**XR Regional Clinical Sales Support Specialist - req1516**
**OVERVIEW**
The Clinical Sales Support Specialist (CSSS) role will report into the XR BU and will be a clinical and solution subject matter expert to support the sales of XR Imaging Modality Solutions within CMSU. They will strategically plan product demonstrations and solution consulting based on the information provided to them by their Business Unit, CMSC, and input from field sales and modality specialists. This information will be used to deliver effective demonstrations both virtually and in person at Canon customer Regional and National Show Site Visits with the objective of closing sales opportunities. Assist sales teams in presenting the clinical/technical and competitive advantages of the product being promoted and to address clinical/technical questions raised by attending healthcare professionals. Involved directly in the development and maintenance of the existing customer reference sites and the Key Account list. As subject matter experts to provide direct and continuing âœhands onâ product training to the Sales Team and Applications Team as necessary.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
This is a remote field based position. The qualified candidate will need to reside in the USA.
SALES & SALES SUPPORT
+ Support modality sales opportunities to drive competitive modality differentiation.
+ Provide customer consultation on the clinical & technical aspects of the Canon Solution.
+ Participate in applications and sales meetings, training and seminars.
+ Work with sales team to create strategic approach plan for product demonstration events and demonstrate the product for potential customers as outlined by the sales strategy.
+ SITE VISITS & KEY ACCOUNTS
+ Responsible for maintaining National and Regional show sites/key accounts and customer relationships to ensure ongoing and positive references.
+ Work collaboratively with host site in developing and training technologist in how to host a potential customer the Canon way, follow up with those sites on quarterly basis, observe their workflow to fill in training gaps, and to keep the clinical/sales touch current.
+ Provide clinical advice to improve utilization of the system and ancillary equipment in an effort to improve the customer's business.
+ Work with National and Regional Show Sites to ensure the Canon product and images will be presented optimally during the demonstration process.
+ Work with Show Site staff to ensure site readiness for customer visit.
+ Keep the show site customers up to date on current product and marketing positioning.
+ Interface with service to address any issues as it relates to show sites.
+ The show/demo sites are a reference list for potential customers (site/physicians/staff) to call for a Reference/expert opinion, engage with the RBM team to keep the Master Reference list and demo site profile literature current.
+ TRADE SHOW SUPPORT
+ Participate at Trade Shows as booth staffing, virtually and/or in person, as demo specialist and subject matter experts for sales support, as required.
+ Supplement the Applications team covering booth assignments.
+ KEY PRODUCT PRESENTATIONS
+ Represent CMSU as the clinical expert solutions expert at customer sales meetings to ensure healthcare professionals questions are answered satisfactorily.
+ Product overview presentations and image review at the specific request of field sales organization.
+ TRAINING / INTERNAL TRAINING / MEETINGS
+ Participate in RBM, BU, applications and sales meetings, training and seminars.
+ Maintain industry and product knowledge to be able to address competitive issues as it relates to the customer site visits, marketing, product demonstration and sales process.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
+ Previous CMSU or industry sales/applications experience desirable.
+ Commercial experience in healthcare informatics and advanced visualization technologies desirable.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
+ Excellent Platform/Presentation skills.
+ Previous applications experience a plus.
+ Computer proficiencies required, Microsoft Office, DICOM Viewers, email.
+ Based on Modality Supported: (XR) ARRT RT(R)
+ Must maintain active motor vehicle/driverâs license from the state where the specialist resides.
+ 2 Year Associate's Degree Radiology technology or diagnostic/digital imaging or equivalent.
+ 5 years Clinical experience at a hospital or imaging center.
+ Commercial experience in healthcare informatics and advanced visualization technologies.
+ Previous CMSU or industry sales/applications experience.
+ Pay Information: Min. $97,900 base to max $157,500 plus performance incentive with upside potential.

**Responsibilities**
+ Must demonstrate a superior willingness to help external and internal customers
+ First point of contact on inbound calls, and determines needs, and handles accordingly
+ Creates and completes accurate applications for enrollment with a sense of urgency
+ Scrutinizes forms and supporting documentation thoroughly for any missing information or new information to be added to the database
+ Conducts outbound correspondence when necessary to help support the needs of the patient and/or program
+ Conducts benefits investigations to identify patients' insurance plan coverage for medications, procedures, and travel and lodging
+ Provides detailed activity notes as to what appropriate action is needed for the Benefit Investigation processing
+ Assist with coordination of travel and lodging associated with patient therapy
+ Working alongside teammates to best support the needs of the patient population or transfer caller to appropriate team member (when applicable)
+ Resolve patient's questions and any representative for the patient's concerns regarding status of their request for assistance
+ Update internal treatment plan statuses and external pharmacy treatment statuses
+ Maintain accurate and detailed notations for every interaction using the appropriate database for the inquiry
+ Make all outbound calls to patient and/or provider to discuss any missing information and/or benefit related information
+ Notify patients, physicians, practitioners, and/or clinics of any financial responsibility of services provided as applicable
+ Responsible for placing all outbound calls to ensure the process is complete
+ Assess patient's financial ability to afford therapy and provide hand on guidance to appropriate financial assistance
+ Must follow through on all benefit investigation rejections, including Prior Authorizations, Appeals, etc. All avenues to obtain coverage for the product must be fully exhausted
+ Documentation must be clear and accurate and stored in the appropriate sections of the database
+ Must track any payer/plan issues and report any changes, updates, or trends to management
+ Ability to search insurance options and explain various programs to the patient while helping them to select the best coverage option for their situation
+ Handle all escalations and ensure proper communication of the resolution within required timeframe agreed upon by the client
+ Responsible for reporting any payer issues to the appropriate team
+ Must self-audit activities to ensure accuracy and efficiency for the program
**_Qualifications_**
+ Previous customer service experience, preferred
+ High School diploma or equivalent, preferred
+ Demonstrated high level customer service
+ Experience conducting and documenting patient health insurance benefit investigations, prior authorizations, and appeals, preferred
+ Cell/Gene therapy and/or Oncology experience, preferred
+ Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid and Commercially insured payer common practices and policies, preferred
+ Knowledge of the Health Insurance Market Place and the Affordable Care Act preferred
+ Knowledge of ICD9/ICD10 coding is preferred
+ Critical and creative thinking, preferred
