- Applying design-for-manufacturability (DFM) and design-for-assembly (DFA) principles
- Generating and managing all documentation necessary for PCB fabrication and assembly, including Gerber files, BOMs, and assembly drawings
- Performing design rule checks (DRC) and electrical rule checks (ERC) to ensure design integrity
- Participating in design reviews and providing technical feedback and revisions
- Supporting prototype builds and assisting with troubleshooting and revisions during testing
- Proficient in PCB layout and design using industry-standard EDA tools
- Solid understanding of high-speed digital and analog circuit design principles
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, datasheets, and technical documentation
- Familiarity with IPC standards (e.g., IPC-2221, IPC-7351)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work across cross-functional teams
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills to manage multiple design projects
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Technology, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in PCB layout/design in a manufacturing or engineering environment
- Experience with multi-layer boards, high-speed design, and EMI/EMC considerations preferred
