Job Summary:
We're looking for a Staff Healthcare Data Scientist to bridge our robust data infrastructure with high-impact AI applications. You'll analyze downstream use cases, design optimal feature mappings from standardized healthcare data models, and develop sophisticated data transformations that maximize AI application performance. Base Salary Range
$59,000.00 - $79,000.00At Zelis we are committed to providing fair and equitable compensation packages. Position Overview
The Healthcare Data Analyst will be responsible for analyzing and managing healthcare repricing claim data, with a focus on various pricing methodologies including Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial reimbursements. This role involves leveraging data to ensure accurate and efficient claim processing, offer insights into contract performance, and communicate results to both internal and external stakeholders.What you'll do:
Analyze and interpret healthcare claim data to support/recommend decision-making processes.
Analyze and interact with data in SQL tables.
Utilize Excel for data manipulation, analysis, and reporting.
Understand claim payment methodologies such as Medicare, Medicaid, and Commercial Reimbursement.
Create visualizations and dashboards to present data findings (Tableau experience is a plus).
The ability to multi-task and work on multiple assignments will be required.
This individual must also demonstrate clear and concise communication both verbally and in writing. Including sales, client facing teams and clients
Actively contribute innovative ideas and support ad hoc projects, including time-sensitive requests
Maintains awareness of and ensure adherence to ZELIS standards regarding privacy.

What you'll bring to Zelis:
2+ years of experience in healthcare data analysis.
1+ years in claim reimbursement methodologies (Medicare, Medicaid, Commercial)
Experience with Tableau is a bonus but not required.

Data Analyst needs 3+ years experience in Operations in the Healthcare industry
Data Analyst requires:
- Experience understanding claim adjudication for member and provider reimbursements.
- Experience with Facets platform using Claims, Provider, Network, Product Benefit Configuration
- Knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid programs
Data Analyst duties:
- Responsible for configuring all types of managed vision care products in the system (using both the Product Key Sheet method and manual configuration)
- Responsible for product configuration accuracy utilizing the configuration tools for manual and automated product creation.
- Write SQL queries and export from database to analyze and troubleshoot configuration issues, as well as perform issue resolution of requests.
- Perform and resolve product configuration questions/issues sent to the Business Configuration production team without guidance.
- Maintain relationships with Implementation Managers, Account Managers, and develop a cohesive cross functional, results driven working environment
