This is an opportunity to step in as the first Head of Business Operations & Strategy (BizOps) and build the backbone of a company scaling upwards. You’ll be the connective tissue across Serve Freight — jumping into sales, operations, finance, HR, or marketing to resolve bottlenecks, build scalable systems, and align execution with strategy. You will partner directly with the CEO, Chief of Staff, and department leaders to drive organizational clarity, performance, and growth.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Operations: Develop and implement scalable SOPs and workflows across sales, operations, finance, HR, and marketing.
  • Cross-Functional Projects: Jump into high-priority problem areas, diagnose root causes, and implement solutions that restore accountability and momentum.
  • Leadership Alignment: Partner with the CEO and CoS to optimize leadership bandwidth, implement OKRs, and ensure priorities align with Serve Freight’s long-term financial and cultural goals.
  • Analytics & Reporting: Define KPIs, build dashboards, and establish review rhythms that track and drive company-wide performance.
  • Organizational Development: Support role clarity, team accountability, and servant-leadership practices to create a healthy, high-performing culture.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify systemic gaps, propose creative solutions, and implement self-sustaining processes.
  • Training & Enablement: Teach leaders how to run effective meetings, manage with data, and lead through accountability.



In the first week, expect to:

  • Onboard and integrate into Serve Freight.
  • Learn Serve Freight’s history, culture, mission, and long-term revenue targets.
  • Shadow teams across sales, account management, operations, and finance to map current workflows.
  • Begin reviewing OKRs, pipelines, and current systems for tracking execution.



In the first month, expect to:

  • Undergo in-depth training and mentorship with the CEO and CoS.
  • Build a clear picture of Serve Freight’s operational strengths and weaknesses across departments.
  • Deliver quick wins by streamlining one or two high-friction processes.
  • Establish initial OKRs for operations tied to company goals.
  • Create reporting cadences for CEO/leadership visibility on KPIs.



In the first three months, expect to:

  • Take ownership of high-impact cross-functional projects, such as refining the account management process, sales workflows, or financial reporting.
  • Build and begin implementing repeatable SOPs and playbooks for priority processes.
  • Partner with leadership to clarify roles and decision-making structures, removing bottlenecks.
  • Begin facilitating quarterly reviews, ensuring strategy translates into execution.



In the first six months, expect to:

  • Deliver measurable impact through process improvements that increase efficiency, consistency, and client satisfaction.
  • Scale repeatable operations frameworks across multiple departments.
  • Train leaders on how to manage meetings, projects, and KPIs effectively.
  • Partner with the CoS to embed sustainable OKR-driven operating rhythms into Serve Freight’s DNA.

The **Strategic Planning Manager** acts as an internal consultant and facilitator for overall Strategic Planning activities and processes relevant to the BayCare Health System. Areas of focus include BayCare Health System's various divisions (e.g. ambulatory, inpatient, physician, homecare, post-acute, nursing, pharmacy), system-wide service lines, associated hospitals (e.g., general acute, tertiary, behavioral health) and an employed multispecialty physician group.
**Responsibilities** :
+ Leading senior management in the design and implementation of project plans to frame our health system strategic initiatives, and meet deliverables and target deadlines, managing multi-disciplinary strategic planning projects ranging from single projects to complex engagements with multiple workstreams for the development of plans in support of service lines, hospitals, and other areas of the care continuum.
+ Analyzing current and future market and population data, synthesizing business intelligence, industry and market trends/data into information and knowledge to drive strategic decision making.
+ Supporting analyses of business development opportunities, conducting future geographic footprint studies including prioritization for key components of the care continuum (e.g. physician, ambulatory, inpatient).
+ Supporting the strategic study component of evaluating potential joint ventures and acquisitions, developing historical, current and projected market and facility demand for healthcare services, completing physician community and strategic manpower analyses.
+ Monitoring and reporting State regulatory activities, and supporting community health needs assessment activities.
+ In the management of the activities above, the Strategic Planning Manager, in coordination with their direct supervisor and other strategic planning managers, may train, supervise, mentor and manage the performance of the other team members in the department.
+ Required specific skills also includes excellent facilitation and analytical skills.
**Requirements** :
+ Bachelor's degree AND 5 years of experience in Strategic Planning within a Multihospital or Integrated Healthcare Delivery System; OR
+ Master's degree AND 3 years of experience in Strategic Planning within a Multihospital or Integrated Healthcare Delivery System
+ Preferred - 7 years Strategic Planning Multihospital/Integrated Healthcare Delivery System

Summary:
The Director, Strategic Planning prioritizes, plans, organizes, develops, and directs the overall operation of the Planning Department(s) in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, industry standards, and regulations that govern the organizational enterprise. These efforts will be taken to ensure that the organizational goals are achieved within the highest degree of quality, service, and team member engagement.
Responsibilities:
+ Develops and refines the organization's strategic plan, including identifying and assessing potential strategic initiatives. 
+ Manages business development and planning issues with facilities operations utilizing knowledge of the healthcare organization, as well as administration ofapplicable standards and laws.
+ Utilizes knowledge of principles to coordinate interactive planning, participatory management and influence management.
+ Executes strategy and problem solving to spot trends and developments to direct the development of business plans and performance improvement.
+ Directs the development of business plans and performance.
+ Coordinates in-depth business profile research on prospects and competitors.
+ Analyzes market research and identifies new opportunities and prospects for growth.
+ Leads the implementation of strategic initiatives, monitoring progress, and making necessary adjustments. 
+ Effectively communicates the strategic plan and its implementation to senior leadership, employees, and stakeholders.

Required
+ BS or BArequired.
+ Five (5) years' healthcare management level experience in strategic planning, business development,market research or related executive area.
+ The ability to analyze complex information, identify opportunities and risks, and develop effective strategies. 
+ The ability to lead cross-functional teams, communicate effectively with stakeholders, and build relationships,
+ The ability to plan, execute, and monitor complex projects. 
+  A strong understanding of business principles, market dynamics, and competitive landscapes. 
Preferred
+ MS, MA, or Advanced Degree
