**Summary**

**Responsibilities**
+ Ensure accurate and on time deliveries to our customers in a safe, timely, and professional manner.
+ Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal laws. To include but not limited to pre-trip and post-trip reporting, proper load securement and hours of service.
+ Assist in the warehouse when not delivering product.
+ Work extended hours in-season to meet business demands.
+ Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions
+ Assist warehouse staff and perform other duties as needed or assigned.
**Minimum Qualifications (required)**
+ Class A CDL with hazmat endorsement
+ 2+ years of CDL driving experience
+ Must meet minimum age requirement
+ Ability to read, write and communicate in English and understand highway traffic signs and signals
**Additional Qualifications**
+ Tanker and Air Brake endorsements
+ Must meet DOT and Company requirements
+ Ability to work additional hours and occasional Saturdays to meet business demands
+ Bulk liquid experience preferred

- Operate Class B commercial vehicles (e.g., straight trucks, box trucks, dump trucks, or delivery trucks) in a safe and efficient manner.
- Deliver goods to customer locations or job sites as scheduled, ensuring timely and accurate service.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment and secure loads properly.
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs or safety concerns.
- Maintain accurate delivery and pickup records, including electronic logging where applicable.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding delivery schedules, delays, or issues.
- Follow all DOT, company, and local safety regulations and policies.
- Provide courteous, professional service when interacting with customers.
- Keep the assigned vehicle clean and in good working order.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Clean driving record with no major violations within the past 3-5 years
- Minimum (1-2) years of experience as a Class B driver preferred
- Ability to pass DOT physical, drug screen, and background check
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations and safe driving practices

**Summary**
CHS is looking for a Hazmat Driver to join our team in Wolsey, SD! This individual will haul fuel and propane to our customers, locally and regionally. There could be a few nights/week where drivers are out overnight in the truck. The typical schedule for this role is M-F, we do all daytime deliveries. Longer hours and/or weekends may be needed during busier times of the year.
**This role is eligible for a $3,000 sign on bonus. $500 will be paid after 30 days, and an additional 1500 after 1 year in the role.**
