About the role:

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform technical industrial hygiene assessments, including air, noise, and chemical sampling.

- Monitor and evaluate COVID-19 safety measures related to workplace population density, PPE, and sanitation.
- Stay current and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local EHS regulations (experience in Cambridge, MA compliance is a plus).
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of technical IH experience, preferably in consulting or laboratory environments.
- Demonstrated ability to independently perform sampling, plan studies, conduct assessments, and complete statistical reporting.
- Experience conducting risk assessments and accident investigations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience preparing client-ready reports.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with IH data tools and statistical software is a plus.
- Preferred certifications: CIH, ASP, CSP, or CHMM (not required, but highly valued).
- Strong knowledge of Fed-OSHA and EHS regulatory compliance; local Cambridge experience is a plus.

Stantec is seeking a Scientist/Environmental Engineer/Safety Professional to lead a team of EHS professionals/EHS compliance specialists delivering EHS and sustainability solutions to commercial, pharmaceutical, food and beverage, manufacturing, mining, oil and gas, power, and other industrial clients. As a Safety Subject Matter Expert, you will provide the following consulting services to our clients:
- Strategic support for client's Contractor Safety Program
- Training plan recommendations and requirements

- Coaching and mentoring of client staff and their contractors.
Projects may include

- Integrate Design for Test (DFT) principles into new product development (NPD) and engineering change (ECR) processes.
- Develop and implement test methods for root cause analysis (RCA) of failures.
- Lead lab testing and certification activities to UL, CE, and ETL standards, ensuring compliance with ASME A17.5, ASME A18.1, and other applicable regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with certification agencies (UL, ETL, TUV, CSA) and external laboratories to achieve product compliance.
- 5+ years of professional product engineering experience, including 5+ years in a lead or senior test engineering role.
- Proven expertise in mechanical and electro-mechanical system testing and validation.
- Proficiency with CAD and 3D modeling software platforms such as SolidWorks and CREO.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Experience with Highly Accelerated Life Testing (HALT), environmental, and vibration testing methods.
- Direct experience with lab testing for UL, CE, and ETL certifications and compliance to ASME A17.5 and ASME A18.1 standards.
- Working knowledge of product compliance and certification processes with agencies such as UL, ETL, TUV, CSA, and external labs.
- Experience in FDA medical device compliance is a plus.
Pay Range: $100,000-$150,000 - Commensurate with experience

Job Description:
Under the direction of the Safety Department Manager, the Safety Compliance Coordinator - Logs is responsible for driver electronic and paper log oversight in accordance with FMCSA regulations and company policy. Previous experience in transportation safety coordination is recommended.
Core Responsibilities & Duties:

Assist drivers with day-to-day HOS-ELD issues/questions

As directed by Safety Manager run and audit HOS reports daily

As required, places vehicles/drivers out-of-service for HOS related violations

Provide log instruction to drivers
-
Audit & edit logs to correct driver mistakes

Communicate DOT Regulations and DOT interpretations in compliance with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations

Maintain and track audit reports

Copy and distribute documents as requested

Assist all Safety Department incoming phone calls and inquiries

Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:

Graduation from high school or GED equivalent

Computer skills: Excel, Word, Internet, AS400 and web-based systems

Requires strong interpersonal & communication skills, compliance, implementation, and auditing tasks

Must be familiar with standard DOT or Agency Compliance concepts, practices, and procedures

The Aviation Safety Compliance Manager will oversee all aspects of regulatory compliance, including FAA, EASA, and other relevant aviation authority requirements.
