**IN THIS ROLE, YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE:**
+ Assist in the development of new product designs and sustain existing product production.
+ Identify components for digital and analog designs and develop validation tests to qualify designs.
+ Read, modify, and generate schematics for electronic designs, working with layout engineers to implement any necessary changes.
+ Use advanced diagnostic and test equipment to characterize and validate components.
+ Compose documentation, reports, and communications to support your activities.
+ Coordinate with global engineering teams, external test labs, and sourced product vendors and provide development and validation support.

**FOR THIS ROLE, YOU WILL NEED:**
+ Bachelor's degree in technical field of study such as Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
+ Experience reading or generating schematics and electrical system wiring, selecting electronic components for electronic circuit design, and usage of electronic diagnostic equipment such as digital multi-meters, electronic loads, power supplies, logic analyzers, and oscilloscopes.
**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS THAT SET YOU APART:**
+ 2+ years of experience in hardware design or related field.
+ Experience performing hardware characterization testing.
+ Experience generating programs for microcontrollers (C language) and/or FPGAs/CPLDs (VHDL/Verilog).

**What you'll do:**
In this role, you will lead product design engineering for Eaton's Circuit Breaker Electronics as part of Power Components Division. Responsibilities will include new product development, maintaining third party certifications, compliance with standards, supporting the resolution of production, product quality issues and addressing customer application issues. They will spearhead hardware engineering projects from the initial concept through the production launch, work with contract manufacturers, advise and assist on production test.

ManTech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Hardware Engineer to join our team in Ft. Meade, MD. This is a full time position with 5 days being onsite. This position is part of a team that provides engineering and Information Technology services to provision, manage, sustain, innovate, modernize, refresh, reengineer, and secure the Nuclear Command and Control (NC2) and Non-NC2 cryptographic production infrastructure.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Analyzing hardware specifications and system/subsystem requirements to conceive and document a practical design for hardware components to include servers, network devices, transmission media, storage devices, user interface devices, and special processors.
Ensuring problems with operational hardware have been properly identified and solutions satisfy user’s requirements while preparing functional requirements and specification for hardware acquisitions
Developing hardware installation schedules based upon set-up, integration, and test timeliness while assisting with preparing installation guides, field test procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
Conduct site surveys, assesses and documents current site network configuration and site-unique requirements, preparing engineering plans and site installation Technical Design Packages, configuring computers, communications devices and peripheral equipment
Responsible for scheduling requested evaluations submitted from vendors, receiving, unpacking, and setting up submitted commercial equipment for evaluation and setting up appropriate tools and sensors to support evaluations.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in communications engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics, or related discipline from an accredited college or university and 7 years of experience as a Hardware Engineer analyzing complex hardware systems for SIGINT solutions. is required.
Five (5) years of additional hardware engineering experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
Experience with VHDL, Vilinx, Vivado or similar tools/technologies is requried

Must have a current/active TS/SCI w/ Polygraph
