedule estimates for test systems developed.
+ Ensure test system designs meet testability and reliability criteria.
+ May fabricate test systems as required.
+ Provide test system support to the Operations team by resolving issues and providing training on deployed test systems
**The essential requirements of the job include:**
+ B.S. in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or physical science. Associates Degree plus 10 years of engineering experience may substitute for Bachelor's degree.
+ 5+ years of experience in hardware (instrument) test system design preferred.
+ Demonstrated experience in common test software tools (i.e. National Instruments LabVIEW, Test Stand Certificate, etc.).
+ Demonstrated experience applying statistical principles to analyze data.
+ Experience integrating test system peripherals, such as printers and scanners.
+ Experience working with common data communication methods and devices (i.e. USB, Modbus, RS-485, etc.).

+ Lead a VES organization that will directly provide formal and informal VES training and coaching. Augment with other sources of training and coaching (VESO and outside sources). Improve VES training and facilitation by pursuing certification in VES tools for self and others.
+ Audit existing processes and systems to assess/determine actions required for improvements.
+ Analyze data and processes to evaluate improvement opportunities for quality improvement impact. Provides input and recommendations for the identification and selection of improvement projects.
+ Assist in the development of action plans in support of +QDIP improvement projects.
+ Participate in appropriate daily management, KPI, Operational and PD reviews.
+ Communicate and drive "Best Practices" across the business and facilitate Veralto leadership benchmarking sessions.
+ Manage team including performance management, compensation increases, development actions, consulting on career aspirations, extending support to indirectly supervised associates.
+ Develop succession capability and build talent funnels to ensure growth objectives for Veralto.
+ Establish and manage the VES function budget.
+ Facilitate the Annual business Planning process and align VES initiatives with business priorities.
+ Support and align on integration of new acquisitions.
+ Ability to commit to 50% of required business travel.
**QUALIFICATIONS:**
+ Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline preferred (Physical Sciences or Engineering). The successful candidate's educational background may also include an undergraduate degree in Business, Marketing, or Operations, or another relevant industry-related field. Masters in a related field or MBA preferred.
+ Years of Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience leading various lean processes in different functions with exposure to Toyota Production Systems, Six Sigma and/or VES. Significant practitioner experience in quality principles and technical tools (problem analysis, statistical tools, design of experiments, variation reduction, design for six sigma, control charts) and similar experience building a strategy and leading improvement efforts in a variety of functional areas such as Operations, Commercial, Supply Chain and for the overall business.
+ Demonstrated ability to build a strategy though the identification of gaps and root causes, then executing on countermeasures and leading through influence.
+ Substantial experience in a multinational senior leadership position with ideal background and experience in Industrial and Manufacturing businesses, experience in global companies producing products in a complex global environment.
+ A 'Gemba based' leader who has demonstrated experience working with Teams at Gemba to drive great VES adoption with an eye towards 'hands-on' learning. Examples include working in Operations Cells with Production Engineers or working with R&D Teams installing Visual Project Management.
+ Experience and working knowledge/application of LEAN tools and concepts preferred.
+ Great computer skills (data analysis, word processing, spreadsheets, graphics, statistical tools).
+ Must be able to set and attain goals and initiate actions to resolve problems and improve products and processes.

**QUALIFICATIONS:**
+ Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline preferred (Physical Sciences or Engineering). Masters in a related field or MBA preferred.
+ Years of Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience leading various lean processes in different functions with exposure to Toyota Production Systems, Six Sigma and/or VES. Significant practitioner experience in quality principles and technical tools (problem analysis, statistical tools, design of experiments, variation reduction, design for six sigma, control charts) and similar experience building a strategy and leading improvement efforts in a variety of functional areas such as Operations, Commercial, Supply Chain and for the overall business.
+ Demonstrated ability to build a strategy though the identification of gaps and root causes, then executing on countermeasures and leading through influence.
+ Substantial experience in a multinational senior leadership position with ideal background and experience in Industrial and Manufacturing businesses, experience in global companies producing products in a complex global environment.

- Monitors and maintains laboratory supply and chemical inventory to assure effective laboratory operation.
- Assists in the maintenance of quality management system in the Laboratory.
- Provides technical support and performs special assignments to support the Lab, Production, Engineering, and other Laboratory Customers.
- Assembles laboratory reports; maintains notes on progress of analytical testing; reports analytical observations and findings without deviation; and informs laboratory customers of variances from standards immediately.
- Provides First Aid on off-hours and as needed. Meets all requirements of a Medical First Responder.
- Provides atmospheric and vessel entry testing for production facilities as needed.
- Observes plant and laboratory safety rules and regulations at all times.
- Assists in training of laboratory personnel and provides work direction as required.
- Assists in laboratory continuous improvement efforts (i.e., process improvement, variation reduction, cycle time reduction, cost reduction).
- Continually works to exceed customer expectations through the effective production and delivery of accurate, precise and reliable results.
- Hazardous waste sampling, hazardous waste packaging/loading duties, container marking and labeling, hazardous waste container handling and management, respond to
- chemical spills and releases, and conduct and document routine inspections
- Performs other duties and assumes other responsibilities as required.

- A minimum of twelve (12) hours college chemistry and one year laboratory experience, preferably in a chemical plant environment OR three plus years laboratory experience,
- preferably in a chemical plant environment is required is required.
- Must have the ability and desire to work 12 hour rotating shifts.
- Ability to lift 25 pounds is required.
- US work authorization.
