Summary:
The Adult HealthCare Intern is educational and training-based role. This position will participate in introductory education regarding the roles and responsibilities of entry level healthcare positions with the potential to �specialize� and train in a defined entry level position: Unit Secretary, Patient Care Technician, Transporter, Registration, Greeter, Patient Safety Companion, Dietary Aide, and Environmental Services.

The Physical Therapist restores patient's function, alleviates pain, and prevents disabilities by planning and administering medically prescribed physical therapy.
**Primary Responsibilities:**
+ Conducts thorough, skilled physical therapy evaluations to identify patients' physical and functional impairments and establishes individualized plans of care in conjunction with patients and/or family members/caregivers

The Mammography Technologist I will be responsible for performing quality patient care and mammographic images for successful diagnostic of patients for the radiologist. This also includes creating a tranquil environment, so patients will be able to adhere to examination instructions.
**Primary Responsibilities:**
+ Identify anatomical orientation on all required images and assures proper file identification on all images
+ Demonstrate competency performing all mammographic procedures and the operation of all related equipment
+ Greet patients, obtain history, and enters information in computer system
+ Obtain mammographic images according to guidelines
+ Maintain logs; process paperwork for biopsies
+ Utilize sterile techniques preventing contamination
+ Maintain quality standards as it relates to HIPPA regulations
+ All clinical aspects of mammography suite; maintains cleanliness of examination rooms. Stock necessary medical and radiologic supplies.
+ Assists in the completion of the accreditation process for American College of Radiology (ACR) every three years Maintain CPR certification
+ Observe patient vital signs during examination
+ Provide coverage as needed (i.e. in the event of call outs or extended patient schedules).
+ Provide instruction/mentoring to new hires.

+ Perform all mammographic images daily in guidelines to ACR accreditation
+ Utilize sterile techniques preventing contamination

**Required Qualifications:**
+ High school diploma or equivalent
+ ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologist) (M) certified
+ Diagnostic Mammography certified
+ Demonstrated ability to adequately use, or learn to use, the department's computerized system and its associated devices

+ Associate degree or Baccalaureate degree in radiography, radiation therapy, or nuclear medicine
+ 1+ years of experience as a general radiologic technologist

The role of the **Medical Assistant** is to provide care to patients/significant others via direct and/or telephone contact, following established standards and practices. **Primary Responsibilities:**
+ Demonstrates clinical competence in the direct care of patients in established area(s) of practice and assisting MDs with procedures
+ Performs clinical duties within scope of practice complying with the accepted department standards, policies, and protocols
+ Demonstrates a proactive approach to patient care, focusing on addressing each patient's individual and family needs at the time of service; communicates identified needs in a timely manner
+ Directs and/or escorts patients to exam rooms in a timely manner
+ Demonstrated clinical competence when assisting physician/mid-level healthcare professional and/or nurse during exams and office diagnostic procedures/treatments
+ Performs authorized procedures competently (i.e. vital signs, vision screening, selected laboratory tests) as directed by physician or nurse in clinical practice area
+ Seeks validation/guidance from physicians, mid-level healthcare professional and/or nurse when necessary
+ Prepares e-prescriptions for processing to pharmacies when instructed to do so by physician per policy
+ Inspects, cleans/prepares and processes instruments/equipment according to manufacturers' guidelines
+ Processes specimens for transport to laboratory, ensuring that specimens are properly labeled, and appropriate orders have been placed in EPIC
