Physicians needed to conduct Veteran Disability Evaluations (DBQs)



Kelly Government Solutions is a strategic supplier and business partner to the federal government and its key suppliers. Kelly Government Solutions is seeking Healthcare Providers (Physicians – M.D., D.O.) to conduct one-time disability exams for Veterans.





Veterans are in need of evaluations (DBQs) for their service-connected disability exams, and we are searching for healthcare providers looking to supplement your income and fill gaps in your schedule while helping Veterans receive the benefits they've earned. You will be conducting disability assessments for veterans in your office.



This is a contract position which offers:





Supplemental Income: Earn extra revenue without taking on additional clinical shifts or compromising your current patient load. This opportunity is ideal for providers looking to add to their existing income streams.



Flexible Schedule: Integrate these assessments into your practice as it suits your availability.

Compensation: Per-service fee schedule; varies based on type and number of exams per visit

Schedule: 1-5 day per week commitment (between the hours of M-F, 8:00am - 5:00pm); patients scheduled according to your availability and on a monthly basis so you can modify.





MUST have an ADA-compliant office within 50 miles of a needed location.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Participates in the implementation of nursing care plans by performing direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of the licensed nurse.
  • Obtains and records initial and ongoing patient information throughout the cycle of care, including admissions data, vital signs, height and weight, blood pressure, oxygen saturation, intake and output, calorie counts, and other patient information as outlined by policy.
  • Assists with mobility by regular turning and positioning, dangling, and ambulating patients. Assists with use of walkers, crutches, canes, and wheelchairs. Transfers patients to and from other units, departments, or entities. Assists with discharges. Demonstrates proper body mechanics.
  • Obtains or assists in the collection of specimens for diagnostic or waived tests. Ensures accuracy of all labels and timely transfer of specimen.
  • Assists patients/providing care with activities of daily living (ADLs) including eating/drinking, bathing/shaving, oral care, grooming, elimination and assisting with movement to keep them comfortable and supported. Change bed linens as needed.
  • Serves as Monitor/Telemetry Tech for the unit as needed.
  • Providing non-medicated care like dressing changes, skin protection, and use of supportive devices
  • Engages in evidence-based best practices that enhance the patient experience, including SAFETY rounding, communication fundamentals/AIDET, Teach-Back, Narrating Care, etc.
  • Communicating kindly with patients, families, and the care team while promoting safety and quality efforts
  • Maintaining clean, safe and well-stocked patient rooms by following infection standards and keeping the environment organized.
  • Preparing patients for procedures and responding promptly to call lights and overall patient needs.
  • Caring for patients like family by communicating clearly, showing empathy and guiding their families throughout every step of their care.
What qualifications you will need:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • CNA certification with the state or Fundamentals of Nursing Course at accredited school - highly preferred
  • 1+ years of experience in an acute care setting
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support required or must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • Nonviolent Crisis Intervention required or must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
