Responsibilities
+ Maintain the general ledger, including preparing financial schedules and writing journal entries.
+ Oversee cash schedules, inspect account status, and transfer cash as necessary to cover disbursements.
+ Process monthly close of all practices and management companies accurately and timely, ensuring all accruals are made each month.
+ Review general ledger coding on invoices before checks are released for accurate coding.
+ Collaborate with management to obtain necessary information and explanations, ensuring compliance with Management Services Agreements.
+ Ensure accurate accounting for new practices, including opening balance sheets and subsequent adjustments.
+ Reconcile all balance sheet accounts monthly, supported by valid detail.
+ Review monthly reporting packages for accuracy, reasonableness, and completeness.
+ Submit reporting packages for review timely and respond to inquiries promptly.
+ Provide various practice-specific reporting as requested.
+ Ensure the accuracy and completeness of fixed asset records, including depreciation, and implement new fixed asset systems.
+ Determine and record discounts/reserves for practices as necessary.
+ Assist in the annual budgeting process for all practices.
+ Maintain working knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to assigned responsibilities.

Essential Skills

Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
+ Two to five years of fiscal management experience.
+ Prior healthcare experience is preferred.
Work Environment
The role initially requires working four days onsite, transitioning to three days onsite. The environment is part of a dynamic team within the healthcare industry, emphasizing confidentiality and compliance with industry regulations.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $31.25 - $38.50/hr.

- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Risk Management, Analytics or other related field is preferred; high school diploma or GED, in concert with industry experience, in lieu of an associate's or bachelor's degree is necessary.
- 7+ years' experience handling large accounts at a high level of responsibility.
- Exercises sound judgment and exhibits a strong critical thought process to make good decisions, despite time constraints.
- Excellent working knowledge of EPIC agency management system and of underwriting requirements of carriers as well as policy provisions and policy changes.
- Possesses strong oral and written communication skills; communicates effectively with customers and insurance companies.
- Possesses excellent organizational skills and strong financial analysis acumen.
- Able to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, be a team player and exhibit a positive attitude.
- Exhibits solid time management skills; able to work under pressure to meet deadlines and deliverables, and is highly responsive to internal and external stakeholders' needs and requests.
