Key job responsibilities
This role will be responsible for the operations of the cryogenic systems, which includes reconfiguration, documentation, and quantum processor integration. In addition to DR operations, the scope of the role also includes assembly, integration, and testing of novel cryogenic RF/Microwave hardware.
A day in the life
You will work within the Cryogenic Hardware team and alongside the Test and Measurement team to reconfigure, assemble, test, and operate cryogenic systems weekly. You will coordinate with stakeholders on reconfiguration requirements, documentation, scheduling, and integration of new devices. In addition to cryogenic systems operations, you will work along side Cryogenic Hardware engineers with assembly, integration, and testing novel hardware projects. The ideal candidate embraces a fast-paced startup environment-they must be able to learn quickly, operate independently, communicate clearly, and consistently demonstrate reliability.

Basic Qualifications

  • BS in electrical engineering or computer engineering

  • Expertise in hardware design for embedded applications from SOC/MCU integration, power architecture (DC-DC, battery), and sensor definition / integration

  • Understanding of compute architecture and peripheral IO functions (PCIe, USB, I2C, SPI, UART, SWD)

  • Working knowledge of PCB/flex layout for optimizing for high speed SI and PDN

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively bring-up, debug, and validate mixed-signal designs

Preferred Qualifications

  • Understanding of imaging systems and image processing for ML applications

  • Expertise in emerging sensing technologies and sensor design highly preferred.

  • Ability to take a methodical and insightful approach to data analysis

THE ROLE

We're seeking a passionate Hardware System Integration Engineer to join our Hardware Development Team. WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Lead complex system integration efforts for enterprise-grade storage arrays, bridging hardware modules, firmware, networking, and storage interfaces to create seamless, end-to-end solutions.
  • Architect and implement innovative solutions, defining system Bill of Materials (BOM) and guiding component selection in partnership with vendors and our commodity team to enable high performance.

  • Debug and troubleshoot complex, integrated system issues, performing root cause analysis and collaborating with internal teams and external OEM partners to drive solutions for field escalations.
WHAT YOU BRING
  • Hands-on expertise in x86 architectures and networking, with a solid background in automating system validation and testing.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot complex, system-level issues across multiple technical domains.
