Amazon Web Services' Network Products Development team is looking for experienced test professionals to help build our next generation networking platforms. The right candidate will play a key role in the design and development of our next generation Ethernet switching platforms for our world class data centers.
You will have previous experience testing network products. This includes reviewing designs for testability, developing manufacturing test plans, executing them, troubleshooting issues found during early prototype stages and transition to manufacturing. Compile and analyze production test data using automated data analysis techniques. You should be passionate about the role testing plays in achieving product reliability and quality. Applying skills in developing new test processes, test automation and debug is expected.
Prefer that position be based in SF Bay Area but will consider Seattle candidates. Candidate should be able to accommodate up to 10% travel to other AWS sites and Asia.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering
- 5+ years experience of hardware design and validation of components, subsystems and systems
- Experience performing PCB schematic and layout reviews to ensure specification compliance

About the team
Within AWS Networking the NPD (Network Product Development) organization is responsible for, designing the hardware, building the software, and owning the interconnects for the routers that power the global AWS network. Beyond product delivery we actively manage the fleet or routers in a network that grows by 70% annually. This means tracking key business and operational metrics to ensure that we operate smoothly and minimize or eliminate customer impact due to device related issues for a transparent AWS customer experience.

Basic Qualifications

About This Role
In this role, you will be responsible for the advanced platform-level validation of next-generation Lightmatter products. You will be expected to develop product-specific platform validation test plans for products from development to high-volume manufacturing. It also involves engaging with silicon design, digital verification, software, packaging, and system platform engineering teams to influence the definition of the product and to leverage the capabilities of the ecosystem from a platform validation perspective. You will be developing validation capabilities, tools, and platform-focused tests in Lightmatter. Part of the role is expected to support customer deployment and related technical issues.
Responsibilities
- Own development of overall platform-level post-silicon validation strategies and plans for our highly integrated photonics-based AI platform, our photonics chiplet communication fabric and laser module.
- Define validation plan for platform-level qualification and high-volume manufacturing.
- Partner and influence design teams (hardware, software) during pre-silicon targets to ensure Pre-Si simulation meets specifications and milestone criteria. As needed, work with the design team to include validation hooks, telemetry sensors etc on Si, test vehicles and reference systems for comprehensive post-Si validation and monitoring.
- Setting up validation capabilities, automation, and executing validation in Lightmatter facilities.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, Materials Engineering/Science, or other related fields
- 12 years of industry experience in photonics and semiconductor products such as CPU, GPU, networking solutions
- At minimum 7 years of exposure to silicon and system validation

**Job Title:** Senior Hardware Design & Validation Engineer
**Location:** Austin, TX or Raleigh, NC
**Duration** : 18 Month Contract
**Pay Range:** Competitive
**What's the Job?**
+ Design and implement RTL for complex digital IP blocks.
+ Perform RTL quality checks including CDC and lint analysis.
+ Support front-end synthesis and timing analysis.
+ Set up and operate lab equipment for post-silicon validation.
+ Develop automation scripts for lab testing and data collection.
**What's Needed?**
+ Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (Master's preferred).
+ 5-7+ years of experience in digital hardware design and/or post-silicon validation.
+ Strong RTL design skills using SystemVerilog.
+ Proficiency in Python and TCL scripting for automation.
+ Hands-on experience with lab equipment and bench validation.

Our client, a leader in the semiconductor industry, is seeking a Hardware Design & Validation Engineer - AI Semiconductor Systems to join their team. As a Hardware Design & Validation Engineer, you will be part of the AI Semiconductor Engineering team supporting the development of next-generation AI chips. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a detail-oriented approach which will align successfully in the organization.

**What's the Job?**
+ Design, implement, and verify RTL blocks for AI SoCs, including image and video processing components.
+ Perform post-silicon and FPGA validation, including test planning, execution, and debugging.
+ Set up and debug PC systems and lab hardware, including root cause analysis and issue reproduction.
+ Conduct front-end synthesis, analyze timing results, and run CDC and lint checks.
+ Collaborate with verification engineers and lead designers to ensure bug-free silicon.
**What's Needed?**
+ 5-7+ years of experience in hardware design, validation, or system-level debugging.
+ Strong hands-on experience with hardware debugging, lab tools, and system setup.
+ Proficiency in C/C++, Python, Perl, and/or PowerShell for scripting and automation.
