Responsible for contributing to the Company's strategic objectives of revenue growth, market leadership and quality customer service through the sale of Aesculap products to targeted accounts, and the development of new customers in assigned territory. Aids in exceeding established territory and regional sales objectives.

Responsibilities: Essential Duties

  • Calls on customers and prospects; provides technical, education, marketing and administrative product information and demonstrations; quotes appropriate customer prices. Particular focus on large / medium potential accounts and other contracted accounts, spending approximately 80% (1-4 hours with each) of work time meeting with them - usually in a hospital setting.
  • Responds to customer needs, requirements and problems in accordance with Company policy, and acts as liaison between customer and Marketing, Surgical Business Unit, Customer Service, and Credit departments at Aesculap.
  • Work in partnership with the Surgical Asset Consultant as well as other SBA team members to ensure a coordinated approach to project/customer.
  • Remains informed of new products and other general information of interest to customers; monitors and gathers information on competitive activity.
  • Develops relationships with appropriate personnel within Target accounts.
  • Maintains CRM account records and reports activities and submits as required by the Company.
  • Manages and submits sales expenses in accordance with budget and company policy.
  • Monitors and gathers information on competitor activity.
  • Completes special projects as assigned.
  • Effectively manages personal sample inventory and ensure Setworld product is returned in a timely manner.
  • Attends training sessions as assigned by Supervisor/Manager.
  • Must comply with applicable ISO and FDA regulations as stated in Quality Manual
  • Maintain credentialing within assigned accounts.

Secondary or peripheral job functions:

  • Must be able to travel domestically and internationally by air and car, and work occasional weekends. Must possess a valid government issued drivers license and passport. Requires excellent written and interpersonal skills.

Required:

  • B.A./B.S. in Business/Marketing or Biological/Physiological Sciences.
  • Two to four years of successful sales experience in the medical products industry.
  • Account management skills, which include problem solving, customer relations, and budgeting activities.

**Job Summary:**
This position will be responsible for growing local healthcare business within the **Michigan Region** **(Detroit, Grand Rapids, etc.)** by developing relationships with current and perspective customers in Acute Care, Senior Living, and Long-Term Care sectors that traditionally require expertise around nutritional requirements, regulatory compliance, menu development, disaster planning, and Group Purchasing Organizations.
This role will execute targeted strategies driven from our National Account team (e.g., supporting a business review) and develop and execute regional Healthcare strategies across independent and Food Service Managed business. Sales and customer goals will be accomplished through analysis of sales, suggesting programs, explaining the benefits of our Ingenium Valued Services to customers and conducting customer business reviews, working with Healthcare Marketing, Merchandising and Sales Departments, Brokers, Vendors, professional associations, Culinary Specialists, and participating in sales and marketing activities. Specialists will prioritize time, targets, and team selling efforts (GSC and Regional) based on market insights and data analytics in coordination with the business development team.
**Primary Responsibilities:**
+ Supports and executes targeted Healthcare sales strategies to gain market share and achieve region and individual annual business goals and support GSC Healthcare initiatives, delivering profitable sales growth and penetration across categories, specialty segments, and Sysco brand. Identify the needs of customers and prospects to assemble a product mix that delivers solutions and helps achieve business objectives.-
+ Develop and maintain relationships with customers, chefs and sales team members to champion a team selling process. Track activities and results, collaborate on opportunities, and champion the team selling process through use of Salesforce (Sysco's CRM tool). Leverage sampling in a solutions-oriented manner to close sales.
+ Support execution of prioritized sales strategies through direct selling and engagement of customers and prospects at Sysco events (e.g. Healthcare Seminars w/ req CEU accreditation submission responsibilities) and regional industry professional events (e.g. tradeshows and meetings, ANFP, AHF chapters, AHCA, SDA, etc.)
+ Market and support Sysco Healthcare value added services. Maintain a thorough understanding of Sysco value proposition to include the comprehensive set of Healthcare Ingenium Valued Services and provide local customer support as needed. On an as needed basis, provide nutritional system tools and referrals to consultant RDs to help customers meet federal and state requirements. Additionally, support customer's emergency preparations related to product procurement and provide product recommendations for emergency supplies.
+ Act as the single point of contact for Healthcare connecting the Regions to the Global Support Center (e.g., Healthcare Team and VPNAs/Sr.NAMs) and maintain an understanding of all relevant Marketing Team and VPNA's/Sr. NAM's) and maintain an understanding of all relevant third-party integrations (e.g., DSSI,

**Education Required:**

**OVERVIEW**
You will work in concert with the product management team to analyze market conditions, the competitive landscape, customer needs, and develop go-to-market plans that differentiate Clinical Effectiveness (CE) products from the competition while reinforcing customer value. + **Product Positioning:** develop clear and compelling product positioning and messaging that differentiates our products in the market.
+ **Content Creation:** create and manage a variety of content (e.g., sales documentation, product videos, website copy, blog posts) to articulate the benefits of our products to enterprise businesses.
+ **Sales Enablement:** equip the sales team with the necessary tools and materials to sell our products effectively. This includes training sessions, product collateral, and custom sales strategies.
+ **Partner Enablement:** support the partner ecosystem with the necessary tools and materials to sell our products effectively.
+ **Analyst Support:** create differentiated messaging & materials for analyst briefings, inquiries, and RFPs.

**QUALIFICATIONS**

+ Working with marketing enterprise software solutions
