Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is looking to add an **Electronics Engineer - Hardware/Software Integration/Principal Electronics Engineer - Hardware/Software Integration** to join our team of qualified and diverse individuals in **Robins Airforce Base, GA.** This position will be in our Avionics Integration Organization.
This position can be filled at either the Electronics Engineer level or the Principal Electronics Engineer level, depending upon the qualifications below.
This candidate will be focused on hardware integration, Computer Off The Shelf (COTS) software integration, and engineering documentation.
Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
+ Candidate will perform datacenter hardware/software integration, documentation, drawings, and software development.
+ Physically construct rack-based datacenter systems with a focus on safety, quality, and ease of repair
+ Install system interconnect cabling for communications, audio, networking, and serial interfaces
+ Interpret, markup/redline, and audit released engineering drawings
+ Configure IT hardware such as switches, keyboard Video Mouse (KVM)/PCOIP devices, and develop or markup system build guides and procedures.
+ Configure operating systems such as Windows, Solaris, VMware, and ESXI.
+ Perform integrated logistics support (ILS) and inventory tracking for inbound and outbound hardware.
+ Participate in offsite system integration activities (20%+ travel)
+ Implement engineering changes to the system as required
+ Work closely with other Engineers and Technicians in the lab & production environment
+ Good planning, coordination, communication, and documentation skills are required.
The selected candidate will be working in a fast-paced work environment and embrace collaborative/team setting across all levels
This is an in-person position that requires working in closed spaces daily. This position may involve travel up to 25% of the year.
**Basic Qualifications:**
**Electronics Engineer - Hardware/Software Integration (T02):**
+ Must have a Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university AND 2 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering; OR a Master's degree in a (STEM) discipline from an accredited university AND 0 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering; or a Ph.D. (STEM) AND 0 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering.
+ Ability to obtain and maintain CompTIA Security+ Certificate. This certificate must be obtained within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
+ An active in-scope DoD Top Secret Clearance.
+ Ability to obtain and maintain program access within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
+ Ability to lift up to 50+ pounds to support equipment installation

Salary Range: $77,200.00 - $15,800.00Salary Range 2: 95,300.00 - 142,900.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.

JOB SUMMARY : The System Integration Manager is a key technical contributor for developing world class, never-been-done-before experiences using multiple advanced hardware and software technologies. This team member is responsible for ideating, developing, managing the development of, testing, and commissioning hardware and software systems as well as leading efforts to evaluate and standardize the ways in which teams, platforms, and components communicate to deliver an epic and reliable experience for our guests and team members.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage the hardware/software integration process from conception to final release. Contribute to planning, budgeting, and design and implementation of applications, systems, and components in support of new Universal Creative work. Participate in software, network, and/or electronic architecture and technical reviews for various teams for inputs and to provide guidance for areas of risk or scope gaps.
- Research and design systems to handle closed loop network systems including human machine interfaces and ride and show network inputs.
- Develop hardware/software specifications that will be bid to third party development teams.
- Manage vendors assigned to design, develop, and/or test integration scopes for hardware and software systems. Manage contracts released to vendors. Participate in the entire contracting process from initiation to close-out.
- Manage modifications to hardware/software systems as required based upon design and field conditions. Drive technical improvements across all attractions.Execute, witness or approve testing and test results as assigned and authorized by Engineering and Safety management. Reduce data and report on test results.
- Work closely with Creative development teams on creating the concept of the overall experience and ensuring delivery meets all creative requirements.
- Create mockups and proof-of-concepts. Oversee contractors mock-up, prototype and acceptance testing efforts to ensure results reflect the final installed system.
- Manage hardware/software development teams (external and internal teams). Facilitate input from multiple teams including operations and technical teams to create standardized solutions for integration of systems. Facilitate communication between teams for clear delineation of scope for each responsible individual and vendor.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest in technology and industry trends and introduce new technology concepts to Universal Parks & Resorts.
- Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws.
- Some travel required (less than 30%). Significant vendor management.
EDUCATION:
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical/Industrial Engineering, Computer Engineering/Science, or a related field required. Advanced degrees preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
- 10+ years managing internal and/or external team(s) delivering hardware components required; 5+ years of hardware and software development required; 3+ years of experience with Virtual Reality and/or Augmented Reality system required; 3+ years of experience within the amusement industry preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
